  • Exceptionally clean and neat.
  • $20 to park my car in the parking garage overnight.

“This is a moderately priced hotel in the middle of Japan town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and neat.”

  • Great beds. Great Anime design/theme.
  • Really no complaints!

“The newly remodeled Hotel exceeded our expectations. The room design was cool like visually and design cool. But the bed was great, and the down comforters stashed in the chest of drawers was a nice touch.”

  • Location, location, location.

“This hotel is misrepresented on your map. While it may be on the extreme edge of cathedral hill it is actually located in Japan town. It is far from the center and hard to get to using public transit.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[1] • Location:[8]

  • Good location. Japan town.
  • Very impolite receptionist.

“The receptionist was very rude. No smile service at all. No thank you or you're welcome.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • Quiet.
  • No breakfast room service; bathroom & light fixtures need updating.

“I found the linens to be abrasive and the lighting and bathroom to be dingy and gloomy. Need to remodel the shower/ toilet area and replace beds. I was budgeting because I was in the city for a wedding and knew it was just a one night stay. Would splurge on another hotel if I stayed in San Francisco again.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • Hotel located in Japan town, a cute, quiet area of town. Convenient to public transportation.
  • The hotel restaurant was horrible.

“The Best Western Miyako Inn is located in the Japan town section of San Francisco. The area is clean and quiet with a Japanese market on the corner and easy access to public transportation. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Just avoid the Mums restaurant attached to the hotel. My eggs tasted like a dirty dish rag.”

  • Strategic location to downtown SF.
  • Unprofessional Front-Desk Staffs.

“Arrived and checked into the hotel around 10.30PM. Go straight to the room, and the room heater wasn't working. Called the front desk, and was told it couldn't be fixed until tomorrow since maintenance staffs already went home. What the heck!! A three-star hotel, but it doesn't have a guy who can fix the heater ready 24/7. I'm a frequent traveler (both for business and leisure), and this is certainly the most disappointing experience considering the 3-star rating this hotel possesses. It's understandable if I came during the summer and the heater wasn't working, but this was still late in March when SF weather was still very cold (Temperature was in the low 30's outside in the evening). Well, I expected more from a 3-star hotel!! And frankly, this is the most disappointing 3-star hotel I've ever been staying in. FYI, I've stayed in 1-star all the way to 4-star hotels. Even some 1-star hotels have better customer service than this one. Certainly two-thumbs down for Best Wester Miyako Inn in SF from me.”

  • I felt like being home, quiet, convenience traffic.

“It is just in front of the Japan Town. Good location for shopping, eating and touring. The traffic is also acceptable.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Very clean and in a good location.
  • Parking was expensive $17.50 a night and the lot was sometimes full.

“Good quality facility with restaurant on premises in a walk able location in Japan town, San Francisco.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Very clean, excellent service, spacious rooms, had internet connection.
  • Shower is probably not the best one (though it is good anyways).

“We liked this hotel pretty. It was outstanding.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Clean as steel and a staff that should give national workshops.
  • No complaints. A virtually perfect experience.

“I continue to be impressed with the staff, the fact that the place is phenomenally clean, well positioned, near to services and bus lines, and the people I have encountered there staff and guests alike are the soul of courtesy. Professional and personable. A winner. Hurray for this place a thousand times.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Startlingly clean; polite staff; well managed. Bravo.
  • Nothing to complain about at all.

“I was impressed with the startling cleanliness and order of the hotel as well as the consistently genuine courtesy of the staff and management. Great room capacious and clean and comfortable. Very welcoming and functional lobby phones, internet, places to relax. Comprehensively excellent hotel as good as any hotel I have ever stayed at.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • Nice view from my 8th floor (top floor) window.
  • Staff unfriendly, awful TV reception, window only opened 6 inches, maid was very late after numerous calls to front desk.

“The Best Western Miyako Inn in San Francisco is below average in its hospitality, service, and amenites. Front desk clerks and housekeepers were unhelpful, the TV got about 10 channels in very bad reception, and the entire hotel needs a complete makeover.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[6]

  • Quiet location.
  • Room was not totally clean upon check in.

“The hotel is a solid two star hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near a MUNI bus stop. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. My only major complaint about the room was the level of cleanliness upon check in, dust bunnies were located in the bathroom and there were obvious stains in the carpeting. Staff were generally good. I would stay at this hotel again. All the hotels in the city were booked due to a golf tournament event in the city. ”
