Once a 50s-style motor lodge, it has been newly transformed to offer the styling and personalized service of a boutique hotel. Guestrooms evoke the bright, airy interior of a California beach house, and the courtyard is a colorful feast for the eyes. The Hotel Del Sol's 57 cheery guestrooms brighten the foggiest day. Light and airy, most have courtyard views. Included are 10 one-bedroom suites, we also have Kitchenettes two Family Suites which feature bunk beds, board games, toys and child-friendly furnishings. All guestrooms feature two-line phones with dataport, voicemail, cable TVs, VCRs, pay-per view movies, CD-clock radios, in-room safes, irons, and electronic locks. The look of the hotel was nice and the room was clean.
The electricity went out a few times.

“I would definitely stay at this hotel again and it was reasonable and a had a comfortable bed to sleep on.”

Ease of access, free parking, funky happy vibe, good amenities.
Front desk staff could be a little more enthusiastic. Room staff was wonderful.

“This is a fun, hassle-free place to stay for families and couples. We stayed over a Saturday night and although every room in the hotel was filled with cool international and American travelers with and without kids, the quiet hours were totally quiet and we got a great night's sleep. Our trip included the Golden Gate Park children's Playground, Fisherman's Wharf, and the Bay Area Discovery Museum and the hotel was perfectly situated for everything. We'll definitely recommend to family and friends.”
