“Definitely above average for an economy hotel. It really could be a two star rather than one based on the quality and size of the rooms. Also, half of the rooms have ocean views. The hotel is only several hundred yards from the ocean and a very nice walking trail along the coast, including a pier. Easy access to restaurants and delivery food.”

“Great location for access to san Francisco and Santa Cruz. The hotel is clean and quiet and the parking is adequate.”

“This hotel is very old and will not appeal to anyone except the traveler who is dead tired and needs a clean bed and hot shower. Poor decor, everything is old & outdated. Smells strongly of smoke, mold and damp odors. Toaster & juice machine both broken room temp milk and cheap cereal constitute the continental breakfast. Chairs ripped & dirty windows sealed shut. Low on scale even for an economy hotel.”

“The none smoking room smelled heavy with smoke. The room was not the room we requested. The staff was extremely rude!”

“It looks great on the outside, but the inside was much different. It was horribly dirty, with a yellow slime dripping from the windows. Worst experience ever!”

“I would not stay here again for the price, but for a quick stay over, sure.”

“The staff was very helpful. This is the first time this happened to us. The staff called other hotels in the area to help us find a room. Everyone else was also full. The staff ended up cleaning up a room that someone just checked out of and finding a place for us. The hotel itself was in a pretty shady location and had a bad smell. The room on the other hand was just as nice as your average hotel room, clean but nothing too special.”

“Basic accommodations a few blocks from the ocean and within easy walking distance of two bars with live music plus several restaurants.”

“The location is prime - right next to the beach in Pacifica, ideal for walks and such. Also, it was so easy to hop on the freeway and head to San Francisco which is where we spent all our waking hours. The staff was really friendly. The downside though is that the whole place smelled awful -- the rooms, the halls, the elevator, the lobby. It was a sort of mildew sour rotting smell. They keep all the windows open, but it still smelled. The fridge in our room was loud but didn't actually get cold (at all), which meant our food went bad. The walls between rooms are so thin we could hear our neighbors, enjoying themselves romantically, which is really not something we wanted to hear (but don't begrudge them their loving'). The continental breakfast was wonder bread, cornflakes and oj -- not an issue for us b/c we were headed to the city, but if you like a little something in the morning this wouldn't be a great way to get started.Basically, for the price it was okay, but we won't stay there again mostly because the smell was awful.”

“The first room was noisy with traffic and the TV had poor reception. They gave us a larger room with a kitchenette for the same price. Neither room were exceptionally clean but were comfortable. Staff was very courteous.” Hotel Representatives:
