• The staff was very helpful and friendly.
• The decor was unattractive.

“Great hotel. The staff was all very nice and the room was comfortable, but all the weird plaid patterns were unpleasant to look at. I'd still stay there again.”

• Possible to eat even when arriving late at night. Express checkout.
• The maid knocked on the door just before 9am to attempt to clean it waking me up.

“I felt the staff was experienced in all departments and very keen to help me after a long and difficult journey where I lost my luggage. The late night food I ordered in the bar was excellent.”

• Very pleasant upscale atmosphere.
• Nothing I can remember.

“I was pleasantly surprised that there was not more airplane noise, since the hotel sits right by the runway. The room was very neat and nicely decorated. It also had a nice desk for my husband to use to conduct his business. And the Wi-Fi was a definite plus.”

• No breakfast provided.

“Although this was a nice hotel, I was surprised that no breakfast was included. Most airport hotels have a free continental breakfast but the Sheraton did not. Even some fresh fruit would have been a nice touch.”

• The bartenders were very friendly.
• The pool and jacuzzi were under construction and I was put on a smoking floor.

“The location is great if you are flying in and out next to the airport, but inconvenient if you are working downtown. The pool and jacuzzi are under construction. Room service was cheaper than the restaurant and fast and good. They do not differentiate smoking and non-smoking floors so my room was next to a smoker and the hall smelled like smoke. The staff was friendly and they have free use of a computer and printer in the lobby. So overall this was an OK experience.”

• Hotel parking lot was full; had to drive around the lot searching; gave up and parked in a no parking zone.

“Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. My room was in an area of the hotel under renovation. Room was good; however, I was not able to get a non-smoking room. Hotel was busy with conventions and parking was non-existent. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was overpriced.”

• The room was located far from the elevator through a maze.

“The hotel is very good for business travelers looking for quick convenience. The room we were assigned was several turns away from the elevator. The staff was very friendly and very helpful on area in formation.”

• Front desk personnel friendly and helpful.
• Restaurant alit staff left something to be desired.

“Pleasant ambiance. Hotel staff friendly and helpful with all requests. Even got our boarding pass printed for us so we did not have to wait at the air port. Rooms were neat and well maintained the exterior was clean as well. Work out area and poll would service any need.”

• Professional service, convenient to the airport.
• A little difficult to locate.

“Very professional staff and attendants. Rooms clean and well appointed. Close to airport and downtown. The lobby bar was a great place to relax. Bartender "rocky" makes everyone feel welcome!”

• Confusing access from airport blvd.

• Clean, close to the airport, restaurant in lobby.
• Carpet in room was old and stained.

“The hotel was clean, and the staff was helpful. Except for the carpet, the room seemed fairly new (recently redone bathroom, new TV, nice desk). The location is perfect for early morning flights out of Portland as it is literally next to the runway. It took me two minutes to drive from the hotel to the rental car return.”

• The staff met us with a smile and the rooms were very clean.
• I couldn't find a public trash bin anywhere. I tried to toss away an empty cup for 10 minutes.

“The hotel was very convenient to the airport. The hotel furnishings were comfortable and well kept. The outside areas were nicely decorated with flowers and benches to sit at. The only thing missing was a continental breakfast. I'd stay again.”

• The rooms were spacious, loved the sauna and pool.
• Gym was a bit small and outdated.

“Overall the facility was simply fantastic! The hotel is located virtually down the street from Portland Airport. It is fairly conveniently located, and I can see why! The staff are quite helpful, the rooms tasteful, and service excellent! I stayed with a large group, who simply loved the place! We had another group stay at the Nearby Holiday Inn, who did not enjoy their stay as much as we did. Hence, for the price we paid, we got lucky! A fabulous hotel, and I'd highly recommend it!”

• Nice bed and bedding.
• Poor construction, noisy heating, loud doors in hallways, poor sound proofing.

“The beds and bedding were comfortable. However, there was no sound proofing and we were up all night with slamming doors, voices in the hall and very noisy heating system. The "remodel" was shoddy and cheap.”

• Bar/restaurant service was outstanding. Food was excellent.
• The bathroom. Mold on tile grout, floor had water damage.

“The location couldn't be more convenient to pox. The bar/restaurant service was outstanding. The food was excellent. Beds were very comfortable. I was disappointed to find moldy grout in the shower, and water/leakage damage to the bathroom floor. That's not something I expect from Sheraton. Overall, a good experience. We'll consider staying here next time we have late/early flights.”
