• The location was ideal for my purposes.
• Had dusty hallway with plastic on the floor - renovation.

“The room was convenient to elevator. I thought there would be a service elevator. I ran into different personnel using the main elevators. It wasn't unpleasant, but once I skipped to the next one as there was room for only one guest to ride.”

“Clean rooms, comfortable bed, good location. Bad things is, we need to pay parking fee $10 for every night and all for nothing. My car is damaged. Bad management. On my complaints, she told me that's not her problem.”

• Seemed newly remodeled the room was beautiful!
• Noticeable cigarette smoke in a 'non-smoking hotel'.

• No management there to tell my problems.

“Would not recommend this hotel. I have tried to call the Hotel Manager to resolve my issues and she still has not called me back. Very Disappointed in the service of Red Lion!”

• Bathroom, location and construction.

“This should be a 1 star or at the most a 2 star hotel. Under no circumstances should it be a 3 star.”

• Construction started at 8:30am, hotel staff wasn't all that helpful.

• The bed was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Lobby seemed tired, hallways were very average for a remodel and the TV was old analog.

• The location was great, staff was friendly.
• Their internet connection is very weak.

“This hotel is no where close to two. Not only the three rooms of mine air condition are not working but other room complained as well. Bathroom is old and dirty.”

• It was very convenient and the price was good.
• The air was not working efficiently and it was hot on the 5th floor.

“The hotel was undergoing a remodel so things were kind of a mess. There was a sign near the temp control that explained how the heating and cooling systems worked - there was also a stand fan in our room which indicates that the personnel knew that the air conditioning was not operating efficiently. It was very hot in Portland that weekend and the 5th floor was very uncomfortable. We have stayed there before and had a better experience than the one we had this time.”

• Great bed! Clean, the "bath and body works" soaps were a very nice touch.
• The hotel staff could not help with any local entertainment ideas. And only a few brochures in lobby.

“A nice clean hotel, with very comfortable new beds. Great location for Convention Center. Good for business but not a great hotel for leisure.”

• We received good service from front desk lady who checked us in and manager who checked us out.
• The hallways smelled bad, washrooms were small, the air con in the room didn't work well.

“When I got there, it wasn't as bad as what I had imagined. Don't get me wrong it wasn't the greatest and definitely cannot be compared to other 3 stars but it was fine and rooms was clean and service was very good. The hallways, when stepped out of the elevators stunk and needed more lighting. The wireless worked well.”

• Nothing.
• Got panhandled in lobby, room had mold on curtains and in tub, food left in refrigerator from prior guest, TV was in poor working condition, no AC.

“Following night 3, I could no longer stand the room. There was mold and mildew on window coverings and in tub, leftover food in refrigerator, 2 dirty box fans were available because there did not appear any air conditioning, staff was rude and lacking follow through and we got panhandled in the parking lot and in the lobby. When I was moved to a new floor, there was a substantial improvement, however it could not overcome the problems we faced in the first half of our trip.”
