• Clean, freshly remodeled.
• Housekeeping staff was over-jealous about cleaning room.

“Nice location, 2 blocks from MAX line into Portland. The staff was generally helpful. Clean rooms, well appointed. What one would expect in a 2 Star. Internet was free including wireless. Parking was $14.00 but much less on the street which appears quite safe in this area. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning. Biggest complaint was I couldn't get a 2 bed room, they were nearly full, had to sleep on a roll-away the first night, not bad but not good.”

• Clean room and facilities. Friendly staff.
• Not much scenic interest in the general area that I could find.

“Room was clean with plenty of towels and amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had one dinner in the restaurant and it was fine - a cut above standard hotel meals. There is a small selection of Oregon wines and the ones I tried were quite good. The hotel is two blocks from the Max, light rail system, which was convenient for getting to the airport. The only drawback - I couldn't find many restaurants in the area.”

• Well managed, excellent facility.
• No mini-fridge.

“Excellent choice for those needing a location in NE Portland, a few blocks from Lloyd Center and the Convention Center. Substantially less cost than similar hotels in downtown Portland. Dining room was a great surprise excellent cuisine at reasonable process and a killer breakfast cafe. Hotel is well located and easy to get to/from. I will definitely stay again.”

• Clean, responsive when there was a problem. Free parking.
• Very noisy despite doublepaned windows. Request something that is not on the parking lot side.

“Excellent staff, hotel very clean and appealing (including bed turned down), great central location. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you as there is considerable street traffic noise despite double-paned windows. Fully booked, the hotel's boiler could not handle water needs, so we had a cold shower. When we spoke to the manager, we were immediately offered breakfast on the house and another night's stay. We were pleased with the offer, especially since we would had a hot bath the prior evening.”

• Front desk staff was very responsive to requests.
• Room was small but if you're a business traveler it had what you'd need to work away from the office.

“All the staff from housekeeping to the front desk was very friendly and responsive to their guests questions, requests and comfort. Easy access to the rose quarter and Lloyd center; plenty of shopping at the mall and a good selection of restaurants within walking distance.”

• Very clean motel and room, good mattress, close to downtown and tram. Awesome!
• Parking can be an issue.

“I have stayed in this motel a number of times and have always had an enjoyable stay. The staff is friendly and willing to go out of their way to accommodate. Great location near downtown, convention center and the rose garden coliseum. Well worth it.”

• It's on the east side of the river.

“The hotel is excellent. It is clean, friendly, and close to the max line and restaurants. The downside is that it is across the river from the main downtown area, so if you are coming back to the hotel after the max closes (around midnight) you have to take a taxi. You can't walk to the main sights of Portland from here.”

• They need to pick up the used towels at the pool and bring fresh ones more often.

• Parking was $9, which is fine, but the lot is not big enough to accommodate the number of guests. I could not leave or I would lose my spot.

“The hotel meets the expectations of a 2.5 star hotel except for one thing: The parking garage under the building is too small to accommodate all guests. When I checked in I was told that there might not be room for my car even though I was willing to pay the $9 for parking. I found the last spot, but was then forced to take a cab to a downtown event because if I took my car out there might not be a spot when I got back. Otherwise, the staff is friendly, room was clean and large. Location is good.”

• Staff was terrific. Very helpful. Rooms were clean, quite and comfortable.
• The pool and sauna were a little disappointing.

“Overall, a quality hotel. Location was very close to the light rail. Getting downtown was very easy. Hotel is good location for shops and eating as well. Staff was very helpful.”

• The bed was very nice.
• You were not able to get anything to eat after 11:00 p.m. And the bar did not even open until 4:00 pm.

“We were very disappointed at the hours of the restaurant and bar. They opened late and then closed early. When we got back from our concert we were not able to get anything to eat or drink at 12:00 am. Also when we went to eat dinner at 5:00 pm the restaurant was closed for a private dinner. This was very disappointing. We had to sit in the bar and eat from the bar menu. When we asked for directions somewhere, they gave us the wrong directions and we had to find the place on our own.”
