  • Staff was super friendly and the hotel room was very nice, comfortable and clean.

“The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was spotless and the bed was SUPER comfortable. I could not believe all the amenities for the price!”

“Moderate hotel on the columbia river.”

  • The deck employees are rude.

“The hotel is very nice, but as I mentioned above the experience with the employees was not good.”

  • The hotel is located right next to the Columbia river. The view is wonderful.
  • The hotel is in disrepair on the outside. It didn't appear like a 3 star hotel.

“The hotel is located in close proximity to the Columbia river. The view is great. The parking lot and outside of the building do not say 3 star hotel. My room was fine but had a slightly musty odor as if it had not been used for a while. The staff was not particularly friendly. I was somewhat disappointed with the hotel given that it had a 3 star.”

  • Very good food.
  • Noise.

“Spent the night here had two drunk woman in the room next to me, called the front desk 4 times finally at 3:00 am they passed out. Never again.”

  • Convenient, parking, easy access and
    comfortable bed.
  • Torn sheets, mismatching room decor, soap scum in tub.

“While the overall aesthetic of the hotel was wonderful, and the room itself was nice, spacious and clean, the tub had soap scum, hair and dirt in it. When I left a comment card asking for it to be cleaned it was not. The comforters did not match the decor of the rest of the room, which was well decorated and very nice. This took away from the look of the room. While the matching is not really an issue, torn sheets are. The sheet was worn enough that there were tears in the sheets.

  • Happy hour.
  • Bugs in the hotel room (fruit flies and small spiders).

“Beware of little bugs!”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Location, comfortable beds, being able to take walks on the river, walk-way & park.
  • Charging almost ten bucks for a continental breakfast. No exhaust fan in the bath.

“Beds were comfortable, and the rooms were nice and relaxing with little noise from the freeway, (the fan probably masked it but it was a fairly quiet fan). Having the Riverwalk close, the community and historic parks nearby was a nice surprise. The room set-up was ok but felt as if the two queen beds crowded the room a bit. There was only one lamp for the two beds. This is a just being picky on my part, but the coffee packets didn't have portion info so it was hard to tell how much water to use for brewing.”

  • The fact that it is on the water.
  • It just needs some updating.

“The staff couldn't have been nicer but we were surprised that there was a dog show happening with lots of four legged guests (not necessarily a bad thing but) and the hotel just needs a little updating in the common areas.”

  • Bath & Body Works toiletries.
  • Everything else. This hotel was horrible.

“The area that the hotel is in is a bad one. There is limited parking. The room had some sort of weird odor initially. I'm not sure if it dissipated or we just got used to it, but it didn't smell good at all. The air conditioning didn't work. One of my biggest pet peeves with this place was the shower head. They use those shower heads that shoot water at you like little needles. Those needles hurt like the devil. How this hotel calls itself 3 stars is beyond me. It's no better than a Super 8, in my opinion. It's old, it's poorly designed, and it's not in a pleasant neighborhood. If you want to stay at a Red Lion, stay at the one directly across the river aptly named Red Lion at the River. Red Lion at the Quay is a dump.”

  • Beautiful view on the river.
  • Pillows had bad smell.

“This hotel is located on the river in Vancouver, WA with a beautiful view. The hotel however is older and needs a bit of refreshing. Hotel Lobby is attractive with a few different sitting areas. One of my pillows on the bed had a bad smell to it. The bed is comfortable enough but the entire bedroom needs an update. Bathrooms are large and has a separate vanity area, both of which are updated and quite nice. Close to freeway access and small downtown area that doesn't really have much going on. Not many restaurants in the area and what's there didn't seem appealing.”

  • Good sized, clean rooms, nice outdoor pool, good restaurant.
  • Small workout facility.

“Great hotel in a good location. Free high-speed and parking which is a huge plus. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Would stay there again.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Convenience to the freeway.
  • It wasn't quite a 3 star stay.

“The room was adequate, but not the cleanest. I have a phobia about pink fungus in the bathroom grout. When you enter the room, it was not a fresh smell that I smelled.”

  • Beds were extremely comfortable.
  • Pool was too small, not enough lounge chairs.

“We were surprised that the inside of the hotel was very nice as the outside is not attractive. The beds were extremely comfortable.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Right on the river, very nice bed.
  • Tiny bathroom.

“The rooms were very luxuriant but tiny. The staff played dumb about a basketball tourney going on that weekend. It was right outside our window literally 1 foot away. Super noisy and started very early. Right on the river - beautiful. Wonderful city park and farmer's market 2 blocks away.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • Location was excellent, room was clean.
  • Small room, did not allow for early check-in.

“Room was small with oversized furniture, but clean and met our needs. Excellent Downtown location and great view of Columbia River, although a river-side room was not available. Conveniently close to freeways.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[3] • Location:[1]

  • Nothing.
  • Not clean, not comfortable, very loud, horrible location.

“The bathroom was clean. There were stains on the bedding and the beds were very uncomfortable. Loud hotel. Horrible location, train tracks ran right next to hotel and trains ran all night long. Planes flew over hotel from PDX so also very loud.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[10]

  • The location on the river is wonderful.
  • Restaurant is painfully slow. Over 2.5 hours for lunch.

“Comfortable, clean, well located but hotel on the river with recent upgrades to interiors.”
