• Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed and pillows.
• Food quality in sports bar was just OK, parking was expensive.

• Close to my customers.
• The stains on the sheets were disgusting!

“Not that this could be exactly helped by the Marriott but the fact that I showed up to a hotel surrounded by swat and police and a suicidal jumper on the 14th floor I wasn't very happy. The sheets were stained with what I suspect was some body fluids. The ATM that was accessible was broken. The food tasted poor and gave me mild food poisoning. Next time Id be happy to spend more money on something a little closer to quality. And the rates being charged for entertainment were sad considering the quality of the place.”

• Cleanliness of my room could have been better.

“I was traveling on business for my stay. My room did not have the greatest view and I had to call and make special cleaning requests since there were large spots left unclean on my mirrors, in my bathtub and on the sink but the service was excellent and I especially liked having one person to call for anything you needed. The location is a bit off from the middle of town but it wasn't too terribly far and there were abundant resources to help you get where you needed to be. Valet service was fast and courteous.”

“Clean and pretty, this hotel was a pretty good blend of cost and value. I did not like feeling dimmed with charges for newspapers, water, Internet and the like.”

• Nice view, quiet, easy location.
• Bathroom in lobby was locked. Not fun after a long drive trying to check in.

“We enjoyed are stay at the Marriott. The staff was quick to serve and it was very clean and classy. We would stay here again.”

• Able to take my martini from the lounge to my room. Great hot tub and pool.
• No towel racks--had to keep moving towels out of the way.

“Great location. Beautiful river view. Great staff--friendly, smiling, helpful. The bathroom was really small with no where to put shampoo etc and no towel racks except in the shower. Very frustrating to keep having to move stacks of towels.”

• I loved the lotions, shampoo & conditioner, the down comforter and the view!
• There was no parking at the hotel; we had to pay for valet or public parking.

“I loved the hotel and the room. I will go back next time we are in Portland. I wish I would have known about the parking situation and that I needed to pay for parking.”

• I loved the king size bed with the down feather bedding.
• I did not like that they charged my credit card and then are denying it even though it shows on the credit card bill that they did.

“Over all this was a really nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only problem with this hotel is that they double charged me and are saying that they didn't even though I have a statement showing the charges.”

• Only parking available was Valet at $26 nightly.

“Clean comfortable quiet room. Very friendly staff. Location is a bit far from Max. Completely turned off by the $26 a night parking charge.”

• Smallest hotel room I've ever seen.

“Classy and nice with friendly, attentive staff. Clean and crisp. Too many attendants to tip shuffled between multiple staff quickly and rushed. The particular room we received was so small we never felt comfortable despite all amenities being pristine. The pool was only 4 ft deep though the work out room was well stocked and again, extremely clean. The hot tub was pumped full of chemicals and foamed when running. I would recommend this hotel but with the encouragement to view your room before settling in to a "closet".”

• The pool and fitness centers were in good condition.
• Parking was $26 per day.

“While this is a nice hotel, the $26 per day for parking was completely unreasonable, plus the tip for the valets. Parking in the area was not easy on the night we chose to not use hotel parking. The hotel room only had one mirror in the bathroom. The bathroom had no exhaust fan so it was very difficult to use the only mirror in the room.”

“This was a great hotel, very clean, excellent location. Staff was great. Room service closes at 12am and restaurants close at 10pm. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay here.”
