• I liked the quiet location of the hotel.
• I did not like the noisy hallway outside our door.

“The hotel is in a nice quiet location. It has a beautiful lobby and many nice areas to sit. Our room was okay, however, the television was having problems and the desk clerk never followed through in having it repaired.”

• Once inside hotel the setting was nice.
• Located in busy industrial area--lots of construction going on.

“Would I stay there again--sure--would I rush there no..good hotel for visiting Sonoma Vineyards..not too far to get to Armstrong Redwood Park or Korbel or Hartford Family Wineries..many wineries close by.”

• It was close to the golf course
• lots of deferred maintenance

“This was originally a Red Lion, bought by Doubletree. Apparently, business isn't good. The elevator buttons worked intermittantly. I had to push the button several times to get it to assign a floor. The door handle to my room only worked if you lifted up. If you pushed down, it didn't work. The carpet had stains, paint was worn and showing age. Stains on the walls, etc. The air conditioner in the room didn't work well. No matter what temperature I set the thermostat, it seemed to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it worked,sometimes it didn't. It is attractive when you drive up, but the neglect to the property is obvious. I get the feeling it is owned by a company that is either out of money, or doesn't want to spend anything keeping it up.”

• Waitress made a late lunch for us even though the dining room was closed.
• The hotel's layout was way confusing. Elevators located on backside of building . Long walk around to room.

“Hotel larger than imagined . Nice lobby and pool. Great 1/2 lb. hamburgers and good breakfasts.”

• The hotel exceeded my expectations and the staff was friendly and attentive.
• There was no way to get a coffee between 11 and 2 pm - gift shop and Starbucks were closed.

“I would definitely stay here again if my business took me to this area. They give you a warm chocolate chip cookie at check in and the staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel is probably the most upscale establishment in the immediate vicinity and is a little further away from the freeway that the motor lodge motel style accommodations nearby.”

• Hotel was extremely helpful and courteous.
• Pool was too cold and could have been cleaner.

“Overall we were very pleased with the hotel. The room and lobby were spacious and new in appearance. The grounds were very well kept up in grooming. But most of all were the delicious cookies given from the desk upon check in.”

“The Double tree is a nice hotel with friendly staff, a cozy lobby, and a great swimming pool area. Overall it is a good value, although the interior of the hotel rooms could use some updating.”

• It had a regular TV
  not a flat screen.

“Even though it didn't have a flat screen TV, it was a great stay. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. It had granite counter tops in the bath and a pretty good tub. We will stay there again.”

• Warm cookies when you check in!

“This hotel was wonderful, the bed was so comfortable. When you check in they give you warm cookies. They have a business center where you can access the internet on their computer. There are different restaurants nearby that are easy to drive to. We felt very safe also.”

• Relatively close to the wine regions for tasting.
• The hotel is a bit on the old side. The floors creak when walking around the room.

“The hotel was decent for a short stay, but it is getting a bit dated. The floors in the room were loud and creaked when walking around the room. It was a nice touch that they provided warm chocolate chip cookies upon check-in a bit gimmicky, but nice if you want a little snack.”

• Lovely atmosphere, very kind people -clean, relaxed.
• The bathroom was to basic and felt old.

“We very much enjoyed our stay here. This large hotel still has a relaxed warm feel and the staff is very nice and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed and quiet. It is walking distance to a few shops which we liked to take in the morning. The weather wasn't quite warm enough to swim but we did sit out by the pool and this area too was well kept even though the season hasn't yet begun. We plan to stay here on future visits.”

• Wonderful fireplace in lobby - rooms spacious with comfortable beds.

“Wonderful place to stay - they had a comp wine and cheese tasting Saturday night which was great. Inviting fireplace in lobby, rooms spacious and beds comfortable. Easy to find right off freeway.”
