“The weather was extremely hot. The earliest check in I could get was noon, and once there I was informed the Internet was not working. Since I was exhausted, I checked in, figuring I could just change hotels the next day if the Internet was not going to be fixed. The room also looked very different than the virtual tour, and only had one chair, not two, even though it advertise a table and chairs. The bed seemed small for a queen, more like a full. Also before we checked out, the card keys stopped working, making the load out process difficult. In hindsight, I would have paid a little extra and stayed at the Flamingo or the Sheraton, both places we have enjoyed on past visits.”

“It was what I expected for the price and length of stay. My son had a hockey game down the street at the Snoopy rink early Sunday morning so rather than drive up from the south bay at 6 a.m. we spent the night here. It was exactly what we expected it to be - just a placeto sleep for the night.”

“My 9 year old son and I had an event nearby, so we slept, showered and had breakfast only. The staff was accommodating; the rooms were clean (for the price). The hotel was located right off the 101 with easy access on and off the freeway. Good shopping very near by. The hotel and parking lot areas were safe for adults. There is a fantastic restaurant located directly in front of the hotel (on Cleveland Ave.).”

“The indoor corridors and thin walls allowed for too much noise and it woke me up several times at night. The room was clean, but its space was mismanaged (everything was crammed on one side of the room. The AC was a bit loud, but did its job. The water pressure in the shower was really nice. The staff was friendly when we checked in at 9 p.m. After a restless night, the coffee at the continental breakfast just wasn't strong enough.”

“The location of this hotel did not make us feel very secure. It was located behind another building on a side street and backed up to the freeway. In the first room we were given, the lights in the bathroom and over the vanity did not work. In the second room, there was an unpleasant odor and the floor vibrated no matter where in the room we were standing. The elevator took so long to arrive that we were hesitant to take it for fear of getting stuck in it. The odor in it was really strong although it was not a particularly unpleasant odor--kind of like some cleaning solution. We then opted to be on the first floor and that room was satisfactory. The remote for the TV did not work, the sink in than vanity was badly cracked and there were many small gnats in the room although we had not opened any windows. The beds were too firm and uncomfortable. When we went to breakfast, we got locked out of our room even though we had the room key because of the security lock on the inside. It opens from the inside with a turn of the handle but that did not unlock it so when the door closed, it was again engaged. There should have been some notice that it needed to be unlocked from the inside prior to opening the door. Through all of our misadventures, the staff was nice and pleasant but, overall, the experience was less than satisfactory.”

“This motel is very basic, rather old and in need of renovation. It is also next to highway 101 with its attendant traffic and noise. During our stay, the limited staff appeared challenged to meet the needs of its many guests, but they tried hard to do so. Although it provides basic lodging, and it appears safe, I would prefer not to stay at it again.”
