  • Very friendly staff, nice and
    large rooms.
  • Fitness room was mediocre.

“Almost everything was great about this hotel from very friendly staff at the front desk and the restaurant, to the large and quiet rooms. The food at the restaurant was delicious also.”

  • Staff was fantastic, having bar and restaurant on site very good, and the shuttle.
  • Rooms little dated could use upgrade, but were clean.

“We've always loved Valley river, our room had not been remodeled and needed upgrading, however our daughter's room had been and it was nice. They need flat screen TV's. Free internet access and parking a plus. Plenty of restaurants and shopping (Valley river mall) very close, easy to get downtown and to UO. They shuttled us to and from concert at Mac court which was great, since parking there is not good.”

  • Had a room right on the Willamette river.
  • Room was very outdated and door didn't shut well.

“This hotel's main attraction is the rooms on the Willamette river. Otherwise, the hotel is outdated, smells funny, and isn't especially convenient to much. However, it has a nice bike/running trail that goes around about 15-20 miles around the river and is great to bike on a good day. You can rent a bike at the hotel, but they aren't in the best condition. They are $15.00/day or $5/hour.”

  • It was a bit out of the way.

“We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“Our room was very comfortable. Roomy and good beds and clean.”

  • Really clean.
  • It's an older hotel and sometimes looked it.

“Very friendly staff, everything was quite easy. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed.”

  • Clean, friendly staff, recently remodeled, spacious rooms with amenities for business travelers.

“A hotel I have frequented in the past. Happy for the inexpensive find on Priceline. Always know what to expect at this hotel, consistently meets expectations.”

  • Nothing.
  • Bad smelled and everything looks old and not clean.

“Very bad experience.”

  • Big Rooms, with (accidentillay, I think) funky throwback architecture and public areas
  • It's in the mall parking lot & the river is not exactly in view.

“Congratulations are due the photographer/web designer for this hotel for their magical transformation of a parking lot motel into a river view resort. It's a nice enough place, just keep your expectations in check. Friendly staff and large comfortable rooms do not a resort spa make.”

  • Room decor -- earth tones.
  • Some parking felt isolated, a bit vulnerable at wee hour.

“A
pretty tranquil feeling place for being next to a shopping center!”

  • The pool area was nice.
  • Front desk not friendly or nice. Major leaks in the bathroom.

“This must be a motel in transition. Everything is very old and rundown. The pool area could be nice if they got new chairs. The pipes in the bathroom leaked all over the floor. The front desk was not at all nice the maids though, were very helpful. (They gave us towels to mop up all the water).”

  • Excellent and prompt service.
  • No feather/down pillows. Room could have been better looking.

“Friendly staff with outstanding service.”

  • Great location.
  • Wish they offered more as far as free breakfast, etc.

“This was a great place to stay and for the money I got it for it was a tremendous bargain. It is a real nice hotel. For the price, however, I would of been disappointed in that it didn't offer many extras that you see at other hotels.”

  • I loved the room size and the view.
  • No vegetarian or Organic food options way over priced.

“Great relaxing hotel if you get a good view, big rooms and
nice staff, shabby on the outside but really nice on the inside.”

  • Large Rooms, walking distance to restaurands
  • Lack of outlets, Old, Old 19" television

“In it's day probably one of the best in town. Needs updating to be competitive with other properties in the area.”
