• Hot breakfast, decent pool.
• Walls were too thin, plumbing pipes screeching.

“This hotel was a bit disappointing. The walls of our room seemed like they were made of paper and we were awakened all night by the screeching plumbing or the baby in the next room. We will not be staying there again.”

“I stayed 2 nights here. I found the area safe and secure. My room was well maintained, neat and clean. Excellent continental breakfast. The staff I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.”

• Great expanded breakfast with helpful, friendly overseer.
• Washer/dryer facilities were down for all 4 days we stayed there. Room frig was a bit small.

“In a decent location, nice little town with nearby Hwy 101, yet next to an RV park. Ended up with non-hotel guests using some of the facilities. Overall though, a welcomed experience. Friendly, helpful personnel. Cannot complain about the room--clean and functional. I appreciate the dressing area/vanity outside the bathroom - best scenario for multiple guests in one room. Two queen beds in the room were perfect for me, my husband and our 15-yr old daughter. Not at all too cramped. The full breakfast was just great with a very nice food variety set up in the breakfast room. Fresh baked cookies 'round the clock. Local newspaper on the door every morning. Spa and small indoor/outdoor pool. This motel had something for everyone in our party and each of us was quite satisfied with the experience. Definitely is underrated at a two-star facility - deserves 3 stars for sure.”

• Comfortable bed, very quiet rooms, fun pool. Great for families visiting the Redwoods.
• Smelled strong of cleaning chemicals.

“This hotel is very family friendly. The pool and hot tub were great for the kids. The rooms were clean and well maintained. So quiet at night, you could hear a pin drop. They gave us a great breakfast buffet in the morning. This hotel is perfect for families visiting the Redwoods.”

• Excellent value for the money.
• A little close to the highway but not bad.

“Great location for those traveling through the Humboldt area. Safe, with easy access to eel river pub next door. Definitely stay here instead of eureka. Wifi and breakfast were included when we stayed.”

• Friendly staff, clean room, definitely pet friendly, good location with plenty of attractions within an hour's drive, river walk across road, pool.
• Beds like slabs of rock.

“Excellent place to stay with a host of attractions and things to do within an hour's drive. Clean spacious room, small bath. Excellent breakfast provided with room, offering a large variety of cereals, pastries, breads, muffins, and a number of hot and cold drinks, plus a hot cooked choice each day. Very pet friendly which we particularly enjoyed. Friendly staff. We would happily recommend it and stay there again next time we visit the coast.”

• Close to the ocean and the giant redwoods, great breakfast.
• Late hours for pool accommodations for children. Could extend after hours for adult travelers without children, thanks.

• Clean, comfortable, nicely kept up. Good pool. Nice staff.
• In a traveler's off-ramp corridor.

“This hotel fully met or exceeding our expectations in every way. We took our 3 and 6 year olds swimming in the heated half covered/ half outdoor pool in early June and it was very family friendly and nice. The rooms were clean and kept up nicely. Good WIFI connection. Definitely would stay again. Walking distance to Denny's Gas close too.”

• Clean, nicely furnished, the complimentary breakfast items were excellent.
• Our bed was not good for those with any type of back problems.

“I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Fortuna, Ca. I myself will select this hotel for my next visit to Fortunakl not or select this hotel again. Staff was great, especially Lori. I am disabled, she made food selection, self service, easier for me.”
