“Although this hotel has been recently rebuilt and all rooms brought up to current standards they still have a ways to go. The entire hotel smelled like stale smoke and mold. Rooms are as expected in a small hotel with two beds, basic tv with hbo and showtime, no refiragator or microwave, no coffee in room (was 24 hour coffee in the lobby down stairs). Bathroom was very small with no dressing room for privaticy, water was good and hot, bath tub needed anti-slipping applied as everyone in party complained of slipping in the tub even with rubber mat placed in first. AC made lots of noise however was unable to cool room down to a confortable level for sleeping. Window did open, however, there was no screen to prevent nighttime bugs from entering. Beds were too soft and when two people were sleeping on them they gave one the feeling of being on a waterbed or row boat. I must rate this stay very low overall and must also state that I have stayed in Motels a lot throughtout the country and Alaska and for the $100 I spent for the night I was not impressed. Motel Six in its early years were still above this one.”

“Dirty, hidden behind big hotel, staff likes to lay blame on other employees for her wrong doing, couldn't find online reservation. Charged me for someone else room, put me in the wrong room, no where on web page does it say its non smoking, only get 1 towel in room, hotel too hot. will not stay there again.”

“Just beyond the downtown area in what is apparently Fairbanks' skid row area with prostitutes and alcoholics cruising the area in front and across from the hotel. Also, the Best Value Inn isn't actually operating, so you're automatically "upgraded" to the Best Western in front of the Best Value. Worst part is people booking electronically won't know that and will wait interminably for a Best Value shuttle van that never arrives not a problem if the traveler were actually informed. My shower didn't even have a shower-head, although one was provided upon request. I expected cheap but this still managed to disappoint. Some of the staff was friendly enough (the cafe workers were very pleasant) but the woman at check-in seemed to be having a bad day every single day I was there.”
