• It was convenient to city and north of the city.
• It was kind of in a run down area of town.

• Not located in the safest neighborhood/or Central Town.

• Enjoyed checking out after the third night. Not a moment too soon.
• No other way to describe this place. It's a dump.

“This hotel was about as basic as you can get. Was far away from downtown Anchorage. Overall, very disappointing considering the relatively high price per night. Having stayed in many hotels over the years this was the worst. Very disappointing.”

• Airport shuttle was not given.

“I was promised shuttle to the airport but they decided they did not have time that morning and in return I was to late for my flight to Cordova, which means I was late showing up to start my assignment. I have not found any time so far this week to write a complaint to this hotel headquarters, but my boss is aware of numerous complaints from other technicians as well as people who I spoke with at the airport. I did not get shuttle to or from the airport.”

• Nothing the room was not clean bad part of town cigarette butts in the room. And smelled really bad like cigarettes.
• They charged my credit card before I checked in. And made me give them a deposit.

“I will never stay there again. I can stay in nice clean Marriott for the same price and not have to have a smelly unclean room that requires a deposit.”

• Very reasonably priced; clean rooms.
• Distant location from downtown.

“The rates were excellent for a 2-night stay and the accommodations were better than satisfactory. Clean rooms, working class neighborhood, and good way to save on expenses.”

• Easy access.
• Shower did not drain; bed was not properly made (no bottom sheet).

• Breakfast buffet was great.
• The lounge was full of things like a file cabinet, mail on bar, peanut butter sitting on counter, things stored everywhere.

“Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet good. Room was clean and would give it a 2-3 star rating. The restaurant and lounge were a little odd in that there were personal items such as; a file cabinet, mail on the counters, newspapers (MANY), just pack-rat type stuff everywhere. There were only a few tables out of probably 10 that you could actually sit at due to the clutter at the tables. The couple that owns the hotel lives there. They were very nice people, but the lounge and restaurant felt as if you were at someone's house that saved everything and processed nothing. It was just a bit odd. I suspect if they cleaned and organized that portion of the business, they would be very successful.”

• The shower, great pressure and hot water.
• I did not like the shuttle service from the airport, an hour plus late. The location of the hotel and the rooms were not in great shape.

“The shuttle service was an hour plus late. The location was far from downtown and looked out on to a main street a lot of traffic noise. The shuttle driver not professional carrying on personal phone calls while driving. Not something you want to hear while on vacation. The hotel desk clerk gave wrong directions. Overall the hotel was in need of fixing up.”

• I appreciate the staff doing the best they could given it was overbooked.
• We had to sleep in a travel trailer with no water behind the hotel because it was overbooked.

• Large room, great complimentary breakfast buffet.
• Not very soundproof, a lot of hallway noise.
