  • Sheraton, it was a more quiet setting.
  • It was dirty and you had to pay for parking.

“I have stayed in this hotel many times in my 41 years living in this state. I wish to never stay in it again. The bathtub had hair in it. We had a dirty towel put in our bathroom as if it were clean. The second night we got the same hotel on your site, we once again got a dirty room and when we asked them to bring new towels and a fork they couldn't even get that right. To top it off we felt we lost our camera in this hotel. When my husband called his was told they did have a camera matching our description but that someone took it. From this conversation we feel maybe an employee took it.”

  • The view from my room was great.
  • There are allot of add on charges, internet, parking etc.

“While the rooms were nice and the food excellent. I was very disappointed to find that there was not free internet in the room, no free parking and no premium channels on the TV.”

  • The beds were very comfy and the rooms were quiet.
  • The rooms were small, hot and stuffy.

“This was the worst three star hotel I have ever experienced. The rooms were very small. The bathroom door would not even open all the way because it ran into the shower rod. The air quality was the worst! It was 72 degrees in our room and there was no thermostat. The air conditioner was the only hope for relief and the A/C vent was directly above the A/C control so the fan ran constantly, but it did not pump out cold air. It was stuffy and miserable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They will also charge you $10 a day for parking, $10 a day for the internet and $1.50 for each phone call, even if you use a phone card.”

  • I liked the new tiling.
  • For a 3 star hotel the king size bed was so uncomfortable and the room was cramped.

“If the beds were more comfortable and the space was a bit less cramped with all the furniture then it could be considered a 3 star.”

  • The hotel and room was very clean. The service excellent.
  • I did not like the fact that I had to pay an extra $12.00 for parking in the hotel parking lot. It was a bit of a surprise.

“This hotel would please anyone. The staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The room was very clean and had all the amenities. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. I would stay there again.”

  • Nice, clean, staff was helpful.
  • They were under construction.

“Over all a very pleasant place to stay. Good location and quiet considering the constant city noises. Parking was expensive.”

  • The decor was very Alaskan. The staff was very helpful. It was quiet.
  • Under renovation. No pool.

“I need to get a receipt for my stay. Could you please send me one? The hotel was not able to provide me with a paper receipt! Very pleasant. It was a 15 minute walk from my business; however the staff was willing to drive me to the place of business each day. This was very helpful. The hotel is very pleasant and quiet. They are still renovating. The decor reflects the Alaskan native cultures which is lovely. I enjoyed my stay. Please send a receipt!”

  • Nothing.
  • Very poor.

“We wouldn't stay here again since when do you have to pay extra to park your own car when they have plenty of parking that they rent out.”

  • The room I stayed in has been remodeled recently and was very comfortable.
  • I arrived very late in the evening and there was a street person sleeping on the floor of the back lobby.

“The hotel is in a state of renovation/remodel and is not as comfortable as is will be in the future. I stayed in a newly renovated/remodeled room. The room was very nice and very comfortable. The staff, as always, was very friendly and efficient.”

  • The staff was very accommodating, quick, and polite.
  • They charge a high rate for parking, internet, and local phone calls. They were also going through a renovation.

“Staff was amazing, location was perfect (right downtown). Rooms were clean, and comfortable. Jacuzzi was broken, and gym/sauna/steam room were not clean. The hotel was a great find but charged for everything. They charge a very high rate for parking. They charge a high cost daily internet charge, and had a ridiculous price for local calls.”

  • It has a good location downtown close to shopping. Comfortable.
  • The Jacuzzi was out of order, even though I called to confirm they had one with reservations.

“The Anchorage Sheridan is conveniently located downtown, within walking distances of the 5th Avenue Mall. The hotel staff is friendly, but do not expect answers about this hotel from Sheridan's main information number, I have been given poor information in the past. Due to construction the Jacuzzi tub is out of order, and there is extra noise, and the TV was out for a day.”

  • Close to shopping and fine dining. Great sushi bar!
  • Under construction, poor room lighting.

“We love to stay here because it's so convenient for downtown shopping and dining. The staff is very helpful and the restaurant is fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there is a fabulous sushi bar right in the hotel. We recommend this hotel to everyone.”

  • Loved original Alaska décor.
  • Next to a cemetery.

“This hotel is currently being renovated so almost all services are not available. The gift shop is nice and prices are on par with other stores in the area. The dining food was greasy, the fruit unripe. Country kitchen across the street was better! The service in the dining room was poor. All waitresses hanging out in the far corner. Desk personnel too busy on the computer to answer questions. The lobby was torn up and lots of noise. Otherwise guest rooms done, dark tones, dark wood, but very comfortable beds. Heater very silent. Bathrooms marble and granite. City views were beautiful. Original Alaska decor very classy and beautiful in lobby but new material to be added updated colors looked good also. Neighborhood is going downhill, lots of litter and kids and "homeless" hanging around outside, frequently being shooed away by bellman.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[7] • Location:[5]

  • Large hotel with a lot of floors, so you have a view from high, however our view was of a cemetery.
  • Room was not that big, you have to pay $10 to park for one night in their parking lot or you have to park on the street.

“Most good shopping is not nearby. It is Downtown so it is busy. It was undergoing some construction, so appearance was not to attractive.”
