  • Many stories give you good views of city and inlet. A few blocks from downtown so congestion is less.
  • Bed was uncomfortable, and lighting in our room was poor.

“My wife uses a wheelchair, and we got an accessible room, the room definitely met all her needs. There were two shower heads in the shower, and lots of hand holds. The restaurant is small with a separate bar, very cozy, and tasty breakfast.”

  • Morning front desk clerk was friendly.
  • The smoke smell when we got off the elevator was nauseating.

“Definitely not 3 star! The lobby area looks fancy but the rooms are old, windows leaked cold air, bathroom flooring and mildew in the tub grout was gross, hairs in the shower stall, not to mention the nauseating smoke smell in the hallway that filtered into the room.”

  • Location - easy access to airport.
  • Dark, not clean, not within walking distance of anything but market.

“Downtown anchorage, an older facility. Apartment style rooms, extremely small bathroom. Did have a nice view of Cook Inlet. Would not want to stay there again. This one wasn't what we expected for the star level.”

  • Location, pet friendly.
  • Old, needs updating.

“I had to request a fitted sheet on the bed, there was only a flat sheet & you could see thru to the mattress. It was clean however.”

  • The location was nice, and close to downtown.
  • Didn't offer complimentary breakfast.

“This hotel is adequate but overpriced. Our room didn't have a fan in the bathroom. There is no room service. At the time we stayed, there was a lot of construction nearby that woke us up at 7 am every day. Their coffee is not Alaskan gourmet. The room was clean, the coffeepot, fridge, and microwave were nice. Customer service was awful and nobody cared about our complaints. We could get a late checkout though, at 2 pm, so that was nice. The hallways smelled funny.”

  • The lobby is fine.
  • The room is dirty, old and cheap.

“This hotel is one star. Every previous review is poor. My family members checked out and stayed across town due to the disturbing state of the rooms.”

  • It was clean, thats the most important thing to me.
  • No soap and only 1 wash cloth.

“I was very pleased with the rooms, they were very clean and the price was great.”

  • Desk manager was extremely polite and friendly.
  • The room was not clean and the shower tub area was bad.

“Located close to Downtown restaurants and shopping.”

  • Large room with micro and frig.
  • Very plain no shampoo mold in tub area.

“Very plain and old. Fine to be rated 2 star or maybe 2 1/2 but not 3 star. Very small entry area. I hear that restaurant is good, from locals but did not eat there. Hotel is a apt. building converted to hotel.”

  • Got to see an old friend who lived in the area.

“I have lived in Alaska since it became a State. '59 and this is one of the Landmarks that withstood the 64 quake and was known as the L-Street Apartments.”

  • Location and the helpfulness of the staff.
  • Building itself - dark drab looking hallways to rooms.

“FYI - there is no pool at this hotel.”

  • Old decor.
  • Dirty, pet hair in the room and all over furniture.

“I liked the property and the location, they should spend a little time and money to better take care of what they have. I would go back, but I would have a cleaner room. It was worth the price.”

  • I liked the location most, the set up of the room, little efficiency with refrigerator and microwave. The wonderful grocery next door is great.
  • A little too expensive for what you get. Thin walls, could hear a party going on next door.

“We always try to get this hotel because of its location and the great grocery store on the corner. It has everything you could think of. The room is ample and well situated.”

  • Convenient location, quiet, safe and
    comfortable.

“Clean, good sized room with fridge, microwave, coffee maker in a safe and convenient location.”

  • Very nice and comfortable atmosphere.
  • The price they charge for the continental breakfast when you get it for free at cheap hotels.

“I liked everything except the staff could have been friendlier and the price of continental breakfast. $20 for two to eat granola and fruit.”

  • Atmosphere was poor.

“The front staff lacked enthusiasm or care for that matter. The hotel is out of the way. The rooms are awkwardly arranged, and construction was fairly heavy and frequent. I would not recommend this hotel for the price.”

  • I got it for a great price from Priceline and it was clean. I liked the refrigerator and microwave in room.
  • The bath tub drained extremely slowly. No AC but windows were open.

“It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Great views and nice place to stay for our overnight trip while up in Anchorage.”

  • Very large and
    spacious rooms with good views.
  • The sofas and upholstering were very dirty.

“15 story, recently remodeled hotel just south of downtown Anchorage's main drag. Spacious rooms with great views to the mountains north and northwest of the city, however, the upholstering was frightfully dirty on the furnishings and the rooms had an awkward layout / plan.”

  • Checking out and leaving.
  • Had to change rooms 3 times. Room not clean, lights did not work (none of the rooms were clean).

“Would not recommend to stay there. The hotel staff in the evening was not helpful. They were very rude and disrespectful. Will not ever stay there again. I am also passing this on to all of my friends and family. Along with all of my clients that come to Alaska to come fishing. Do not stay at the inlet towers hotel. Lobby looks good, but once you get to the rooms they are in crappy condition.”

  • Convenient location.

“I simply would not recommend this hotel. The desk staff was pleasant enough, and the location is excellent, but on three occasions - when I arrived, and twice during my stay - the room was unready for occupancy. Perhaps they are having difficulty in keeping or maintaining a capable housekeeping staff. I departed for work around 7:00 AM each morning, and when I'd returned on Monday and Tuesday evening (after 5:00 PM) the room had no been touched. It occurred to me that a hotel my be acutely aware of those guests who use Priceline and those clients may get indifferent service because they do not pay the usual going rate. I hope that isn't so.”
