  • The size of the rooms were large and the unit contained two bathrooms.
  • The resort was not located near a beach and was not within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

“This resort is a collection of privately owned, rented and reserved units. The unit was large and had a living and dining area, kitchen, utility closet, two bathrooms and fairly large master bedroom. There are several pools on property, though no beach is in the immediate area. The staff was friendly.”

  • Room was
spacious and comfortable like home. Location is good.
  • No beach access.

“Good for family with kids, has full kitchen and grocery store across the street, quiet (not in downtown), have more than enough room to unwind, and
even for big families.”

  • Big spacious rooms, washer, dryer and full kitchen.
  • Long way to city, no beach, not stocked with basics.

“It was so uncomfortable that I actually slept on the couch for the duration of the stay. It is an old mattress and spring combination that had a sheet tied around the springs making it hard as a rock, my wife referred to it as, sleeping in a lava bed. The electrical outlet on the patio area was not working, the key for the Air Conditioner would not work correctly and we had to have maintenance people come in to actually turn it on for us. Internet access is about $10 a day for you to use. i.e. $70 a week, $300 a month. The kitchen was wonderful and the bathroom was spacious. The tile floor in the kitchen area had several tiles that were damaged, broken and loose. There were only one of the two lights above the tub/shower that worked and you can not have the exhaust fan on without having the bathroom lights on. I would not stay here again and can not recommend this resort to anyone.”

  • The units were spacious and clean.
  • Bumped us to a sister property 25 mi away the first night. It took most of the next day to get relocated.

“Aging, but well kept condos. The views vary from ocean/golf course to parking lot/dumpster. There is no beach access. Reception staff polite, but not particularly helpful. Cleaning kept to a bare minimum during stay, but room was quite clean on move-in. The parking is inadequate and often requires a considerable hike.”

  • Beautiful, spacious rooms, very friendly staff and
    nice setting.
  • The vog (volcanic fog) was fairly heavy in the afternoons - not a problem unless you have a child with asthma (like mine!).

“Other than the environmental issues, which are completely outside of the hotels control, it was a wonderful place to stay. Extremely friendly staff, nice pools, great rooms. Very comfortable! Great value!”

  • Beautiful unit, well furnished, nicely equipped, unit was well located within the resort. Easily accessible to main highway.
  • Many of the finer restaurants were at the opposite end of the Ko Kiluau coast. I usually traveled 45 minutes for evening dinners.

“One of the best units and experiences that I have had as a member of Interval International. I used six days of a week that I had available to stay at the Ko Coast Resort, but my week ended on Sunday and I was not traveling until Monday. The common areas were well maintained and nicely landscaped; as whole the resort was beautiful and what one would expect when visiting Hawaii.”

  • The outer facility was neat and clean.
  • There were unwashed dishes in the cabinet, no shampoo etc.

“There was a broken drawer (missing) in the master bedroom bathroom. Dishes in the cabinet were unwashed (food residue still on the plates). There were no personal amenities in the bathroom other than a large bar of soap. You are expected to pay an additional charge for use of the Air Conditioning.”

  • The room was immaculate and very exceptionally furnished. Allowed early check in. Free parking with unit.
  • Were told where restaurant was at check in but not that it was closed because of flooding.

“One of the finest timeshare townhouse hotels ever stayed in with a lovely view from our ground floor unit of the golf course which runs along the property and the ocean beyond. Wished we had more time to stay longer.”

  • The kitchen, bedroom and living room areas were great.
  • One of the bathrooms in my condo smelled funky.

“The Kona coast resort is a great place to stay if you want a lot of room plus a lot of facilities. If I was to return with a family it would be a definite yes. The resort is close to a shopping center and the best beach in the downtown Kailua Kona. It is farther from downtown than most places. Other than a dated bathroom, it is a great place to stay if you don't mind a short drive downtown and need lots of space.”

  • Beautiful setting.
  • Had trouble with air conditioner, but it was fixed promptly.

“Pleasantly surprised to find this was not a hotel, but a condominium complex. Condo was very large - nice living area, dining room, large kitchen. Facilities were very nice.”
