• Price, location, clean.
• Hall ways were old looking.

“We actually stayed in Queen Kapiolani because Castle Resort's hot water was not working in the tower that we were staying. Castle Resort sent us to Queen K when we checked in. It was their sister hotel and right around the corner.”

• The location is only 2 blocks from the beach.
• The parking fee was way too high, $15 a day. It was a way too much, the hotel across the street was only $10 a day.

“Very small and an old hotel. The parking is way too much and you can't charge the parking to your hotel bill. Parking is $15 a day.”

• Very, very friendly staff.
• Dirty, dingy, scary part of town.

“The staff was very friendly and handled my request for a new shower head immediately. Dirty carpet OK room, close to beach, attractions and shopping. Near zoo and aquarium. Scary part of city if walking alone.”

• The location of the hotel.
• The first room smelled.

“The first room smelled and had bed bugs, so the next day I changed my room. The second room was much batter. The location is 1/2 a block from the Waikiki Beach and the main strip. It was a good price for the location.”

• Close to the beach but away from the crowds.
• The rooms are very outdated and need to be refurbished.

“Overall the hotel is good for budget travelers. My room was clean, but needs renovation to bring it more up to date. The public areas of the hotel were clean and nice, the restaurant was good and not pricey.”

• Close enough to the beach.
• Most everything else.

“The Castle Ocean Resort was much lower quality than expected. Our room was not made up on two of the days, never vacuumed during our stay and the air conditioning was outdated and loud. I would not recommend staying here until it is remodeled and brought in to the 21st century - I am quite sure this would have been a fine stay in 1985!”

“Nice hotel, clean and friendly. Parking a bit of a problem. Very busy entrance causing you to possibly be trapped at the front in your car. Overall nice, though.”

“Although the hotel is in a great location to the beach, the staff is unhelpful and always seem too busy to help. Housekeeping was knocking at door at 8:30 in the morning and front desk kept calling to remind us that check out was at noon. Will never stay here again. Avoid this place!”
