“Called the Prince, but nothing remotely regal about this property. It's a dive. Don't stay here: you hear air conditioners all night. Turn your own off and you hear everyone else's. Hairs in bath, bath plug didn't fit so, no bath possible. One night there was 1 night too many.”

“I thought that I had compared fairly closely the hotels available to us when we won this trip. The website showed clean, pretty, updated rooms. They were spacious, I give them that however, the room was dingy with carpeting that was absolutely filthy, peeling paint in the bathroom and closet doors that couldn't be slid open without the bottoms swinging into the closet itself. They provided clean towels each day but never once cleaned or made up our room in the 3 days that we were there. I asked at the main desk about that & was told that they only contract for waste disposal and towel service. We had to ask for clean drinking glasses to be provided and they were only brought to us once when we asked for them. I should have read the comments of the person that said it was one step above a hostel they were right.”

“It fit our short shopping for souvineers just great as myself and wife have mobility problems so the location being less from a block from the international market place and across the street from a Dennys for breakfast. Plus a small grocer for the kitchenette all a short brisk walk, the staff was friendly, the downfalls being it is in need of renovations and updating as the carpets badly need to be replaced, it was roomy for us provided private sleeping quarters for the 4 of us, a half extra bath would have been a nice upgrade but at last we dealt with it only having one and only one shower stall and the fact we were not looking for lux accommodations but more for local to save us the expense of an additional car rental it met our needs just fine, as a long term vacation stay though I would look for better more posh accommodations. The nightly bar brawls on the street front added to our entertainment. I wouldnt walk it alone at nightfall though.”

“For the inexpensive price of the hotel you were one block away from Waikiki beach (just across the street from the back of the international marketplace) and that is an incredible deal- if the hotel redecorated its decor/rooms (old/worn) - they could charge a lot more just for the locale. The staff was very helpful/accommodating, their parking lot is very tiny so you must factor in parking costs (Avg $20 per day) to the price.”

“This hotel is a dump. The rooms were run down. Dirty carpets and paint peeling from the walls. The bathroom was moldy and falling apart. The patio door was locked with one screw. Would not recommend this hotel. From what I have heard this hotel has be recently bought and renovations have started. I would check this hotel out after it has been renovated.”

“The first room we got was totally dirty and with 1 bed (after calling ahead to verify 2 beds). But, the staff was apologetic and upgraded us to a suite, which was nice and roomy. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the Waikiki and close to everything, but it is always busy and you can hear everything that goes on outside, even with the AC running. There are restaurants and bars directly next door and the music goes on half the night.”

“This facility is designed more like a motel from the 70's. All entrances are outdoors, and there is a lot of noise from cars and people outside. Luckily the windows are tinted so no one can see inside - something the luxury hotels across the alley don't offer. The mattresses are thin; you can feel the springs beneath, but if you are there for a quick trip and only need a room for the bed and shower, this place works just fine.”

“For its price, it was an excellent buy in Waikiki. The staff was friendly. Basic no frills accommodations. The small refrigerator was nice. Wake up call provided. High louver windows did not seem secure. Only one chair in room provided.”

“We got what we paid for. The room old and worn. The accommodations were barebones. However, we were close to the beach and all local attractions. Hotel staff made the bed and replaced towels daily, but there are no frills or extras. If you're simply looking for a place to drop your luggage and sleep-this is it.”
