  • Very well kept considering the amount of traffic that comes through here.

“Very central and walking to surrounding amentites is fantastic. Hotel is well organized, clean, and the staff is very friendly. This hotel is high traffic because airline crew check in here as well. I am very pleased with it's location.”

  • Good place to get away and relax.

“Rating was very accurate. Great price and very close to alot of places in Waikiki.”

  • Convenient location.
  • Tiny room. Poor view. Old bathroom.

“The hotel needed major updating. The first room that they gave me had a view of a parking garage and a dumpster. When I moved rooms the second one was slightly better. This hotel had 3 towers. One seemed to be of a 3 star quality. The other two did not. I was in one of the poorer towers.”

  • Leaving.
  • Four room changes in four days. From exploding toilet to leaking ceiling.

“Don't stay there.”

  • Very friendly staff.
  • Lots of outside noise
during the day from the streets below.

“It was a great place to stay, if you like the bustle of the city. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Within walking distance to the beach. Great staff, very helpful and friendly.

“Between my stays in this hotel, somebody took my spring jacket from my suitcase. This was the most disappointing experience I had for many years. Because of this I didn't have a jacket for the whole time of my vacations.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • The location was convenient to the beach and shopping.
  • Room and hallway had a musty smell. Carpets, fixtures, and walls were quite worn.

“The location of the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is great for shopping and beach access. The hotel lobby is very nice, with internet access available on public computers. Staff was friendly and helpful, although there was a bit of a wait to check out. The rooms and hallways did not match the condition of the lobby. Carpets were worn, and bath fixtures were obviously quite old. There was a slight musty smell in the hallway and the room. Overall - an acceptable hotel for a short stay, but not luxurious by any means.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Closeness to hotel.
  • Even the newer building was old and beat up.

“When going to a hotel in Hawaii, one would expect and look forward to spending time at the swimming pool. It's ridiculous that this hotel closes their pool at 6 pm! After a long drive to get to the hotel, I was looking forward to taking a dip in the pool and couldn't. They upgraded me to one of the newer rooms and it still seemed like the room was 15 years past its prime.”

  • Location.
  • Too few public computers with too many teens - just give us free wireless.

“Perfect for a short stay at Waikiki - not too demanding on time and money, yet comfortable and in a great location. I felt no need for a true on the beach hotel while staying there. Bar makes good drinks!”

  • None.
  • Dirty, not well kept, area is seedy at night.

“Unless you are budget constrained, don't go.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • It was within walking distance to Waikiki beach.
  • I didn't like the layout of the hotel where you exited the elevator and came out right in front of the buffet line.

“This hotel was nice and within walking distance to Waikiki Beach. I didn't like where the restaurant was located because as soon as you stepped off the elevator you were standing in the buffet line.”

Cleanliness:[5] •

  • Location.
  • Need renovating due to termite infestation.

“Changed rooms three times. Standard rooms are 1-2 stars bad smell- rust in tubs - no chair to sit in room - bathroom sink on legs and the last straw was termites that the staff knew was in the wing for standard rooms. Andrea at the desk not helpful and when I complained stated they had only one standard room. Asked for manager and she refused to let me speak with anyone. Slept with lights on just in case more termites were in the upgraded room.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Across from Surf rider Hotel where we spent our time.
  • Original room was dirty, stained carpet, tiny bathroom.

“Staff is great, however, the rooms need a major over hall, when we checked in at 1:30 AM the carpets were dirty, stained, no room in bathroom and no internet availability in the room. Changed rooms next day, had to pay an up charge. Not good. At least this room had Internet in the room so I could work.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • The location was great.
  • Dated bathroom with some moldy tile grout.

“The upgraded room had a clogged air conditioning drain, so the ceiling and air was moldy. The room we switched to after that was fine. Bathroom had some moldy grout. Overall, the hotel was fine, public space was nice-for Waikiki, it was inexpensive.”

  • The lobby and entrance was pretty.
  • The room was old nothing updated. Looked like something from the 70's.

“This was a dive.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Very nice staff, and very clean.
  • It was a little dated. Wallpaper peeling, tile/grout very dirty, in the grout.

“We really liked the location, but I felt that the rooms were a bit dated. The beds were very comfy and fairly new, so that was a big plus! Linens were all new.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Quick, clean and convenient for a one night stop over in Honolulu.
  • The rooms may have been too small, if we had been staying for a longer trip.

“Although we had a lovely stay and it was great to sleep in a first grade bed before we hopped back on to a plane, I was disappointed in what I was expecting from a Sheraton hotel. The rooms were old and slightly run down, particularly the bathroom. However the staff were just so kind and helpful that a terrible shower head wasn't really an issue.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • The food was great!
  • The lobby gave the impression that that rooms were star quality. Wrong!

“Great food, great service, rooms need a makeover.”
