“The Ohana Waikiki Malia was a good choice as it was clean, comfortable, quiet and had an on-site restaurant so we could eat our breakfast before catching our shuttle to the airport. You can walk to the beach but the free trolley was an extra bonus that enabled us to go to Ala Mona Shopping Mall. We didn't need to rent a car which was good as traffic can be a headache. The staff was friendly and eager to help, greeting us as we came to the door and quickly getting us settled in. Everything else was within walking distance with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. A great way to unwind after a long flight, giving us an opportunity to get a jump on our two week stay on other islands. Although a little shop worn, I would recommend this to those who want to make a short stay at a good price.”

“Hotel was resonalbly priced, friendly hotel staff. Internet was available in the lobby free of charge, in the room for a fee. Overall a good value.”

“I book a non smoking room, the staff gave me a smoking room. It was not until I yell and scream before they care to transfer me, talked to 3 different person.”

“The location for price was good, with an excellent staff on duty at all times. The room fixtures need updating and upgrading along with the mattress and carpet. The cleaning personnel did an excellent job each day considering the facilities. I would consider this a 2star at best, considering physical facilities.”

“It was an older hotel and the elevator service was not particularly good. Had to wait a long time for the elevators. The area in Waikiki had a lot of one way streets which made getting to the parking garage difficult. Also, getting to the parking garage from the room or lobby made you go from one elevator to another elevator.”

“The hotels location was great! Right in the middle of everything for a great price. It would have been nice to know that Ohana lets all its guests use other Ohana hotels pools and facilities. We found out on the last day.”

“I am an Oahu resident. We look for swimming pools when we stay in a hotel. The rate you gave me was more than the kamaaina rate. You should have put me in something better and with a swimming pool. We overlooked a very bad neighbor's rooftop. Not knowing what you are getting is a bad policy. I'll never do that again. Too scary.”

“Fairly expensive for what you would get other places in the country but I guess that is Hawaii for you. Very uncomfortable beds but the room was clean and the staff was friendly.”

“Hotel was fine for one night stay because of its close distance to Waikiki beach, but I would not stay longer than 2 nights.”

“For the price that hotels are in the Honolulu area, we got the hotel at a fair price. Hotel was clean but could use some freshening up. Appreciated use of the pink trolley line that went with the room - used quite a bit to get around for shopping.”

“Overall, this hotel is a good value for what I bid. It is an older hotel with comfortable bed/pillows. Parking is quite expensive (as is any other hotel in Waikiki). I did find street parking along ala way canal street (a few blocks away). My hotel room was on the 17th floor, I could still hear street noises but it wasn't enough to keep me up at night. Front desk staff was extremely pleasant.”

“Clearly an old hotel trying to squeeze a few more dollars out of tourists before gutting and renovating. Don't think the renovation can come early enough.”

“This hotel is an older hotel and has many stains on the carpet which is damp and old. The smell in the hotel about gags you. They do not clean your room everyday. They just make the bed and leave clean towels. I do not think this hotel should be open, as the mold is in the old carpet and you can see it in the sinks in your room.” Amenities at Ohana Waikiki Malia, Oahu
