“The hotel has a great view from the window. I loved the fact that the staff was very helpful for my stay. They offered me options of places to eat and gave me coupons for their hotel restaurant; which is pretty cozy. Despite the fact that I only was in the hotel room for a small amount of time (basically, wake up, shower and come back to sleep) it was a great experience overall.”

“It has potential, hotel needs new carpet, paint, windows need cleaned. We couldn't wait to get out of the room each day, bed was rough. It was okay for the price.”

“Although clean, the Maile Sky Court is straight our of the sixties with no updates. The staff was friendly, but the room was old smelly, and very small.”

“The staff was very friendly and made check in very easy. Our room was clean and housekeeping quickly brought us extra pillows at our request. The hotel is in need of some repairs, however it is nothing that would make for an uncomfortable stay, just a little bit of a lift. I would highly recommend this hotel for the friendly atmosphere of the staff. I will definitely be staying in this hotel again when I go to Honolulu!

“The open-air front desk was welcoming. There was a koi pond in the lobby area. The room was clean upon check-in. There was daily housekeeping service. When there was a problem with my tub, they fixed it as soon as I requested it. There is free continental breakfast, though I did not partake. Check-out was a breeze. Parking is expensive: $18/day for hotel guests. If I had a choice I would have taken The Bus everywhere.”

“This wasn't a bad place to stay. The room was small, the elevators were slow. The parking lot was difficult to navigate (vehicles parked in unmarked spots made it difficult to get out on occasion, and the parking is expensive). Service was ok, not exceptional. The "continental breakfast" consists of a muffin and a cup of juice or coffee (no refills). Waikiki Beach is within walking distance (maybe a 5-10-minute walk). The hotel was what I expected for the price. If you just need a place to crash, this hotel is just fine.”

“The staff was nice, but the room was tiny and very outdated, but clean. The elevator was very slow getting to your floor. The hotel does have a coin-op laundry facility. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach, a 20 minute walk to the beach where you can surf and go to the International Market. Parking is $18.00 per day.”

“My family and I overall had a great experience at this hotel. Would recommend this hotel to other people looking for a place that has friendly staff, a place away from all the foot traffic in Waikiki, inexpensive, a place where you dont plan to spend most of your time. We only used our room basically to sleep and shower, once day light hit we were out of our room and gone till the sun went down. The only problem we had was the elevators sometimes takes forever. Btw - here's a shocker we didn't have to worry about parking - parking availability was great! We didn't have to worry about not having a space when we got back to the hotel.”

“Rooms, facilities, over all building was simple in design and luxury. No extra frills, simply a place for you to stay which was all we needed.”

“When I disembarked my cruise ship in Honolulu I was originally staying at a well known luxury hotel. However, I decided to stay longer in Waikiki Beach & searched the internet for more affordable accommodations. In all fairness, they did upgrade my room without my prompting. The room was fine, a place to sleep & shower. I found the pool to be quite small & the other clientele to be of a lower socio-economic class. The couples were fat & used poor grammar. Many occasions there would be very intoxicated men out at the pool that would always try to interact with me, (a solo female traveler). I found that highly irritating & wondered where the heck security was to monitor the pool. Of course these drunk idiots were smoking despite the no smoking signs posted everywhere. The elevators were slow & dingy. This is not a modern hotel. As stated earlier, the front desk people were not friendly & seemed angered when you would approach them for assistance. What was up with that? How hard could their jobs possibly be? Perhaps they should get real jobs like the rest of us. I probably would not go back or recommend this hotel. There are way too many to choose from.”

“The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. That's about it though. It cost $18 a day to park our rental car, which we had to have because we were there for a family funeral and there was a lot of things we had to do. The halls were very dark and had no A/C. The rooms were small and I had to use a chair for a bed side table. The A/C vent was broke, so the air was blowing at our face all night. One night we were awoken by ice being spit at our face from the A/C.”
