Just west of downtown DC, these historic neighborhoods are easily accessible by the Foggy Bottom Metro stop. Georgetown is known for its tree-lined streets and stately townhouses. You'll find many popular restaurants and pubs on M Street and Wisconsin Ave NW. Directly southeast of Georgetown is the area known as Foggy Bottom -- popular with the students of George Washington University.
