Buffaloe Lanes Cary Family

- Dinner and show, fantastic food.
- The menu is set, if you don't like Japanese food I wouldn't eat here.
“I've had a wonderful experience every time at Kabuki's, our whole family has. There's dinner and a show, if you make a reservation you won't have to wait as long. The menu is somewhat set though; you will have a small salad (with ranch or ginger dressing), wonton soup. The main meal includes fried rice, fried noodles, grilled greens (usually asparagus with onions), shrimp, and your choice of main course. The main courses are teriyaki or hibachi style, you can choose between chicken, beef, and shrimp or you can mix. They do have a kids menu with a smaller selection. Overall the food is fantastic, you'll have a wonderful experience while you watch your meal prepared before you. Personally I'd rather eat at a great restaurant than at McDonalds.”

- Has potential under new ownership. Want to buy a golf course.
- Midsouth Golf LLC is horrible.
“Following is a list of some of the conditions that exist: One course now closed. Weeds grown up knee high. Its a total loss. The remaining course is the highest priced in the area. Scorecard boxes at 2nd tee areas no longer useable. Sand boxes on tee areas for divot repair removed. Yardage signs with distances and shape of fairway paint weathered off, several signs missing, some have wrong whole numbers. Many trash baskets missing or lying on their sides because the bottoms have rusted out. Towels to dry off golf balls at ball washers missing or torn. Drinking fountains at bathrooms removed. Drinking water no long available on courses for purchase only. Sand bunkers drainage cloth on top of sand, poorly maintained, inferior sand, stones, edges broken down, weeds, poor drainage so often filled with water. Sufficient and useable rakes for sand traps are limited or missing. Computerized individual handicap labels discontinued fee increased $3.00. Limited pro-shop stock, primarily clothing. On course rangers/player assistants no longer available. Golf league use of either course except on alternate basis. Course closed on Monday and Tues. except for late afternoon twilight. Course bathrooms need cleaning, painting and repair. Rain checks no longer available. No full time golf pro. 150 yard markers on golf courses removed. Yard marks on cart path need repainting. Flags to locate holes on greens are now all the same color and hole. Placement is indicated by yellow plastic balls which are breaking or missing. Winter over seeding inconsistent. Weed control on golf course is not done or ineffective because weeds are out of control. Several areas of cart paths have been dug up for various reasons but not repaired. Pot holes on cart paths need repairing. When sprinkler heads are replaced metal distance markers are not replaced. Practice sand trap at HP removed. Practice putting green installed but cant be used. No more outside tournaments such as Sr. pharmacy, chamber of Commerce, invitational, hotel/golf packages, etc. (income producing). No holiday tournaments. No club championship tournament. No member guest tournament. The front of the restaurant appears over grown, dark and uninviting. Difficult to tell it is a restaurant. Tennis courts seem abandoned. Docks at Shoreline marina need repair because of rotted support beams. Dock electrical system in question.”

- I liked all of it. It is well presented. Some one took a lot of time and planning for this museum.
- Nothing.
“It is a very interesting place with lots of things to see other than race cars. It is well worth your time to go. We plan to go back because I know we didn't see everything. Mrs. Petty's doll collection is magnificent. She was there and she is so friendly. She took up a lot of time with us and we really enjoyed talking to her. Thanks Mrs. Petty. Richard's gun collection, watch collection, race cars, motorcycles, rewards, pictures, etc. is so interesting. We also rode past their home. It is a beautiful place. Be sure to go. You will be glad you did.”

Caution Kids At Play

- Fun for all.
- Out of business.
“It was a great place for children and parents of all ages. The ball pit and tubes were open for parent participation and knee pads were provided if needed. The arcade was filled with a variety of games that included carnival type silly things for the youngest of the group. Games gave tickets to trade for toys. The pizza was awesome. Parties were well organized. They used to regularly schedule Friday night sleepover parties. Any child could come, get an unlimited supply of tokens, race through the tubes in the dark while only rope lights wrapped around the tubes lit the way and smoke from smoke machines filled the void, and sleep in a sleeping bag anywhere you wanted even on the rope ladder or in the tubes. Pizza was provided for dinner and doughnuts or cereal for breakfast then home to mommy. It was so funny to watch them try to stay awake all night. Scared they might miss out on something. In fact, I remember fondly, watching one of our regulars fall sleepy face first into his doughnut after a long night of playing.”
