- Wheel-chair and everyone else accessible, free galleries, unique atmosphere.
- Obscure location.
“I've been involved with the Dairy for almost a year and continue to be impressed by the ongoing efforts to keep the arts alive! All the art galleries are free so feel free to come and see what the Dairy has to offer! It is home to dance, theater, music and visual arts. Come check it out!”

Bear Creek Ranch

- They have a rustic picnic shelter with a fire pit and a grill.
- Staff. They certainly don't go out of their way for you in fact they really don't seem to care about you (their client) at all. Park entrance fee.
“I had a birthday party for my 8 year old child here and ran into nothing but problems. First of all, let me say that the $225 you pay to have a party here only covers riding the horses for 1 hour and the use of a very shabby pavilion area for 2 hours. You must pay a $5 park enterance fee for every vehicle that drives to your party which adds up fast. Also you must tip the wranglers. I was surprised by this on the day of the party and after having spoke to staff various times over the course of the previous month mind you. I was infromed that apparently they don't get paid anything by the ranch they work for tips only. Needless to say these two extra expenses added up to be an extra unexpected $100 to an already expensive party. Secondly, the volunteer staff timed the hour of horse rides to the minute. They seemed put out like they didn't want to be there and certain weren't to friendly to the kids. Especially since they overbooked their horsed and only had 1 availble for my 15 children to ride (the $225 was supposed to cover 2 horses). They brought over a little shetland pony to be the 2nd horse, however, only abut 5 kids were able to ride this horse due to some undefined height and/or weight restriction. Third, I'd suggest bringing your own propane if you plan on grilling. I called the morning of my 1 p.m. party to confirm they had a gas grill and propane on site. When we got there there was a grill without propane and they weren't able to retrieve the tank for us to begin our BBQ for over an hour. Overall I can't say I'd recommend this place for an event because of all of the logistical headache. Also they didn't offer anything to make up for all of the mishaps. I must say however that despite all of the obstacles we faced I was able to maintain a positive attitude and the kids were able to have a lot of fun.”

- Cant think of a single thing.
- Management, food, lanes were updated but still behind the times.
“I will without a doubt never visit this establishment again. Even for a bowling alley it is one of the worst places I have been to bowl. The food was horrible and the management actually made a child cry by not letting him bowl. There were plenty of lanes he just seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. On the way out, the manager proceeded to fly off the handle at a guest and was using profanity in front of a group of children. Very sad.”

- Very clean and friendly. Convenient with amenities.
- Closes Oct. 15th. Sometimes the fall is a great time to visit Durango.
“We have stayed here many times. Always clean and friendly. In 2007 we ordered pizza which was excellent. It is nice being close to town and there are plenty of showers. Something we have had problems with at other campgrounds. We will definitely be back.”
