Swaffham Golf Club
Aug 25, 2009 by Charles from Farnborough
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Fantastic greens.
  • Poor bunkers.

“In one word - Fabulous! A fantastic challenge for players of all levels. Set in wonderful Norfolk countryside this course stretches over 6500 yards (off the back tees) and tests every aspect of your game. From choosing the correct club off the tee to reading some truly deceptive greens, this course is a joy. From the opening par 5 where you must play down the left to avoid being blocked out by the trees on the right to the long 18th where a par will feel like a birdie, you will love the variety this course has to offer. The course is immaculately maintained and the greens are in terrific condition, even if they can make you look very foolish, all credit to the green-keeping staff. One minor criticism would be that the bunkers are not the best and are inconsistent with the quantity of sand and the cut at the back. I was made to feel very welcome and can't wait to return.”

London Brass Rubbing Centre
Jul 14, 2009 by Traci from Huntsville, Texas
Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Historical aspect and I could do it myself.
  • Space was tight.

“If you are interested in historical brasses, these make excellent frame able artwork for your home. You can also get a little history lesson on the person or object you are rubbing as the centre sells simple books containing pertinent information about each of the brasses available. It is a great detour if you've got an hour while visiting Trafalgar and nearby Covent Garden.”
