Restaurant; mayos gift shop; artists in the park.
Not much goes on.

“I lived in Johannesburg for over 30 years and know zoo lake well. There's little going on there nowadays. It has a couple of restaurants, the most spectacular of which is the recently built mayo restaurant which has to be a favorite with tourists as it is a cuisine heaven of cultural diversity. You can walk around the lake and there is of course a really good zoo in Johannesburg close by which is well worth visiting. Once a month zoo lake presents artists in the park an artist's dream where local artists display their artwork. Occasionally there are music afternoons at weekends which all add to the culture and vibrancy of the country.”

Great movies, great atmosphere and fantastic setting.
Rose bank, The Zone is currently under construction because of the Gautrain, so the mall itself isn't that beautiful anymore.

“It is a fantastic cinema, where one can have dinner after the movies in a wonderful setting. I enjoy going there, the movies are very educational and not this nonsense that you occasionally see at other cinemas. I love it there.”

St. Emmanual Cathedral (The)

The features within the Cathedral.
It's located in a very busy part of the city.

“A very beautiful building, lots of architectural features. One of the oldest buildings in Durban. A must see for anyone visiting the city.”
