Sky Tower
May 21, 2009 by Louise from England
Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Good attraction.
  • Cleanliness of the restaurant.

“If you want another example of how to waste money - go to the Sky Tower. It must have cost an absolute mint and whether they get a return on their investment I wouldn't be too sure. The moving restaurant has spectacular views but the food is very mediocre and the staff can be sloppy and lacking in professionalism - they still want a tip though. When it first opened it was very good but since that time the staff have changed and the food has deteriorated. They also need to keep an eye on cleanliness which could be compromised if they don't pay attention to it. The Cinema is good particularly the Gold Service - well worth the difference in price.”

DFS Galleria, Customhouse
May 21, 2009 by Louise from England
Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5

  • Beautiful building and well fitted out.
  • Not enough variety of high quality merchandise. Also needs a coffee shop.

“Beautiful building in a convenient location. If you want a new handbag - this is the place to go because they sell little else. All the top makes are there and there is a good wine department on the top floor, other than that it really isn't worth the effort which is a shame because Auckland is extremely short on high class quality merchandise stores and they could do a lot more with this building. This speaks for itself as the place is always empty - a sheer waste of business planning and consumer savvy.”

Titahi Bay
Dec 16, 2007 by Peter from Titahi Bay
Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • The closeness of the sea and the generally friendly Nature of the residents.
  • There is too much graffiti and there is a Nasty under element (criminal) within the bay which I think should be stamped out.

“Although I was not born in Titahi Bay I moved here about 15 years ago and now love the place. I have owned two houses in the bay and now live here with my partner. I find the place peaceful and appreciate the near proximity of the seaside. I love the sea.”
