Research User Reviews for Kilauea Lighthouse (1-1 of 1)
Apr 8, 2005 by
TOM G. from Ridgefield, CT
“One of the best place on Kaua'i to see whales, native birds (we saw a nesting pair of Albatross, Wedge-tailed shearwaters, Red-footed Boobies, Nene (Hawaiian Goose), and more that I didn't keep track of. During the winter, you can often see whales spouting within a few hundred yards of the shoreline. When we visited, one of the staff members spent quite a bit of time telling us about the habits of the various birds and whales that we were watching. It can get quite windy, advise a windbreaker or at least long sleeves. Although the base of the historical lighthouse is open, you can't climb the stairs inside.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Attraction Representatives:
