• The room was not cleaned; We left late morning, put the sign out to be cleaned, but by early evening they still had not cleaned the room

“All in all this was a nice hotel. Location wise it is a little far out.”

• Andre's , Diablo's.
• Mold in bath, air cond didn't work well.

“While walking by and glancing in the suites while being cleaned they looked amazing. however, the regular rooms (I stayed in one) were nothing more than average at best. the air conditioning didn't work very well so the air seemed stale the whole stay. there was mold in the shower, and the decor was not very creative. overall I expected a little more of a unique decor for the price we paid- although not expensive by regular standards.”

• We took our kids 13 and 10. Lots of cursing in the hallways. Would recommend family floors in the future. Drunk girls running down hallway at 3 a.m.

“The hotel was great other than the guests around our room. Drunk and loud. We brought our kids and this noise and yelling woke them up at 3 am. We chose Monte Carlo for the pool and the not so trendy and young crowd. But the crowd was rowdy in the hallways. Would recommend family floors for this reason.”

• Great location, small enough to get around easily.
• The music at the pool was too loud. We also had very noisy guests in the room next to us.

• We really enjoyed the
  all in ome
  lifestyle.
• The room itself was a little older without man amenities.

“We truly enjoed the swimming pools, the sports bar and the very diverse gambling areas. Mee Sook and I felt that the Cafe had a very limited menu which was disappointing.”

• Monte Carlo is wonderfully situated on the strip, easy walk to various attractions.
• No coffee pot or refrigerator in the room.

“The Monte Carlo is an older, established hotel. We found it quite acceptable and would stay there again, albeit with our own little coffee pot and a cooler for early morning OJ & yogurt.”

• Within walking distance to a lot of attractions.

“Overall a nice place to stay. I enjoyed that the casino was not as large or disorienting as a lot of the ones we were in. Buffet was good and priced reasonably. Staff was very friendly.”

• I like the casino people, they are friendly.
• The staff in the front desk are not friendly.

“The room is ok but they put us in the third floor facing the driveway to the front of the hotel and you could hear all the cars that come by and go. We hardly got a good night sleep especially after spending time in the casino all you need is hearing all the traffic while sleeping.”

• I liked the location of this hotel - it was right on the strip.
• The smoke and mold.

“I was extremely disappointed and inconvenienced to a point that it ruined my trip. I went with a group and couldn't participate in a few activities because I was constantly busy straightening out issues with my room.”

• The hotel has a nice setup inside--easy access to everything.
• Its a little out of the way to the main strip--plan on riding a bus.

“We arrived and were met with huge amounts of construction both at and around the hotel. There is basically no public parking due to construction so count on using valet. The entrance was closed due to construction and the new 8 billion dollar condo project is next door so lots of dust on my car after 4 days. The first room had not been cleaned, was smoking instead of non, and 2 beds instead of one! So back down to the front desk again and got an acceptable room the 2nd time. The rest of the stay was fine.”

• When we asked for our rooms to be changed because bed was uncomfortable, no questions asked!
• Had to change rooms because bed was so uncomfortable.

“My husband and I have stayed previously at the Monte Carlo and thought we would return. We were disappointed upon arrival that our pillow-top mattress was rock hard. After our first night, we called the front desk and they moved us to a room with two queen beds (which I think were actually full-size). The beds were much more comfortable but really small, so my husband and I ended up in separate beds for most of the stay!”

• The location is about the only thing going for this hotel.
• Pretty much everyting except for the location was bad. The room, price and the casino were not up to par with other Vegas establishments.

“The room was very pricy and very outdated. The rooms had a very cheap feel to them. Pillows were lumpy and the bed was old and hard. The house keeping came into our room at 6 am and I had to yell at them to leave. Supposedly the "do not disturb" sign had fallen on the floor. Casino was nothing special, again feeling very late 80's, early 90's. Hotel needs to be remodeled desperately!”

• The bellman was extremely kind and actually paid our taxi fare for us because they didn't take credit cards.
• The brewery restaurant was terrible. Our room was not nice.

“The Monte Carlo is nice, but has lots of competition for the price. Our room was offered as strip-view, and instead was parking-lot-view, including romantic construction. We had no refrigerator in the room and it just seemed really stripped down, akin to a Best Western, rather than a Las Vegas hotel/casino.”

• Location.
• Rooms need renovations.

“There is construction going on next door which is 24hours around the clock upon checking in the clerk put us directly facing it. After a horrible night sleep, went to the desk to ask about a room change which we were able to do. The new room was not as bad you could still hear the construction but it was not as loud. Overall they need to invest some money in there rooms mattress very uncomfortable and wallpaper peeling off walls faucets dripping just to name a few.

• Great location, clean, great service, close to everything on the strip, decent restaurants, fair prices for most things.
• Internet access was not included and expensive ($16/day) and exercise facilities were not included and expensive ($19/day.

“Hotel itself was 3+ stars and great as far as the lodging and amenities. Disappointed in not having free or reasonable prices internet and exercise facilities. Look to pay $15+ per day for each. Lots of construction in the immediate area of the hotel. Lots of slow moving traffic in the area of the hotel. As close to the strip as you can be, but plan for traffic and driving as it takes a long time to get in and out of the hotel area. Hotel parking was scarce on weekend nights.”

• The friendly staff.
• The retail stores need to be open sooner for shopping.

“Overall, a very positive experience. There is a large construction project on one side of the Monte Carlo and our request to be in a room away from the construction was accommodated. Good central location, friendly staff. We ate in three of the restaurants and all were very good - especially the Brand Steak House. I would stay here again.”

• It was not too expensive and nice located.
• Construction work right below our window and no minibar.

“All in all, the hotel was ok but I would have expected a nicer room for a four stars delux. The room was very simple and there was no minibar or frige that we could put some snacks in.”

• The rooms were spacious and clean.
• The hotel is next to a construction site that was loud and dirty.

“Our room was clean. The location was a little south of where we wanted to be, but we made it work. The construction next door was an eye sore and loud at all hours of the day and night. Construction dust/small debris fell upon us as we walked by. The pool area was nice and a good place to relax. The casino was less smoky than many others that we checked out. The buffet was one of the least expensive that we ate at, yet had a better variety and quality than most others. The hotel staff recommended a wonderful show for us to attend and a tour to Hoover Dam. We would stay here again.”

• Generally open and not stuffy. Air circulation seems a lot better than most.
• Room - Average. Lance Burton, best show value in Vegas.

“Hotel was Average for Vegas Standards. Pool area seemed better before it was improved. Biggest complaint is with the Casino. Less friendly than most and even though it's under MGM, their rules for tracking play (on Players Card) is more steep than all the other Casino's in town. Don't understand. Less likely to return.”

• The best thing about the hotel was the buffet the food was great.
• I did not like the rooms, they were not a four-star quality.

“Overall, the Monte Carlo was a nice hotel and in a good location, but I was not impressed by the room and size. The Best thing about this hotel was the Buffet in the casino, it had great food.”

• Convenient to meetings.
• Bed was uncomfortable.

“Property looks new from the outside. Rooms seem like a remodeled hotel. Bed was really uncomfortable, A/C would not cool down the room and there was not even a bottle of water in the room that you could purchase.”

• Front desk was friendly, room seemed clean.
• Room was very shabby. Stains on bathroom tile, snagged bedspread and
  stained carpet.

“I stayed here about twelve years ago when it was new, great and
very nice. I think though, that it has not been properly updated, as the rooms and some of the public areas were worn, stained and otherwise shabby. Staff was friendly and the rooms seemed pretty clean. I just feel that the hotel comes across as more of a three star spot.”

“Did not worth the money. Old room, dirty windows, tears in linen, not romantic and not very comfortable. May be good for business but not for romantic vacation in Vegas. Construction around the hotel causes a lot of noise in the pool

• Good location for walking on the strip.
• There are Building City Center all around this hotel.

“I would not stay at this hotel again until City Center is open (Nov. 2009). They are currently building City Center on three sides of the Monte Carlo. Construction started daily at 5am, this does not well with the up late night Vegas vacation.”

• Good location.
• Parking ramp closed for construction. Only small lot available.

“Stay was good. Hotel is nice, classy but nothing special. I liked the Casino layout. One big open room and not hard to find games or tables of your choosing. Elevator location very convenient. Lets you out right at the Casino and hotel check-in area. The one big drawback was the fact that the parking ramp is closed as part of the massive City Center construction. There is one public lot right across the street, behind New York. It is not enough. When I asked about it I was told I could use said lot or valet or floors 5-8 of the NY ramp. Not very convenient. Requested a room facing Las Vegas Blvd. So construction was not an issue as far as our room goes. On a side note, the City Center project is the biggest construction site I have ever seen. It is immense. Several 40-50 story towers being built simultaneously.”
