“Birmingham School of Law was established in 1915 and is located in downtown Birmingham a couple blocks form the Courthouse and the Park. It is housed in the historic Frank Nelson building. This is one of the first high-rise buildings built in Birmingham, AL. The school is primarily a night law school but has a very heavy presence in Alabama. Many of the judges are proud to display this school as their alma mater. I was in Birmingham visiting a friend and had some time to burn so I wondered downtown. The city to my surprise is actually quite breathtaking. It is located at the foot of the Application Mountains. Some of the area is industrial but from the city to the East it is sprawling with historic buildings, homes and beautifully manicured estates. I was there in the fall and the leaves were turning. So my opinion of Alabama as a whole has changed a great deal from what I thought of it before I visited. I found Huntsville, Birmingham and Mobile to be unique and bustling economically. Huntsville was full of engineers and science types it seemed. Montgomery was typical of what one may think of when one thinks of Alabama. Mobile especially downtown and the East Bay area were very resort like and seemed to have a great deal of revenue generated from the port activity. I highly recommend visiting Gulf Shores as it is a beautiful beach and priced right.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Attraction Representatives:
