The Republic Golf Club
Mar 31, 2008 by BrandtH from Ventura, CA

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Green grass everywhere and Great staff.
  • Wish we had more time to play it again.

“What a find, this golf course was in amazing shape, the fairways, tees and greens were green and lush. The proshop staff were extremely helpful and made me feel as if I were a local golfer. Can't wait to go back and play again. A Must for all to play only 10 minutes from Downtown.”

  • Few break downs.
  • Bowling ball very dirty.

“When I step in to bowling center, the first thing did I do is to listen the Pinsetters and when I pinsetters are noisy this means you really need to improve your maintenance, caps are dirty and I bet your ball tracks and pins-potters are the same way looks like your maintenance people needs some improvement on maintenance schedule?”

Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Mar 27, 2007 by Allen James from Austin Texas

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • We like this park so much we come here every year.
  • Work on the lines the water park so the families wont get broken up and they need to make healthier food choices.

“I think the park is wonderful! We go there every year! I think it could improve on the lines and it should have more things for families to do together and so they would not have to be split up for the rides, and with the food they should make some healthier stuff! Over all I think the park is awesome but it could improve on those few things.”

River Walk
Jan 10, 2007 by DeeAnn

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Lavallette on new year's eve.
  • Tower of the Americas.

“New years eve is an awesome time on the river walk! Avoid "beers and steers" restaurant located near the city center mall. terrible (inedible) food, slow service, and dirty bathrooms! I talked to many other dissatisfied costumers so do not go there-even if the lines are shorter than other restaurants! I was surprised that adults could walk the river walk with alcoholic beverages in hand. Tip. purchase your beverage of choice at the caves pharmacy stores along the river walk. It will save you lots of money.”

San Fernando Cathedral
Jun 24, 2006 by Ann from Louisville, Colorado

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Rich with history and beautiful to behold.
  • Gift shop closed too early.

“This Cathedral is stunning both in the historical and architectural sense. Upon entering, the church seems to come alive and visitors are flooded with emotions because of its beauty and history. We were very touched to see many people putting flowers on the tomb of the Alamo heroes and paying their respects. The altars are breathtaking. The gift shop closes very early so if you wish to buy anything, even a candle to light within the church, visit early in the day.”

River Walk
Mar 14, 2006 by Brenda from Las Angeles, CA

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Great food, great people and wonderful altogether.
  • Theme parks too far from downtown.

“I had a wonderful time with all the partying on the River walk and the Market Square downtown. This is a great place to come if you and the whole family want to have a good time. We took the kids to Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Sea World during the day while we went out on the town at night. Will definitely go back.”

Kiddie Park
Jul 21, 2005 by Diane from Chico, CA

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

“This park caters to the "three-feet-and-under" crowd. You almost feel like you've stepped back in time to the 1930's, true wholesome clean fun. I grew up in San Antonio and I remember my mom taking me to the Kiddie Park. My favorite rides were these little scooter things you sat on, they always remeinded me of old fashion roller skates, the scooters rolled on a train track and were powered by the rider by turning a crank with thier hands. It was so much fun. I don't know if that ride is still there, but if the curent rides are anything like that ride I can garentee that your child will love this park until they are at least six years old. After that they are more likely to crave the fast pace thrills of Fiesta Texas or Sea World.”

Alamo (The)
Feb 1, 2005 by Aaron W . from Fairfield, CT

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Lots of history and artifacts; Close to the Riverwalk
  • In the middle of downtown

“Very fascinating place to visit. A must for anyone going to San Antonio. Be sure to take the free tour and have all the history explained in an easy to understand manner. Then be sure to go inside and see great historical items like Jim Bowie's knife and Davy Corckett's musket. There's a movie shown too, but I didn't see it. Only about a 10 minute walk from the popular Riverwalk area.”

Market Square
Feb 1, 2005 by Aaron W . from Fairfield, CT

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Nice open space, not far from downtown & riverwalk
  • none I can think of

“The Market square is a 10 -15 minute walk from the Riverwalk area and about a 20 minute walk from the Alamo. It has lots of shops with unique Texas and Mexican style crafts. Some shops are very touristy with your average t-shirts, hats, etc. But others have great things to buy for friends and family back home. The restaurants in the square are almost all Mexican themed, but that's a good thing and there are about 5 to choose from. A nice place to walk around when the weather is nice.”
