“The campground itself was fairly nice. The bathrooms that were at the pool house were extremely nasty. Spiders and bugs crawling everywhere. The cabin that we rented has spacious. But the first night a lizard was in the cabin. The door did not shut very good and left a gap at the bottom. The lizard was not bad but there are worse crawling things that could have gotten in. The neighbor cabin had two dogs that continuously barked all day. The owner left in the morning and did not return until late that evening. We tried relaxing and to take a nap, impossible.”

“My husband and I visited bone hall plantation last year on the anniversary of the day the south left the north. I have to tell you bone hall was the best value for the money. At $14.50 per adult, they were the cheapest plantation in town. You get guided house tour, a guided garden tour, and a guided slave street and history tour! The only thing extra was the tram tour, which we went on, and loved! Erica was our tour guide; she was very informative, and so much fun! Erica truly made history come alive! We are going back this year. We loved it there.”

“My family and I visited Boone Hall plantation, as well as some others in the area. I have to say, Boone Hall was the best value for the money. At $14.50 per adult, they were the cheapest plantation in town, AND, included in that admission is a 20 minute play "Life in the South," the 45 minute "Exploring the Gullah Culture", as well as a guided Garden Tour, and a guided Slave Street and History tour! The only thing extra was the tram tour, which we went on, and loved! The tram was $5 for adults, and children I believe, were $3, I do know that our house guide said that kids under 6 could not ride the tram for safety (no seatbelt). The house was a bit disappointing since it was built in 1936, and you can't see the upstairs because the owners still live there, but the guide made it worth it! Erica was our tour guide, she was very informative, and so much fun! Our kids (12 & 15) didn't think they would enjoy it, but Erica truly made history come alive! We'd go back in a heartbeat!”
