Downtown Disney Village
Oct 26, 2009 by Margaret Eastman from N Redington Beach, FL

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • The charm of the original place is gone.

“I have been going to Downtown Disney Village since it was Buena Vista Village and I still enjoy it a lot. I do think that it has become too commercial and has lost a lot of it charm over the years. I loved the place when it was small, I remember the small shops that were along the parking lot side, they were very unique and now as with all else, it has all been changed to Disney items. I remember my husband and I used to like to be there when it was quite cool and a light rain falling. We would just walk for hours, so beautiful and romantic, now it is all business, very crowded. I still enjoy coming occasionally but it has changed.”

Disney World
Oct 25, 2009 by Vanessa from Indianapolis

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • I loved space ship earth, a grand feature of Epcot.
  • The cost of food was astronomical.

“I had never visited Disney before and had no intentions of doing so. While other parents were making the family jaunt to Orlando, I was taking my daughter to London and Bangkok. So when my daughter, a CP there, insisted that time at Disney would be more than worth my while, I decided to open my mind and my purse. Need I say, I am writing this review because I was taken aback by the magic of Disney. Every park, every ride, every convenience is well-appointed, meticulously and gloriously planned to the nano-detail! All is thoughtful, clean, safe, and engaging. It is a world of ultra-imagined adventures and experiences. If I ever read that book about the 100 things to do before one dies, I would expect to find Disney on that list.”

Sea World
Aug 19, 2009 by STEVE from ST. LOUIS, MO

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • All shows are included in the price, and do not cost extra like Six Flags st. Louis.
  • It is too crowded. Snacks cost a lot.

“I generally liked sea world. Shamu was a wonderful sight. It rained a lot when I was there so a lot of the rides were shut down. If I were to offer a tip for this attraction, bring a back pack, leave purse in hotel or car, just bring in what you need. I have sensitive feet and all the walking really hurt my feet. Also, if you are planning on visiting sea world, in conjunction with other parks in the area, I would recommend to give your self some time to recover from all the walking. We booked everything online, and didn't think of having a day to rest between parks.”

Disney World
Jul 23, 2009 by Michael from Mansfield PA

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Fun, great time for young kids, memories forever.
  • Hollywood studios is not for kids.

“A magical place! I went there with my family (2 adults 3 children.) The first place we went was the Animal Kingdom. What a cool place for little kids to see many animals they will never see. Prices were good, not to packed and great customer service. Our Second Park visit was to the Magic Kingdom. Hands down the best! The only park that every one of my kids could do everything, (almost) great environment, great customer relations, good food prices, did not use express pass - so line wait were usually 15 to 20 minutes. The third day we used the park hop option and visited Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Epcot was the one park that everyone said stay away from but turned out to be one of our better trips. Got to see Nemo and live fish, and also stop at Character spot and had picture with all Disney characters, (inside a plus) Hollywood Studio, however, for us was horrible. 120 minutes wait for everything! Prices were much higher on food and, overall, it was not fun for anyone under 13. All in all anyone with kids under 10 should stick to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and the water parks. Also if price is an issue you can stay off Disney at many of the local resorts, we stayed at Liki Tiki Village, in a two bedroom Condo. It was very nice, allowed us to save a ton of money because we just bought grocery and cooked instead of eating out ever day.”

Cinemark Cinema 20 At Festival
Jun 3, 2009 by Rebecca from Kent, United Kingdon

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Comfortable, atmosphere, lovely staff, value for money.
  • No ice cream.

“We wanted to go to a cinema where you didn't have to pay for parking and where we could do a spot of shopping too. Cimemark is based in the festival shopping mall on International drive and ticked all the boxes. We were absolutely delighted with the cinema. Its got an old fashioned movie house style to it but the seating is exceptionally comfortable. There was plenty of leg room and the seats reclined. We are planning on going again because it was such a pleasant experience. The mall is a sad place though with lots and lots of empty shops.”

  • Nothing.
  • Terrible food, overpriced.

“Let me start out by saying that I enjoyed king Henrys feast, as well as medieval times. The food was terrible. There was condensed soup, a bag of lettuce, icy ice-cream, the worst dry chicken with no sauce, and what seemed to be instant potatoes.”

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • We love this place.
  • Pizza is too crusty, could be a little less expensive but ok.

“Wonderworks is always a part of our trip when we come to Orlando. The kids (10, 7, & 7) have a blast here, and I must admit so do my husband and I. We all enjoy the hands on exhibits and the magic show is fun. The pizza is not the best but it is arcade pizza after all. Good value for the money and will def. be back over and over again.”

WonderWorks

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Pizza is no-frills, but still good.

“There are some game machines in the corner so grownups can eat more or less in peace while the kids romp. Exhibits are interactive and very fun without always getting hit for a ding more $. Smooth elevators between the floors, or take stairs with a lot of MC Escher and other optical illusion art works available for sale in the Emporium, of course. Many computer stations where you can estimate your real age. Emporium thankfully does not stock either generic Florida souvenirs or "WW-Themed" only, and is also competitively priced. Science toys, magic props and kits, Jelly Bellies, Archie McPhee stuff, candy, buttons, stickers, kids stuff, purses and packs. And the ubiquitous umbrellas and rain ponchos. Third floor laser tag was fun. Doesnt hurt like getting splatter with paintballs. Lots of games with prizes, about what you'd expect from any prize counter- nothing really worth it but the kids like it. Highly recommend the combo package of dinner show, laser tag, and wonderworks itself.”

  • Leaving.
  • The show, the food.

“The show was not entertaining and nothing like it was advertised. I think that "Pirate" movie's have made the show something we want to see; however, the show did not live up to the expectations. There was no true race between pirates. It was of poor quality. I would encourage people to see other shows before going to the Pirate's Dinner Adventure.”

Pirate's Dinner Adventure
Oct 26, 2007 by Kim from Tampa

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • Dessert and pre show.
  • Dinner and show.

“The pre show and appetizers were good. We sat in back corner, couldn't see much and didn't know what was going on. The food was cold, and not very good (kids did eat all their mashed potatoes). We were eating in the dark, I couldn't even see the plate, so when the occasional time came for your lights to come on, was the only time you could see what you were doing. The dessert was good, but overall it was a lackluster performance. One good part was when our pirate (the green pirate) and the gypsy did their rope tricks that were interesting.”

  • Laser tag, not kept up.

“The laser tag was pathetic. You go in a room with about 25 people or so in a small area and its a free for all. The arcade was cheap and things broke down and stole tokens all the time. You can spend $10 easy and end up getting .50 worth of candy! The games are not even that fun.”

  • Beautiful, Interesting, So Many Things to Learn and See.
  • None.

“My mom took my brother and I to the exhibit when I was 9 and he was 13. Even at that young age, we loved it. The grand stair case is amazing! There are so many interesting things to learn, which came in handy when I wrote a report on the ship. My parents and I just recently went on another vacation to Orlando and I insisted we go to the Titanic exhibit before Universal Studios. ;) However, although I testify to enjoying the exhibit at a young age, other children may not, as it is just a guided tour. Any adult will, no doubt, enjoy it.”

Plan on spending at least a half day to be able to experience all the presentations and dramas presented. The presenters, actors and actresses were excellent. The gift shop had a lot of unusual items not normally found in a Christian book store.”

Disney World
Jun 30, 2007 by Gary from Boston

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Great atmosphere, amazing rides, great staff.
  • Very expensive, not much for teenagers.

“Disney is an awesome place to vacation to if you've never visited before, and have younger children. The rides and shows are aimed towards a younger audience, say 5-12 years old. Most of the rides are very boring for older kids. There are some rides that older group may enjoy, such as the rollercoaster's, but for the most part they are rather lame. The restaurants, the gift shops, the hotels, and the restrooms were all very clean, and very well maintained (all though very expensive). The staff if also very well mannered and helpful. Overall I would most definitely recommend a Disney world vacation.”

  • Just hated when it was over.

“A great place for the whole family! The food was delicious (all-you-can-eat) and they brought you a drink as fast as you finished one. My kids especially enjoyed the fact that the waiters were part of the show and stayed in character throughout the evening. The show was cute and not too racy for the children. Compared to other dinner theaters in the area, this was downright cheap, especially for what you got! Total fun! We are going again next week!”

Blizzard Beach
Jun 20, 2007 by Howard from Philadelphia, PA

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • The attractiveness of the park. The lazy river. The rides. The family friendly atmosphere.

“We had a nice day at blizzard beach water park at Walt Disney world. We liked the raft rides on the red slope despite the 15 minute line to get a raft/float. It was very busy there. The wait to take the ski lift to the upper slides on the green slope was a half hour in the afternoon. They have three rides on the green slope: two of them are fast rides for solo riders and one is a family raft ride for four people. If you have less than four people in your party, they will pair you up with other folks for the four person raft ride. We liked the lazy river as it was easy to access and had many waterfalls to keep you cool. It goes around the whole park. We liked the wave pool area (it only had small currents). It is called melt away bay. My 9-year-old daughter liked the preteen area (ski patrol training area). It was a great day at the park despite the large crowds.”

  • That it ended.

“If I had just one place to go while in Orlando, it would be here! My wife and 3 teenagers had a blast. Get the 50% coupon, pay for 1 drink to go in early to the lounge so you get seated early and get to eat early. Cost just $2 for a pop in the lounge. If you are the kind of person that likes to laugh and have a good time, than this is the place. If you are the uptight kind or have small kids, you should probably pass. Also has somebody that can drive after the show, they will have you drunk before you leave with all the free beer and drinks. Also look mean when they take your pix for the line up.”

Titanic, Ship of Dreams Exhibit
Mar 15, 2007 by Julia from Tampa

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Felt like being on the actual Titanic.
  • Nothing, this was an absolute great exhibit.

“This is an excellent museum on Titanic! When you first get there you get a ticket with a name of a passenger/crew member their age and class. You go around the exhibit with a tour guide [very friendly] and you get to see what it would be like if you were going one the actual Titanic. At the end there is a big carved wall with all the people on the Titanic classified by Survived and Died and then it smaller groups classified by classes, so you find out if you died or survived. Also there was a big piece of ice that you could touch to experience a part of the coldness of the icy water that many died in the night of April, 15, 1912. At the very end there was a gift shop and your tour guide was there when you can ask additional questions. Next time you come 2 Orlando come to the Titanic, Ship of Dreams Exhibit! You will love it!”

Wet 'n Wild

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • I liked how most of the rides were clumped together so that you didn't have to walk very far.
  • On the lines for Disco H2O and The Surge rafts get stuck and that takes twenty minutes to fix.

“I loved all of the rides especially Disco H2O. All of the rides mostly have a height limit of about 48 inches. This is great because most kids are averagely that height so kids love it. Also, for kids not quite that height yet they have a kiddies park with miniature versions of all the adult rides. For the parents that want to relax the have plenty of chairs in the sun and shade, but also a lazy river. For nay body they have a wave pool. My favorite ride would be Disco H2O, their newest ride. I would recommend Wet'n Wild to everybody. The only bad thing about it is that some lines are long and the ground is hot. Some tips are to remember to wear lots of sunscreen and I personally recommend water shoes since the ground is hot. Lastly, remember to have fun!!!!”

They have a champagne bar and beautiful artwork too. I bought a phenomenal glass necklace by Katherine Berg that was so pretty, I've gotten a million compliments on it. • I really like terminator 3-d, Shriek and Jimmy neutron is cute.
  • I've been so many times that there is not much surprise for me and The Mummy was too scary for me.

“I love universal studios Orlando! My husband and I went to their Mardi Gras celebration on 4-8-06. my husband began to enjoy the parade when he started catching a lot of beads for me! We most enjoy going during the off season when it is less crowded. Especially when I was accidentally burned by a stranger's cigarette as I was walking by him. Other than that our visit was nice. I really enjoy the terminator 3-d movie and Shriek is a lot of fun. Universal is really enjoyable to me as an adult and has a relaxing feel to it. we also like catching a movie at their city walk. It provides a good start or finish to our universal studios experience. This is a theme park I always enjoy visiting. Disney world has nothing to offer me as an adult and all my best memories have been at universal studios.”

Pirate's Dinner Adventure
Mar 20, 2006 by Roger from Lakeland, MN

Overall Rating: 4 User Rating Score: 4

  • The set was interesting.
  • Too contrived, over amplified, hard to follow plot became boring.

We had thoroughly enjoyed Medieval Times the last time we were in Orlando and had hoped for the same level of entertainment from the Pirate's Dinner Adventure. It was obvious that the servers and cast members didn't seem to be enjoying what they were doing. Overall the whole experience, start to finish, was over amplified, poorly lighted, confusing and hardy what one could call entertaining. Even if we hadn't been trying to eat during the performance the story line was near impossible to follow. Periodically we were encouraged to wave our arms and cheer even though we had little idea why other than the lights in our section were turned on.”

  • The entire experience was amazing.
  • I have no negative comments, the tour was excellent.

“Before visiting this excellent exhibit, I had only a passing interest in the Titanic. After the tour, I was very moved by the plight of the doomed ship and its passengers. The guides for Ship of Dreams were friendly and knowledgeable, and the artifacts themselves meticulously preserved. Upon entering, you're given the name of a passenger or crewmate aboard Titanic, and given a little info about the person. At the end of the tour, you look on a large plaque listing the passengers and crew and find out if you survived. Also, a large piece of ice is displayed, and the visitor is encouraged to touch it with their entire body, this is to give the visitor an idea of what the water temperature was like the night of the sinking. In conclusion, I found this to be an excellent attraction, far more poignant and heartrending than I had anticipated. I came out of there frankly teary-eyed and awestruck. I heartily recommend it to anyone, especially families.”

Universal Orlando

  • the rides were good, Spiderman was our family favorite, long moved fairly quickly. Very creative in wait lines.
  • Exprees pass has a fee and costs almost as much as your ticket. Wait time amounts don't match.

“We had a one day pass and didn't quite understand if we could go to both Universal and Islands of Adventure or just one. We liked the rides, the lines moved pretty quickly and had things to occupy you as you waited. I used my AAA card at the Jurasic Park sore at saved 10%, a good deal. I didn't like their "express pass" add on, which is almost as much as the ticket itself, that is the one MAJOR draw back in my book. The only other small glich, which seems like a nice feature, but is inaccurate is, the signs they have posted around the park with the wait times. At one place it may say 10 minutes for Spidermand, anothe 15 minutes and when you get to Spiderman a few minutes later their sign says 45 minutes. It would be better if it were all electron it so they matched.”

“Best money I spent in a long time!

In Orlando - On that high priced attraction street- go here, it's cheap - fun- and well worth the buck.

Take it from me.”

  • Loved all the interactive/educational things available for the kids. (Of all ages.)
  • Too much park to see in a day.

“Great attraction. You may want to give yourself two (2) days to completely enjoy the entire park, without feeling rushed.”
