“Mira Mesa bowling is a great place to bowl. The pin reseters are not very good, but it still works. The food is great there and they usually have your order ready in about 15 minutes. The bowling balls are a little old but still useable, and the employees are really nice. They also have a shop for all your bowling needs.”

“Overpriced. Plus, they nickel and dime (I mean $10 and $20) you to death once your there, paying $20+/day for parking and ridiculous prices for food, drinks, hot chocolate at the skating rink, etc. We went last year during Christmas time. The ice skating was nice, but, as usual at the del, very expensive. The kids wanted to skate again, so we went over to nearby Horton Plaza, had a great time and paid much less. The Christmas carolers strolling around the hotel were nice to listen to for a few minutes, but other than that, it seemed like the del didn't do much to make the higher Christmas time rates worth it for you.”

“After a miserable night with lights going on all by themselves, a TV turning itself on and later a strong perfume odor wafting through the room, I described my distress to the front desk in the morning. They explained that there were legends of the hotel being haunted, and that some visitors had these experiences in certain rooms. I suppose if you wanted to be terrified by such things, this could be a selling point. But as a business traveler at a seminar with work to do the next day, I hardly expected to be put through such distressing experiences. If there are rooms prone to such things, guests should be told in advance! I wouldn't stay at this hotel again ever. My colleagues in other parts of the hotel had no such experiences.”

“Peohe's on the water is wonderful for dinner. People on Coronado are pleasant, accommodating and friendly. While expensive, on the 4th of July the view of fireworks from the now missing Le Meridian was worthwhile. This place is magical and the Hyatt and other hotels across the waterway add to the beauty. ”

“They do not go a far enough distance, not even through all of downtown.”

“Fantastic! When we go to San Diego my 2 year old daughter and I ride the carousel over and over! It's a perfect length, the music isn't too loud, and the employees are very kind and helpful! We love it!”

“Great location, classic hotel, now sold to corporate owner. Musty smell is pervasive, but we were there for a conference, not to sit in our room all day. My wife was paying for parking when my son left after visiting, and she was hit in the head by the gate. There are no warning signs that the gate will come down. The road is painted the same as the crosswalk at the gate, implying that it's safe to walk there, but it is not safe, and if you get "whacked", you are on your own. Instead of medical care, you get to deal with the Director of Loss Prevention, if you can find him. Call your own doctor. Get yourself some help. My wife was walked to the room and given a bag of ice. She asked them to find me. I was in a conference in the hotel. They didn't find me, didn't follow up with her, and I found her wandering the halls looking for me, with blurred vision and a headache. This is not the old Del hotel. Stop by for a walk on the beach. Look out for the gate if you park there. The Director of Loss Prevention says the gate never whacks anyone, but the people who work in the booth say it happens all the time, the valet parkers say the same thing. Honesty prevails among the housekeepers, who helped my wife find ice to put on her swollen forehead and eye socket, the shuttle driver and the valet parking people, but the Director of Loss Prevention seems to have pretty good control over the front desk staff. We'll be taking it up with the new corporate owner. I hope my wife's vision returns to normal. I would like to see some effort to correct a situation that seems to cause several injuries (every couple months, we were told, someone gets whacked by that gate), and to replace the Director of Loss Prevention with a Vice President of Safety. The Director of Loss Prevention told me that he'd feel the same way about what happened if my wife had 'walked into a tree'. Watch out for the trees. This was the most callous disregard I have ever seen in a customer service situation. The irony is that the conference was about business process innovation. These people are innovators!”

“This is the more fascinating bridge I have seen in my life. But what is more astonishing is certainly the fact that I've seen that bridge in a dream five or six years ago. And today, my dream became true. Before using that incredible structure, I have never heard or read about it. - It was a true revelation -. Jean Paradise. Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.”

“For parents with young (2-12 year old) children, this park is the best. All the attractions are designed to appeal to children with a broad range of activities to suit your child. Best of all, many of the rides encourage active interaction, both with the ride and between parents and kids. There's a fire fighting attraction where parents pump to make the water spray while kids get to aim the water cannon. Check out the sly humor hidden in the numerous Lego sculptures, like the kindly lady feeding the pigeons (with a pigeon cook book in her picnic basket). ”

“There is nothing about this hotel that I dislike. All of the staff were so kind that they did whatever they could to make my trip better 24/7. It has a mouth watering Sunday brunch in the historic crown room and it has got to be the best food in the whole island. This historic building was built in 1888 and was said to be a national historic landmark in 1979. But it is still up to date since of the $10 Million re-modeling project.”

“This is an absolutely wonderful family-oriented theme park. Obviously, if your children aren't into Lego's they may not love it as much as mine, but my wife and I both agreed we would still have really enjoyed it had it just been the two of us. Besides the beauty of the area and the incredible "miniland" displays we noticed that the parks visitors were different from, say, Disney. Primarily it was children from 2 to 12 and their parents. The relative absence of a lot of high school/college age young people and maybe the kind of kids that are attracted to Lego's may explain why the atmosphere was more relaxed and family-friendly. Prepare to be clipped pretty hard for food and park purchases, but at least there was some real variety in restaurants and very attentive friendly park employees. We dreamed of going to Lego land for years, and we were not disappointed.”

“Sea World was the hit of our family vacation! The park is extremely clean, and any staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The shows were fun, and you should believe them when they say you are sitting in the "soak zone" at the shows, you WILL get wet! Of course they had all the overpriced novelties, and of course we bought many of them, but you should plan on it when you go. We had an amazing lunch over at the Deli, the roast beef sandwhich is filling and very good. We also did the Dolphin encounter, which was $35.00 and a lot of fun, worth the price, but you have to be there very early (9 am) to get signed up since they allow a limited number of people, and it only happens twice a day. The breakfast with Shamu was also worth the money, the food was excellent, and it was fun to see the whales so close up. Another must see show is the Pet show, the land based animals give their watery counterparts a run for the money! You should plan on spending some money, getting wet, and having an amazing time at Sea World!”

“I recommend Cinderella carriages to anyone who is on holidays in san diego. They do a wonderful sea view tour which takes you right along the harbor, or else you can do the gaslamp tour which takes you through one of the biggest attractions in the city.”
