“Let me begin by saying that the kids had a really fun time. And I guess that's what counts, in the end. As a parent, however, I found it awkward to locate even with a GPS, small, cramped, kind of dirty and very homemade. Feral cats being rehabbed on site could be awkward for allergy sufferers. If you've seen the DVD Chased by Dinosaurs, don't bother with the film because that's what they're showing. But the panning for gold, digging for fossils and cracking a geode were fun. That's what my kids really enjoyed and have told their friends about. As I said, the kids had fun, but if there had been more than my two in there it would've been chaos. The lady who worked there was nice and very knowledgeable.”

“The University of Arizona is now responsible for this site - The engineering of the facility is fascinating - the lung that keeps the air pressure constant is a high point of the tour. I would have loved to hear more about the personal stories of the biosphere participants - there has to be a book waiting to be written about them!”

“Poorly maintained, ghetto track plagued by scandal and animal right violations. Do not go here- icky place in "the rough part of town" Not what you want nice tourists seeing, and as a nice tourist, you don't want any part of this place. It's an embarrassment to the community. The Tucson track is one of the worst in the country- this is where dogs go to die-or disappear in the desert with their ears cut off. You bet, they die.”

“Big casino no customer service. If you're not at a table or slot machine. Plan on standing not big on chairs.”

“Not enough information on Bobaquivari Peak.. I looked under Sacred Mountains and it wasn't there but should have been. It has a long history and sill has Native Americans having to trek to the top (not sure all the details) when they become men. I think now the women do this as well. Not enough pictures either... I'll try to add some.”

“It's a great place for you and your friends to hang out at. Very good place to have your sweet sixteen or any other birthday.”

“I felt like I was visiting skid row on congress where the theater was located. Filthy building and the performance was not suitable to be on any stage. I would not recommend this theater to anyone, not alone bring out of state company to this area.”

“I thought it was fascinating. Our guide had been an employee when the big experiment was started, and he gave us details about the building process, how the biosphere was sealed off, what materials were used. It is a mistake to think of the project as a failure. As batman's butler said, why do we fall? To learn how to get up." Even though the biosphere did not succeed at its goal, a lot was learned about ecosystems. Also about people cooped up together for a long time. As a science fiction reader, I think the knowledge is important if we ever try to set up sealed cities on some planet. The building is beautiful. The various environments are fascinating. The system to control the air pressure without letting in any outside air was ingenious, if a little spooky to tour. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you like science fiction. A friend of mine suggested that if a group of people went together and bought it, as a co-op, it would make a great retirement village!”

“It WAS very famous. Now it is like a abandoned town. Most of the research pull out from Biosphere 2. The ticket is about $20 per person. The tour is about half hour to 45 minutes. The tour guide will give you a idea of what they DID before. The buildings are very amazing and the original idea is good. The only thing is you can't really see how it works.”

“I shopped till I dropped. The stores here are great and the food in the cafe is wonderful. Don't miss the enchiladas. My favorite shop was the Native American store at the southwest entrance. The assortment is one of the best that I have seen and the prices are good too. I have not seen better quality. Lupe, was my sales person and she was so helpful and know legible. I bought some pots and some jewelry from her and will be back on my next visit for more. I love this place.”

“Loved it. We were there at the end of Feb (05) -- lots of birds. Main office staff were very helpful in directing to B&B's in Arivaca.”

“While the resort itself offers excellent rooms, amenties, great golf and breathtaking views, there were two things which were constant problems. The first is the mandatory valet parking and daily fee of $15 plus tax. Not only is this an unecessary expense in terms of the fee and the pressure to tip the porters each and every time you need your car, but they very often have problems locating your car when you need it. Secondly, the prices for even the most trivial of poolside food items were outrageous. Example: $28 for nacho chips, salsa and two frozen cocktails (10 oz at best).”
