Camper World
Sep 17, 2008 by Casey

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • NA.
  • Too many people, usually a cluster mess!

“These guys have a great sales pitch. As per sales pitch, great place for family reunions. Reality, They charge you twice as much for your family non-members as you would pay going to KOA or others, only Monday through Thursday - no weekends.”

  • The breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
  • Almost everything. The place was dirty & only one of the staff members cared a little but made little effort, am staff needs to be fired.

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Location, parking, cleanliness, pool area.
  • Elevators were extremely slow.

“A very clean hotel in downtown Salt Lake City. Located very near Temple Square and across the street from the Salt Palace. This hotel is older, so the amenities were not amazing, but it was comfortable and felt safe. The parking was very convenient. The elevators are old and very slow. The pool area is great and is open 24 hours.”

Shilo Inn Salt Lake City
Aug 17, 2008 by Raelynn from Vernal, UT

Overall Rating: 4 User Rating Score: 4
Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • The location was the best thing about the hotel.
  • The rooms were muggy and hot and the windows did not open for our safety.

“This hotel was very outdated. I couldn't believe it was considered a three star hotel. The rooms smelled dirty. The carpets were dirty. The pink paint was peeling off the doors in the room. It was very hot and muggy in the room. The windows were screwed shut for our safety. Forest green carpet with mauve flowers on everything. Scary.”

  • At check-in, it was a burden for the staff to do, they were arguing about who needed to do it. The room smelled. The towels were discolored.

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[10]

  • Location was great.

Shilo Inn Salt Lake City

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Staff was very helpful and room was clean.
  • The rooms and hotel were a bit outdated. Breakfast was horrible and not worth it. They basically microwave plates of pre-made food.

“Ideal location in terms of being downtown and close to everything. Overall our stay was good. Room was clean and staff was very pleasant and informative. The free breakfast was not worth at all. I'd stay there again but not eat breakfast there.”

Motor Vu Drive-In Theatre
Apr 26, 2008 by Zak from Layton

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Great view of screens, decent sound quality over radio.
  • Popcorn wasn't that delicious. Might've just been the batch though.

“This was my first time going to a drive-in movie theater, and I really enjoyed it. The movie playing was 10,000 BC, and I was able to understand all the characters and my only complaint about the sound was the lack of surround ness. Snack bar was clean enough, happy workers, seats and arcade games in the building. Elevated parking spots raised the car high enough to see the screen comfortably, and it even worked when we backed up and laid down in the back of the car. Parking area was well kept and clean.”

Tracy Aviary
Nov 1, 2007 by Bonnie from Tyler, TX

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • I love birds; it was a place that I could see some of them.
  • Didn't live up to the "hype".

“Not very big, which would have been ok if that is what Id expected? They make it seem like a lot bigger than it actually is.”

Overlake Golf Course
Oct 25, 2007 by Morris from Salt Lake

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Course is always in great shape.
  • Still lacks a permanent club house.

“Overlake is a bit out of the way but worth the drive. A links style course, it is interesting and a good test. There are quite a few holes where you can really swing the driver but other holes force you to be more accurate. There are not a lot of golfers so it is a good course on weekends and plays fast all of the time. The course is always in great shape.”

Pebblebrook Golf Course
Oct 21, 2007 by Jay from Sandy

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Its not too expensive.
  • It costs more than its worth.

“I would be surprised to find a golf course worse than this one. The grass is disgustingly unkempt, there is trash littered everywhere, the tee greens are hard to find and the greens are usually either burned from fertilizer, or completely soaked with water.”

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
Oct 12, 2007 by Cathy from Addison, IL

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • The food at angel village is wonderful; you don't realize that it's vegetarian.
  • Nothing negative, except having to leave that wonderful place.

“This place is literally heaven on earth for these animals. The staff all worked together in the best interest of the animals. When they say "sanctuary" they really mean it. All living things have sanctuary there, from the largest animal to the smallest bug. If you love animals, this is a must; you'll be back for more. And, on top of the exceptional care the animals receive, it's a beautiful place to see with hiking trails. The tour of the sanctuary is wonderful. Can't say enough good things about Best Friends animal sanctuary.”

University Of Utah Golf Course
Aug 18, 2007 by John from Elko Nevada

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6

  • The greens are well kept and run true.
  • Fairways could be dry in places.

“The course is what it is, for seven bucks it is a worthy challenge for anyone. The elevated greens run pretty true and the fairways are fair. There is little else one could ask from a well located, inexpensive executive course. I enjoyed the play, the people and the course very much. The vistas are fantastic and, though very wet in the morning, it is a place I would play again. The relaxed atmosphere alone makes it better than a five rating.”

Utah Theatre
Aug 14, 2007 by Misty from Akron, OH

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Watching classic movies!
  • Balcony seats are a little stiff.

“A fun little theater that shows classic films and a new venue site for the Sundance Film Festival. If you are a film lover then this is a need to see theater. It's a lot of fun being able to see the classics like White Christmas, American Graffiti, Gone with the Wind, The Man who Shot Liberty Valance and so many more, on the big screen. They also provide film festivals where you can watch the entire series, like all the Indiana Jones movies. It's so much fun!”

Temple Square
Aug 27, 2006 by K. from Western States

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Nearly everything about it.
  • Sometimes busy and difficult to find a parking spot that's close.

“Very nice place to visit and relax or explore Mormon religion if you are interested in that. The grounds are nice and well maintained, people are friendly, the buildings are amazing and it feels peaceful. ”

University Of Utah Golf Course
Jun 12, 2006 by Brad from Salt Lake City

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • The view of the valley.
  • The course.

“The course is not well kept. There are five par-four holes and four par-three holes; it's short. The sprinklers came on at 3pm! Tee boxes are hard and torn-up. Several holes ahead of us was a five some(?!) making play slow. The only thing that makes this course worthwhile is the view, you can't beat the view.”

Temple Square
Apr 8, 2006 by Danielle from Pasco, WA

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • I loved everything about the actual site, mainly the feeling you get and the Massive statue of Christ in the visitors center.
  • Mid-day on a weekend there tend to be crowds.

“Breath Taking. An amazing feeling of gladness and comfort will overcome you when you stop to take in and take advantage of the beauty and reverence on Temple Square. Nothing comes close to it. ”

Treehouse Childrens Museum
Mar 19, 2006 by Miekka from Murray, UT

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Fun, hands on, educational and an all around good time.
  • No strollers allowed around the exhibits, if you have a child who can't walk you'll have to carry them.

“The Tree house Museum is one of the best children's museums I have ever been to. The exhibits are fun and educational. Each exhibit is also loaded with books and stories that relate to it so that you and your children can learn as much as you like about the subject. There is something to do for kids of most ages, my 7 year old niece has as much fun as my 2 year old son. My son loves it so much that we bought a year membership even though we live over 40 miles away. The museum is always clean and well kept and they have programs and activities everyday. We love the Tree house!”
