“I love the fact they put a lot of oil on the lanes so you can actually bowl with the new equipment. How is it possible to have all sourpusses working there. They are the most unfriendly group of people.”

“The grounds were nice, but the management was horrible. We were absolutely harassed by them. We were scheduled to check out on Sunday at 10:00 am, and at 10:15 am, the manager drove up in his truck to tell us that we were supposed to check out at 10:00. He was very nasty and disgruntled. It was obvious that we were packing up our car and getting ready to leave. Also, no one else was waiting for the site. It was a Sunday morning. After we checked out, we were allowed to remain on the grounds until 2:00 pm. Mind you, this was not an inexpensive camp ground. As we were saying goodbye at the exit (about 2:30) a woman started yelling at us to put our dog on a leash. However, the dog was, and had always been on the leash (no apology). Then, as we were hugging goodbye, she came over and told us that we had to vacate the grounds immediately. Can you imagine! We did not get to say a proper goodbye to our family who we will not see for quite some time. Don't spend your money at Panther Lake. There were not many campers there, and now we know why. Next summer we will go somewhere else. Happy camping!”

“Our family has been going for years. You have to look at the big picture not the specs of dust (and there are many). We were in last week, and things seem to be turning around. The glass was being cleaned and the displays were getting fixed. The shame is visitors are destroying the scenery and buildings, plus all the pocket change thrown on the tracks. A handyman was cleaning up when we were there and had over five dollars in pennies and other change he just collected in one spot. I think the tide has changed and future visits will yield a better attraction. Don't write them off, you will be surprised when it gets back to normal. Little kids and seniors have the best time. You should too.”

“Bathrooms and showers are horrible. We actually would not even use the showers and hesitated to use the bathrooms. We found nothing enjoyable about staying at this campground. It simply is a place to park your camper and sleep. During the day we had to leave because it was loud and you really could not sit outside and have privacy because your neighbor was right there that's how close you are.”

“The owners as well as the grounds are the warmest and friendliest anywhere. The best Campground anywhere. The owners are always putting money back into the campground to make your camping experience that much more enjoyable. A must stay!”

“What a deception! This is the campground that my parents (who were the very first Canadian customers/campers at hotel back in the late 50's or very early 60's) used to take my sister and for at least two weeks every summer. I have wonderful memories (and also some 8 mm film) of my times spent there as a child and then later as a teenager and young adult. Now that I have children of my own I wanted to share with them the same experience that I had when I used to go there. It was quite sad to see the state of the facilities. I heard that there was a change of management about 4 years ago (today being August 3rd 2008) and it seems to me that the pride of ownership has left with the original owners. The bathrooms and showers were beyond dirty, the plumbing was not working properly or at all and two of the three toilet seats in the ladies room were gone. The showers were equally horrible and unclean. The bathrooms/showers were not cleaned or the garbage can emptied in the bathrooms for the 5 days that we spent there. It was a sad sight to see especially since I remembered what hidden acres used to look like. I felt embarrassed in front of my children and my girlfriend and her son for having brought them there. It is no wonder the campground was almost deserted. If they do not do some major improvements soon I cannot see how this place could survive more than a couple more years.”

“Great house to bowl in great oil pattern and great lanes, even better they have an experienced pro shop that will not only service your bowling ball but also carry great equipment for a good price, as well as being very knowledgeable about the sport.”

“My wife and I are originally from Philadelphia. Her family owned a place on Davis Ave and rented out rooms during the summer months from the 1950's into the early 1980's. She knows Wildwood better than any place we have ever lived in. Recently we visited Wildwood 2008. Many things have changed, but much is still the same. During out visit we spent time at the Historical Society. It was a fantastic visit and brought back many memories. We were even able to get a picture of the old place on Davis Ave. A Family heirloom. Thanks to the all the people in the Museum that day. We will definitely be back. Just one question. What happened to the coast line? When we were kids, the ocean used to come up under the amusement piers now it is difficult to see it from the board walk.”

“Very nice alley, great people, however way overpriced. I used to bowl here often and for my friend. We now go to a bowling alley on Route 22 in Philipsburg where it's a lot cheaper. Monday through Wed, after 9 is $1.00 per game in PBurgh.”

“The care is very good for such a small hospital. I like the fact that everyone takes such good care of you. You are an individual and that's important. The food is great too. I think the people who work there should be commended for their caring. They have TVs in the ER rooms. What hospital ever had that! There is only ONE problem here: the parking! They need a much larger parking area.”

“An outstanding retrospect into some of the history of the Wild West. Children are amazed at the recreations of actual gunfights, calf roping, stage coach rides, and a quaint old time (Gunsmoke type) barroom.”

“I loved it here and I was treated with nothing more than respect. I got to hold real live snakes up to 9 feet long and I may buy one! I became friends with some of the employees there. They are generous and kind. They offer a good price and have many exotic animals.”

“Horrible staff in day treatment and inpatient programs for the kids. They are very unprofessional people. They are not attentive to the kids. In addition a family specialist and bus driver shamus freeman is volatile with the kids and threatening. Not good staff for kids that need help.”

“Old bowling center. Machines are consistently breaking down. Open bowlers there do not respect the place. Hitting the machines with the ball. Staff does not pay attention. People walking down lanes. Snack bar always closed - dirty. League play is a joke. Scores are low. No management. Surprised health department doesn't close them down. Leaks in ceiling.”

“I went to this bowling alley with a group of friends to celebrate my defiance's 30th birthday. I have to say the staff was rude to me and all of my friends. When we thanked them for anything there was never a reply. They confused prices, and times. They actually charged one of the children who wanted to "bowl" (the child was 3yrs old so they would once in a while roll the ball with her dad). They would not accommodate any of my requests on the day of the birthday although they had promised me they would prior to that day. The bartender was nasty to anyone who went to buy drinks. The snack bar staff was rude when I tried to order food, and the actual woman who was working the front desk was the nastiest of all. I have to say I would not recommend this place to anyone. There is a decent place in Wood bridge, another place in Linden, and I was never treated poorly in any of those establishments. I had a good time with my friends regardless of the horrible staff in this bowling alley. I actually felt bad that I invited people here for them to be treated so poorly. Live and Learn I guess. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else!”

“This is the worst place I've ever visited in my entire life. The bartender who claims to be the manager is a rude, obnoxious, non professional animal. He was so rude to me and my family who were visiting for the first and last time the bowling alley. The place itself is disgusting and they don't even clean the shoes right plus the TV. Which tells the scores and the machine that brings down the pins don't function right. The only nice person who was being harassed by the stupid bartender was the young lady at the cash register. I think he should be fired and the whole place should be cleaned up. I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this place for as long as that man is there. He is a short, white middle age grumpy man, with a bold spot. He doesn't deserve to work there he should try working at the zoo with more of his kind.”

“The service at Trenton Mercer Airport is professional, helpful, and highly caring. The staff, everyone, are super nice and so great to go to with questions. I love flying out of this airport and cannot wait for it to expand. Philadelphia is great, but I would rather put my money into my own community! Thank you Mercer Airport!”

“Nothing special, but not bad. Its a chill place to go and hang out. Food to snack on during games with your friend's). Its a bit smelly in there and could be kept a little nicer, but hey it'll do. and come on now play some music! They offer a juke box. Lame! how old are we, but overall, you want to bowl, go bowl that's about all they offer.”

“Perfect place for anyone with fond memories of how Wildwood used to be. Grab a chair and any of the large looseleaf binders of old photos and newspaper clippings and be prepared to have a wonderful trip down memory lane. This tiny museum is packed with good stuff - old photos of the famous night clubs where many Rock 'n Roll greats got their start - Chubby Checker, Bill Haley and the Comets, etc. Historical photos of the many changes in Wildwood's famous boardwalk and amusement piers over the years, memorabilia from grand old hotels that were built in 1910 to 1920's and DooWop motels built in the 1950's that are no more. The history of the Wildwoods goes back more than 100 years. Fascinating little island. Home to one of the first raceways in the country - Henry Ford was there! The museum curator, Mr. Bright, is extremely knowledge; he is from one of early Wildwood families. He was born and raised in Wildwood and can remember when the trolleys and trains were the primary means of transportation. This little museum is a gem. Leave a generous donation - they are operating on a shoe string and are only open for a limited number of hours - mostly mornings. ”

“Very dirty business. From the time we entered the place, we felt like we were going to catch some kind of disease. The "owner" (doubtful) Sam was like a sideshow drop out. He started by hawking his "aquarium" from the boardwalk and then accompanied us inside. He kept hitting on me and my girlfriends. I guess he found himself attractive. We all found him very seedy. As we walked around the pitiful business, Sam then tried to sell us snakes, alligators or whatever else he had. This place is the pits. We were there in 2002.”

“I think its a nice and fun place for very young children. I took my 3 yr. old son and 4 year old niece and they enjoyed it. We spent about 3 hours there and they did not get to play with everything. We would have stayed longer if they had food. The equipment is not new but for kids under 5 they will definitely have fun. My son especially loved the train tracks with magnetic trains, the large stuffed horses at the "ranch" and the electronic helicopter and horse rides. My nice enjoyed the giant doll house and did not want to leave that area. They both enjoyed the sandbox and spent the most time there. ”

“Wow, this is the Atlantic City that no one knows about [except the locals]! There are 2 restaurants with outdoor decks, the aquarium is quaint and inexpensive, includes a widow's walk. There are lots of clamber boats docked here [or heading in/out]. It is a good place to take in the sunset over the 3 marina casinos. There are 6 artist 'cabins' here where locals sell their own wares. PLUS, lots of free parking!”

“Course is in good shape and plays well. The staff is horrible and the wait can be bad. They tend to over crowd the course in the afternoons. If your playing 18 get there early. They will make you wait in line for each 9 you play. I had to wait an hour to play our second 9 which we were not allowed the cart we paid for. ”

“I visited this place 35 years ago and liked today as I did back then. A bit tacky , a bit run down although it still offered a lot of fun for a small price. Playful gun slinger doing skits in a old make believe town at the turn of the century . ”

“Fantastic place for kids and family. We were there summer 2005 when it was 90+ every day. We kayaked, fished, played tennis, played mini-golf, played basketball, baseball, waffle ball and, most of all, swam. The pool is clean with lifeguards and a diving board. A cool lawn welcomes you to hang by the pool. The Kymer family is wonderfully friendly and hospitable. We had such a wonderful time that we booked another vacation in 2006, and we're bringing another family with us.”

“The museum has many neat exhibits on the Railroad that once went through the station, local history and the region are also well represented in various displays throughout the museum. Friendly tour guides and a great gift shop! You can walk their trail and have a picnic lunch and all free of charge. There open year round we, Fri., sat, sun, 10am to 4pm. ”

“UGH. This Children's Museum is very child/baby un-friendly. There are signs everywhere - don't do this, don't do that. You can't even feed your child OUTSIDE. There is a sign on the door that says "No eating/drinking outside" and another one in the parking lot reminding you "No picnicking". The displays look like they are old toys that someone dug out of their attic and dusted off. The admission price is a rip-off, I would NOT recommend this "museum" to anyone.”

“The campus was surprisingly well kept for an urban state university. The school is in the midst of many capital improvements, including numerous new and renovated buildings. Eventually, a new west campus is to be added about two blocks away with more new buildings, dorms, and retail space. The staff and class schedules are very accommodating for the commuter student. Overall, a good option for the money.”

“What a rip off. After driving an hour and a half with my 3 year old son to see all the trains, all we saw were dirty, broken down displays, with very few trains running. We were not the only ones complaining. The funniest thing was a sign near a broken part of the exhibit that said that an 18-month-old climbed into the display and broke a bridge 7 or 8 years ago, so they left it to look like a train wreck. Well, they did get one thing right, Northland is a train wreck!”

“The Newark Museum is a calm space, with classic simple architecture, a small but well designed sculpture garden, and a planetarium. A great collection of paintings from folk to modern. A thought provoking Willie Cole scorched iron piece. They have great children's programs and adult art classes. Music in the garden and cocktails & live music in the museum on certain days. On a sweltering summer day the planetarium shows refresh your mind and body. A relaxing space in a city struggling to reclaim it's former glory- oh so slowly.
