Harvard Museum of Natural History
Aug 8, 2008 by Pat from Apple Valley, MN

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Great kid museum. It will have your kids running from room to room with excitement!
  • Nothing!

“This Museum is a must see if you are visiting Boston! It is filled with Dinosaurs, Geodes, Meteorites and thousands of animals from all around the world. It also houses the world famous Blaschka glass flowers. These flowers were made by a father-son duo from Dresden in the mid 1800's and are incredibly real. I could not believe these beautiful flowers and plants were made from glass!”

Loews Cineplex
Jun 2, 2008 by Martha Lacoste from Bronx,New York

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • I loved everything.
  • They kids there were very rude and obnoxious.

“It was better than any theatre in New York, I saw Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. It was simply magnificent and it was worth all the money because it was high tech and fun!”

Odyssey Cruises
Jan 1, 2008 by Laura

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • The food was good.
  • Music was horrible. Shuttle was disorganized. No real celebration.

“A group of eight of us was aboard the Odyssey for this past New Year's Eve celebration. Although the food was absolutely delicious, the music and entertainment was horrible. When the band would take a break, there wasn't any music to fill in. There could've at least been a DJ so that the dancing could continue. Actually, it'd probably be better if the band never played as it was rare that they would keep the beat. When midnight rolled around, there was not a countdown, nothing to signify the changing of the year. The wait staff was OK, although it was apparent that they did not want to be there. The shuttle to and from the hotel was a joke. The shuttle was parked outside waiting for us, and we did not even know that the guy was there. For the amount of money that we all shelled out for this evening, it should've been more than just a good meal on a boat.”

Berklee College Of Music Inc
Sep 8, 2007 by Saundra from Albany, NY

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Intensive study of music.
  • Intensive study of music.

“This might be an interesting view. I am the mother of a Berklee student who has just started his second year. I can honestly say my son never expected Berklee to be so challenging. He got through the first year by the skin on his teeth. The demands of this school are much greater than he expected. Nevertheless he wanted to return and will work harder than ever to do better. This school is extremely intense. He is determined to graduate and is more focused than ever. I believe it is very hard for 18 years old to move away from home, live in a dorm room with two other people and have such a demanding schedule. It was quite a lot for him that first year. Yet, as I wrote previously, he has returned with more gusto than ever and wants to earn a degree from this truly amazing school. (Oh, yeah, Moms and Dads this is very expensive so make sure your child wants this more than anything else in the whole world!). Good luck to all!”

Six Flags New England
Aug 4, 2007 by S from Connecticut

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • There was nothing.
  • Dangerously overcrowded, no protection from the heat.

“Stop. All the parents out there and individuals, who are even thinking about going to this park, stop right now. I just spent a hot, blistering day at this park today with little to no shade, incredibly unsafe overcrowded swimming areas and wall-to-wall people. The overcrowding was not only inconvenient, but also dangerous. The conditions inside the park are dirty and often unsafe. Lines are much too long even for the average amusement park. This was a stressful and uncomfortable day and I am so sorry I went. Trust me it is awful.”

Playaway Lanes Corp
Apr 19, 2007 by Richard from Winchendon

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Everything.
  • I. at bowling.

“Play away lanes was purchased by Tokyo game action last June. Since then, they have transformed the old run down bowling alley, into a state of the art, modern bowling center. There is a full service restaurant which serves Japanese and American food. The game center, Tokyo game action, has arcade games imported from Japan. The arcade is huge! The food is amazing! I also heard the owner is installing Brunswick pro lanes this summer. If you like games or bowling go to play away lanes.”

North Hill Golf Course
Mar 22, 2007 by Matthew Tenney from Gorham, ME

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6

  • Some interesting shot options.
  • Pace of play.

“Policy of no 18 whole tee times on the weekend is ridiculous. Course tends to play slow as it serves as daycare for most of the town children in the summer. Conditions are good but not great.”

Widow's Walk Golf Course
Mar 22, 2007 by Janet W from Kennewick, WA

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Ecological design, beautiful views of surrounding countryside and ocean, charming town with great restaurants.
  • Unforgiving - any mistake will cost you dearly.

“Tough, unforgiving course - not a confidence builder for new golfers! But a beautiful, ecologically designed course with dramatic views off a number of tee boxes. Challenging but fun.”

Fun Time Lanes Inc
Feb 24, 2007 by Mark from Feen

Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5

  • 15 dollars an hour to bowl.
  • Very bad section of Holyoke-near drug & gun alley.

“Not handicapped accessible-second floor. In a bad section of Holyoke. They have a security camera that doesn't view the parking lot well. We booked a birthday party and the price changed the day before the party. I was told we were not quoted what we were. Also had a party there last year and things went okay. They were not overly friendly. You also have to pay cash for everything-they don't take credit cards. Prices are very reasonable until they change them at the last minute.”

Amc Chestnut Hill Cinema 5
Feb 16, 2007 by Girly from Newton

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Quality of picture and the service is great.
  • The food is expensive and there is no way to get back to the movie theater from the back.

“Its all good except for two things, in some cinemas there is no back entrance so its hard to get out of a movie when you might get scared and your sitting in the back and two, the food is very expensive so if I were you just go next door before and get some cheap candy and drinks. I mean but what can you expect all movie theaters are like that!-girly.”

Paul Revere House
Sep 8, 2006 by Yvonne from Grafton, MA

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • The kitchen was very interesting.
  • The gift shop was inadequate, just a showcase of point and buy.

“A Boston must-see!!! I took my elementary age children there and we had a nice self-guided tour. We were very surprised to learn that it is air-conditioned throughout and that the rooms are so large!! We especially enjoyed the exhibits in the glass wall casings, showing many colonial artifacts. The staff was knowledgeable and accessible. Walking to the house is highly recommended, as parking nearby would be impossible. We walked through the North End brick streets from Fanuil Hall, smelling the aroma of all the Italian neighborhood restaurants. It was a wonderful cultural and historic day!!”

Holy Family Hospital & Med Ctr
Sep 3, 2006 by France from Nashua

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • The nurses were nice.
  • Room was DIRTY.

“I was admitted on 07/29/06 - 07/30/06 for Radio Active Iodine in Room 161. I have never seen a room so dirty, the floors were black that every time you moved the chair you could see the marks. And the shower in that room had a ring of soap scrum. I had the nurse come in and look at it and she tried to tell me that it was wax build up. Let me tell you I work in the medical field and had a lot of surgeries and this hospital was one of the dirties hospital that I have seen. They should really start improving in the housekeeping department because that was not wax build up. I know because I have cleaning business.”

Boston Harbor Cruises
May 25, 2006 by Jessica from Dunellen, NJ

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • I loved being able to say that I have stood in the footsteps of famous actors/actresses.
  • There was nothing negative about this tour. It is wonderful.

“Boston Movie Tours was truly a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful break from seeing all the historic sights of Boston and instead being immersed in the Pop culture of Boston. It was an interactive learning experience. I had no idea how many fabulous movies and TV shows used Boston as their backdrop, like Ally McNeal, A Civil Action, Good Will Hunting and even a season of MTV's Real World! The tour guides were knowledgeable and energetic and the walk was gorgeous. The tour was not only able to showcase the movies that were filmed in Boston but also showcased the beautiful scenery of Beacon Hill (where the tour takes place). On the tour you not only learned about the movies that were already filmed in Boston, but also the inside scoop on movies that have not come out yet and where the celebrity hot spots are. Everyone that comes to Boston should experience the "Boston Movie Mile". It is so much fun and a completely different tour then anything else offered in Boston! It is absolutely exceptional!”

Olde Scotland Links
Feb 10, 2006 by Lisa from Scituate

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Great condition and friendly staff.
  • No clubhouse.

“Olde Scotland Links is a great place to play. The course is immaculate. The greens are big and fast and if you are not hitting your driver straight the rough can eat you alive. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I went by myself and got paired up with a great group. It is a must to play for your life list.”

Carousel Station
Nov 2, 2005 by anne from hull

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • The music was not too loud and the attendants were careful watching the children.
  • None.

“Having grown up in Hull and was brought as a child to the Carousel, it just seemed wonderful that I could bring my Great nephew this summer there. It really brought back some old memories and maybe we made some new ones as well. I hope he remembers riding on the "Flying Horses". The ride was well run and the area was safe and neat. We had a super time and will return.”

Newbury Street
Oct 18, 2005 by JOE_A (See all reviews by JOE_A)
Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

“A real flavor of Boston is checking out the shops on Newbury Street. Plenty of small unique stores. Many places are just for wealthy (and window shopping/people watching for the rest of us), but many main stream shops are sprinkled in (Gap, Banana Republic, etc). Boylston Street is just a block away for Bars and plenty of food (and more shopping at the Prudential Center).”

  • Boston history in a great location
  • A bit of a tourist trap

“Take The Government Center T stop for some great little shops, vendors, and people watching. Surrounded with old Boston Pubs, newer clubs and restaurnants. Located right near the North End - stroll over for some fantastic Italian food or desert.”

Fraiman Enterprises Inc
Oct 18, 2005 by Manson from Boston

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Everything.
  • N/A.

“An old fashion theater with wide isles and great service. Food and decor. I travel in a wheelchair and by taxi. I was taken home by an Arlex Yellow Cab which has a stand directly across the street from the theater. The drivers were obviously trained and well spoken, English even. Thank you to the theater for such a great experience. I will be back with friends.”

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Oct 18, 2005 by Jennifer from Texas

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • The gardens and tour.
  • Nothing.

“Of all the museums I've seen in Boston and the world, I think this one is my overall favorite. The whole idea behind the museum is great and the free tour is a must to really understand who Isabella Gardener was and what exactly she was trying to do with this museum. The gardens are beautiful and the organization of the art is enough to keep even the most reluctant museum visitor intrigued. Worth the money, even if time is limited.”

Harvard University

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Stroll around the Square and Harvard Yard
  • Can get crowded

“A stroll around Harvard Square in the summer is an experience for those who like people watching - street venders and performers mix with students and eclectic locals. Plenty of Great little shops and restaurants - though the area is much more commercial now (with more chains moving in). ”

Museum of Fine Arts
Aug 3, 2005 by Amanda

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6

  • get a sense of history of Boston from some of the stuff, interesting contemporary art selection
  • Closed second floor and I missed what I went to see.

“The museum closes the 2nd floor after 5 every day though they continue to charge full price. The problem is that the second floor is where the second largest collection of Monet's in the world are (as well as most of the other important works they hold) and the reason I went. I was thoroughly disappointed. ”

Fenway Park
Apr 21, 2005 by Joe A . from Sleepy Hollow

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • A wonderful experince for any sports fan
  • The seats are small and painful if you are over 6 feet

“Take the T and stop by the Cask and Flagon or Boston Beer Works for a few before joining the Fenway faithful on a summer night. The ballpark is the smallest in the majors, but beware that there are bad seats (just look at the guy sitting behind the pole in the right field grandstands - I prefer the bleachers if you can't get Box seats or Monster seats). You are sure to have a good time.”

Fenway Park
Mar 3, 2005 by Shannon R . from Litchfield

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • The tour of the park before the game was absolutely wonderful and very informative. I learned more in those 2 hours than I ever knew....
  • none

“For anyone going to Boston or to a game, the tour is a must. Not only was it filled with little facts no one knows but it was kid friendly. ( which we didn't have any with us) but there was enough to keep the group of kids occupied. The head of the tour was not only funny and a cut up but he presented his information with easy to learn terms and skill. For 10 bucks, it's the only tour worth it. Everyone should go at least once. We are actually going back tomorrow before the Celtics game!!”
