Parkland Bowling Center
Apr 23, 2009 by Jones

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6

  • I like the fact that it's close, so that everyone can find it and get to it.
  • I just wish that they get some more new bowling balls and better bowling shoes.

“I live around the area of the bowling center, its OK for the most part, you can have fun there if you know what times and days that you go. I have had fun lots of times. I haven't really gotten in to anything with the staff, but it a very easy place to get friends together and chill.”

Harford Memorial Hospital Inc
Dec 30, 2008 by Whitney from Perryville

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nothing.
  • The whole experience.

“Horrible experience. I went for bad stomach pain and extreme lower back pain. I thought something was very wrong, the pain was so extreme. The staff, first of all, was not welcoming and was rude. It took me an hour in the waiting room with no one in front of me, 1 hour and 1/2 to even be seen by a doctor! The doctor didn't even examine me at all, but then told them I was perfectly healthy. Well obviously I was not! He tried to send me home without even so much as an x-ray or CT scan. It took almost 2 hours to even receive any type of pain medications. Finally at discharge I had to wait for my nurse to stop chit chatting with the co-workers (another hour later) so she could remove my IV and I could leave. For extreme pain they gave me Mortin! So to me they must have thought I was lying about the whole situation. The rooms were dirty, the staff was not friendly and the doctor was an idiot and rube! After a second opinion, I had a severe UTI and a severe kidney infection!”

Thunderhead Bowling Center
Sep 1, 2008 by Joe from Littestow, PA

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nothing.
  • Rude employee's.

“This center has a rude counter person. The new ownership doesn't know how to run a bowling center. If they don't change soon, they will be out of business. A better bowling center is in Hanover, PA. The name is Hanover Bowling Centre. It is well worth the drive to a family friendly center.”

Fort McHenry National Monument
Aug 29, 2008 by Graham from Baltimore

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • A sense of pride in our American past.
  • None.

“The person/teacher from NJ should stay in NJ. Places like Ft. McHenry should be looked as to what they are, places were brave men fought for the rights of all Americans, it's not Disneyland. No not everything is a touch and feels good experience. There is some reverence to the place. If she had wanted someplace for the kids to interact then she should have taken them to someplace like the Md. Science Center. Battlefields and Forts should be viewed as what they are, place where men fought and died for our country.”

Cunningham Falls State Park
Aug 8, 2008 by Monique from Springfield, VA

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Everything, nice rangers too, great event program as well.
  • No place to wash your dishes.

“We stayed (July 08) at the Houck area. Great camping sites and not too close to your neighbor. Clean toilets and showers. Lake was great for our 5 year old daughter, hike to the Falls she walked without complain. Temperatures great, nice cool breeze through the forest, no bugs! Bring your own firewood, because what they sell can be humid.”

Cranberry Mall Cinema 9
Aug 1, 2008 by mike

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • Close to home.
  • Poor seating, small screens, can get bigger screens and better seating within 30 minutes driving for less money.

“Cinema needs remodeling. Better stadium seating and larger screens are in order, if they want to increase business. I for one will gladly drive to Hanover, Gettysburg and even Hunt Valley to see a blockbuster than to view it at Cranberry. Most of the time I can get better ticket cost at the ones I mentioned for the quality I enjoy when I want to see a great movie.”

Harford Lanes Inc
Jul 10, 2008 by Brad

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Classic lanes, great staff, textbook alley atmosphere.
  • Run down in areas, lack of modern technique outside basic digital scoring.

“At first glance, Aberdeen's Harford Lanes seems faceless and run down. From the arching roof adorned with a worn bowling across it to its drab exterior, it appears as a bland forgotten building behind the New ideal diner, a local landmark. Step inside, however and you will find a classic alley, slightly modernized with digital scoring. The main staff was nice. Don't expect any frills here like video arcades or a big snack bar, the former is a thing of the past and the latter is a tiny corner near the front entrance. Order up a plate of crinkle cut fries and a Dew and roll a few frames.”

Thunderhead Bowling Center
Apr 6, 2008 by Lisa from Westminster

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nicely redone.
  • Not a family environment.

“This once family friendly environment has gone the way of the dinosaurs. We had once attended there weekly for a league so I was excited to return for a child's birthday party. There was a tournament there so we couldn't take any flash photography, which in a bowling alley you might as well say you can't take pictures. Both children's birthday parties that were scheduled for that day were told of the no flash photography the day of the party. The situation could be described as Nazi police for any infraction of the slightest flash even when some where trying to adjust their cameras. However, it was ok for the tournament patrons to be drunk, use foul language and have playing cards with women on them as parents were escorting their children to the bathrooms. In short if you are an adult and are seeking adult entertainment this is the place to be, but if you are looking for a family friendly environment go elsewhere.”

Fort McHenry National Monument
May 21, 2007 by Catherine from Glen Rock, nj

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • Amazing view and landscape.
  • From my observations little kids are not welcome!

“Horrible, I recently went on a class trip to the fort, where I quickly found out it was an unnecessary stop. As soon as we got in there one child in my grade sat down on the grass, not knowing this was like coming treason in broad daylight. As soon as we walked in to the tight brick archway, we were thrown right back out. If you do go to the fort be sure not to eat, breath, or touch anything while there. Although in my opinion getting kicked out was an amazing gift from god, the view from the top was quite beautiful. ”

Baltimore Inner Harbor
May 21, 2007 by cathy from ridgewood, nj

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6

  • Unhelpful staff and slightly boring exhibits.

“The layout of the place was interesting and interactive, but the exhibits were not all they were made up to me. I would not recommend it on a busy day because of overcrowding. The dolphin show was not only exiting, but surprisingly educational. My only criticism of the show would be its short length. The one major draw back for me was that one of the cashiers in the store Stoll my digital camera. I would hesitantly recommend it just keep all belongings in your sight at all times!”

Frederick Golf Club
Aug 14, 2006 by Nick from Clarksburg

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nothing positive to say.
  • Owners wife and side kick were rednecks.

“Very rough course, even for $12. More importantly, staff was very rude. Used profanities around my 9 year old. Owners wife was extremely hard to deal with. Would not recommend at all. Where is a young person to start playing golf if you can't take him to a $12 course. Son has had lessons and made him pick up on every hit, let several people play through. There was no call for the owners wife to be so ridiculous. Was only concerned with making sure I new she owned the place and used MF every other word. ”

Cross Creek Golf Club
Jun 27, 2006 by crb from beltsville

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Quality, well kept fairways and greens.
  • Rough and bunkers could be improved.

“Quality course that requires maximum focus on club selection and shot selection. Driver is needed on only three holes though it may be used on others. Lots of "trouble" that is easy to find. Resist the temptation to be "long" off the tee. Though only 6300 plus yards long from the "tips", the narrow fairways and requirements to avoid "trouble" make up for the lack of distance. If you like "taking a divot", this is a course for you.”

Mount Pleasant Golf Course

  • Great golf courses pine ridge and mount pleasant.
  • Food concessions are junk food and over priced and served with attitude.

“Food concessions are the worst set up in the states , I was actually told to pour a bottle of water out if I didn't buy from the city course, no thanks these courses are not for me, I never been treated this way!”

Greenmount Bowl, Inc.
Feb 27, 2006 by John from Hampstead

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Everything.
  • Nothing

“My experience at Green mount Bowl was amazing. Most bowling alleys you go into are dirty, the people are rude, and you get the feeling that your not wanted. However at Green mount, the people were friendly, the place was so clean you could have eaten food off the floor (by the way the food at the snack bar is awesome, especially for a bowling alley), and it didn't even smell like old bowling shoes and cigarettes (as most do). I cannot praise this establishment enough.”
