Explorium Of Lexington
Jul 31, 2008 by Deanna from Milwaukee, Wisc.

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Building better bodies had fun nutrition games.
  • Not open on Mondays.

“The keeping current exhibit was the most fun. Little ones enjoyed playing in the water and the older kids found it interesting to work the hydro-electric dam and the locks system. The exhibit about moths vs. butterflies was also cool.”

National Corvette Museum
Jul 20, 2008 by Deb from Muskegon, Michigan

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • This is a very clean and updated museum.
  • That I couldn't spend any more time there!

“For the corvette lover this museum is awesome! You can see every corvette ever produced, you walk through the museum and are just in awe at all the displays. The information from the birth of the corvette to technology of todays corvette is everywhere in the museum. Take the factory tour and witness corvettes being assembled right before your eyes! This is a great place to visit! I have enjoyed a visit to museum for the past 2 years and plan on making another visit next year! This is a must do event for any corvette enthusiast.”

Crescent Bowl
Jul 11, 2008 by Katie from Franklin

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Great atmosphere.
  • Equipments were out of date.

“I love Crescent! We have been bowling there for years. It's got a great atmosphere. It's got a very dimly lit, smoky bar feel to it. The one across town is overly family friendly!”

Guntown Mountain
Jun 28, 2008 by Nancy from Ohio

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • View of the area from the mountain top.
  • Everything.

“This place was very old and run down. At best, the shows were minimally entertaining and many included adult content such as drinking alcohol and inappropriate jokes. There were tip jars everywhere (even in the gift shop and the petting zoo)! The petting zoo was just sad - it included a pony that you couldn't pet because he bites!”

Old Silo Golf Club
Apr 21, 2008 by Rick from St. Louis, MO

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Tough, but fun layout. Very well maintained.
  • The sand traps were maintained and fair, but there were too many.

“Excellent golf course. Graham Marsh took average rolling land and made a fun, but very challenging course. The green fees are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful..”

Kentucky Action Park
Apr 8, 2008 by Jeff from Allendale

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Fantastic value! Very clean! Staff was just super! Family run and it shows.
  • No outlet in the loft.

“My family and I stayed in the cabins at the Kentucky Action Park for three nights. They were fantastic! As soon as we got there, my fears went away. The cabins are very clean and have all the amenities of home. There was even a nice porch area that overlooked a picnic table, fire pit, and charcoal grill. Sadly, due to the weather, we were unable to use those. The cabins even offer a small amount of privacy by having a loft area where you can put the kids. If you're uncomfortable with putting your kids up there, there is also a set of bunk beds and a futon for them to sleep on. As for the Action Park, we loved it! The staff was just great. We did the trampoline, chair lift, bumper cars, go karts, rock wall, and horseback riding (David was an awesome guide!) They even have their own cave you can go through. All in all, we had a great time and can't wait to go back.”

Alice Lloyd College
Apr 2, 2008 by marj from Smiths Grove, KY

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Both staff and students very friendly and lighthearted.
  • I had to leave at the end of the week.

“I visited the campus and spent 5 nights in a guest house. I was attending a writer's conference in Hind man, a few miles away, but the first morning, I awoke to such peace and a feeing of belonging that I did not want to leave the campus and go to my classes. The creek splits the campus in half. Breathtaking mountains protect and surround. Buildings were constructed to blend as a part of the mountains, stone and wood. I wish I had discovered Alice Lloyd College many years ago; I would have been a student without a doubt.”

Bowlarama Lanes
Feb 18, 2008 by Molly from Louisville

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nothing.
  • Open bigotry.

“My friends and I were treated with disdain and open hostility by the employees and a police officer stationed at the bowling alley. We were openly harassed by the officer and desk workers, and are actively pursuing a resolution to the way we were treated, and will never frequent the establishment again. I urge anyone even remotely considering going to the Bowlarama to go somewhere else with your business, as you will inevitably be mistreated there.”

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nothing.
  • Open bigotry.

“The behavior on part of the staff and a police officer stationed at the bowling alley has caused my friends and I to decide never to frequent the Bowlarama again. We were treated with open hostility and harassment from the officer and desk workers, and are pursuing action against the bowling alley. I advise you to never visit this establishment, as it will not be worth your time and does not deserve your patronage.”

Crescent Bowl
Jan 20, 2008 by Toni from glasgow

Overall Rating: 4 User Rating Score: 4

  • Staff is friendly.
  • Inadequate equipment.

“If you like old-school bowling alleys this is for you. The staff is somewhat friendly but the automatic score keepers couldn't keep score worth a darn. We were constantly correcting the scores and hitting the reset button. The place has a poor air circulation. We smoke but this place was like an old smoke house. The video games for the children were very scares and there's only 1 bathroom in the entire place. We will not be back there again. No wonder everyone goes to the other place across town. They really need to update their equipment.”

Locust Grove
Jan 18, 2008 by Jennifer from Elizabethtown

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Loved the tour and the way the information was presented.
  • Nothing really I could think to say that I disliked.

“I really enjoyed my visit there. In all honesty, I liked the feel and the tour that I received during my time at Locust Grove much more than I did when I visited My Old Kentucky Home. I found locust Grove to be much more informative. Its also a great place to take the kids to get a real hand on learning experience.”

  • The food, and I love to bowl.
  • The DJ (the guy is awful).

Bourbon Drive In Theatre
Oct 5, 2007 by Brian from Georgetown

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Good angles on rows for viewing the movies.
  • None.

“I have been going to Drive Inn's since I was a child and now am able to take my own. Bourbon Drive In is a throwback to what I have the fondest memories of growing. They still have the option of using speakers that sit on the door glass. The sound is not that great but it adds to the experience. I would highly recommend this Drive In to my friends, and have. Well worth the money for admission and concession.”

  • Greens were great; rolled true. Really nice.
  • Turf is in bad condition, fairways were grass/weeds/whatever again it's a step up from a mowed field.

“Goat track. Greens were in great shape but the rest of the course is a step up from a mowed field.”

Guntown Mountain
Jun 11, 2007 by Ray from Benton KY

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • Nice people.
  • Old needs updated.

“People were nice but the park is old and needs updated. The equipment is dated from the 70s.The photo shop that makes the old photos had very limited costumes and the ones they had were soiled. The actors wore modern clothes in the gunfights. It is different but not what I expected for about 50.00.The main yard of the town was graveled. The ski lift is not bad but that's about it. Nice people though.”

Bourbon Drive In Theatre
Mar 30, 2007 by Kim from Paris

Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5

  • Don't have anything positive to say about this place anymore.
  • Very high priced, very long lines.

“I understand that it is hard to find a drive-in anymore, but with the prices they charge at this drive-in I would much rather just go to a theater. Their concession stand is awful, on a trip last year to take the kids to see ice age 2 the meltdown I spent most of the entire movie standing in line waiting to be waited on, the ladies restroom did not work so everyone had to use the men's which was an even longer line. Needless to say we didn't even stay for the 2nd movie. Have you guys ever considered maybe one night being a family night with reduced prices for families? Maybe u would get more families there instead of a bunch of teenagers that tear stuff up.”

Diamond Lake Resort Inc
Mar 16, 2007 by John Osborne from Borden, IN

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Friendly atmosphere, clean park.
  • Very poor cell phone signal, park store has limited inventory.

“On my first trip with our new Sunnybrook, actually our first camper in over 20 years, we went to diamond lake. My sister in law keeps a unit there almost the entire season so we decided it would be a good place for RV newbie's. All of the sites are full hookups with concrete pads and most are shaded to some degree. The staff acts more like good friends than employees and always willing to lend a hand. On our third night there, we returned to our camper to find that the door lock was broken and we couldn't get into the camper. As I said, this was our first trip and I hadn¿t bothered to bring any tools. To make a long story short, one of the campground owners had worked as a locksmith. He came to our site and had the door open in seconds. We've returned several times since and have always been greeted as friends rather than customers.”

  • Its fun for all ages.
  • It¿s smoky just like any other bowling alley.

“It is a great bowling alley and a great place to take the family it is even better on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 10:00 because they have cosmic bowling and that is when all the lights go off and everything glows in the dark and they play music and you can request music. ”

  • The shows are wonderful!
  • We wish there were more!

“The shows we attended at the Carnegie Theater have been absolutely wonderful! RAGTIME was a once in a lifetime treat and the other shows could certainly equal those on Broadway. All the seats are excellent and we've requested to be notified when a new show is scheduled. A THEATRICAL TREAT for sure. A don't miss where the arts are concerned.”

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Family fun, my kids loved it.
  • Too many butt, fart, booger, and pee jokes in the dramas.

“Good family fun. Friendly staff. The rides are all gone and I think this will hurt business. The park is an old west town with a drama every half hour or so. The kid who works in the magic shop is motivated and entertaining. My family of 5 went for less than $50 admission, so it was worth the money. There are pigs and goats to feed but you buy their food to feed their animals. Too many butt, fart, booger, and pee jokes in the dramas. ”

Briar Bowl Lanes

  • Very nice, and organized!
  • Kind of crowded.

“The bowling allies are pretty good, it's just when you first walk up to go into the building there are millions of cigarette butts. It gets really annoying, also inside the building it is always crowded either there needs to be a maximum capacity or they need more bowling lanes that would probably be good, because I always see people waiting to use a lane. ”

  • The family atmosphere.
  • The cost of everything was a bit steep.

“Visited yesterday for the first time. Staff was friendly and offered to help when necessary. The cost of chips and soda was high, but there was a nice little snack bar and game room. There was also a bar for drinks and pool playing. I also saw a big screen in there. Pretty nice. Played the Juke Box, but had to stop the music for the leagues. ”

  • Rewards good play.
  • Needs more bunkers.

“This is one of the most enjoyable courses around. lots of variety. Moderately challenging, a true measure of one's handicap, not terribly penal and encourages better than average pace of play but it certainly demands good shotmaking to score well.”

  • I love the exhibit on bubbles. It was awesome!
  • The bridge that you are supposed to build doesn't work.

“The Children's museum is an enjoyable experience. It combines education with interesting facets that make it a fun learning experience. It is really not that great for children over the age of 10 or 11 due to the setup of the learning process. It is really good though. I have been there twice myself and it was still fun the second time!”

  • Bent Grass fairways on a VERY challenging layout at reasonable course fees.

“This is one of Kentucky's tougher rated public courses. It has about 14 lakes, 85 bunkers, and is approximately 7000 yards from the Blue tees. Staying in the fairways is a must if you want to score well. Greens fees are very reasonable,”
