Royal Crest Lanes
Aug 20, 2009 by Jeff from Lawrence

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • Looks good from the outside.
  • Nasty restrooms!

“No effort made during the day to take care of the customers. You are at the mercy of the manager. She doesn't seem to care. Lanes constantly break down and damage equipment. Restrooms at gas stations look better.”

Ku Natural History Museum
Nov 13, 2007 by Jason Applebee from Andover

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Interesting exhibits.
  • Sketchy employees.

“My boys and I were really excited when we first got to the museum. But there was a middle aged gentleman who greeted us at the door who was kind of creepy. We kind of wanted to explore the museum for ourselves but this guy kept nagging us. I think his name was Tristan from his name tag. I became particularly alarmed when the boys wandered off on they're own and I came around a corner to find that guy down on one knee with his hand on my youngest boy's shoulder. Justin is 9. I don't know how well the university screens they're employees, but that guy was too "friendly" for an establishment that is supposed to be kid friendly. Later I phoned the campus police and I haven't heard anything back yet.”

Sedgwick County Zoo
Jun 1, 2007 by Jenny from Wichita

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • I can see so many animals from different parts of the world all in one day.
  • I never see the wolves in their exhibit.

“I keep going back to the zoo with the kids. They love it! Having only the Denver and KC zoos to compare it too, they still love this one close to home. We also visited the new penguin exhibit for the first time yesterday and it was great that the penguins were all just right there. Being so close to them so the kids could see them so well, especially for my 4 year old, was wonderful. We always enjoy the days we go to the zoo.”

Cherry Oaks Golf Course
Nov 6, 2006 by Travis from Cheney

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Great service.
  • Windy

“As an employee I would have to say that cherry oaks is a nice well kept golf course that is great for large group gatherings. The only bad thing about this course is that it is in Kansas and we all know what Kansas weather is like windy.”

Sedgwick County Zoo
Jul 23, 2006 by Sarah from Ponca City, OK

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Easy to see animals ~ Well maintained ~ Extensive children's zoo ~ Laid out for no backtracking.
  • Overpriced concessions.

“I love zoos. My husband and I visit zoos everywhere we go, so I wasn't sure what kind of experience I was going to have at this "little" zoo that was so close to home. As it turns out, this is a great zoo! The zoo is laid out perfectly, so that you can see all the exhibits without a lot of backtracking. In fact, we were only there from noon to closing and saw every single exhibit! The day we went was very hot, so they had some of the animals inside, but for each animal they had inside there was a place for us to go and look at it inside. We probably saw 98% of the animals on exhibit. Most of the animals you could see very closely, inside or out. This zoo also has an extensive kids petting area, with animals from Asia, America, and Africa on display up close and personal. There are also many exhibits where some animals roam free, which gives you a chance to get very close to them. There are lots of food machines throughout the place so you can feed some of the animals, and zoo keeper feeding times are on display so you can watch the feedings if you wish. The whole zoo is divided into exhibits from different geographic areas, and the areas are decorated in the style, with plants, buildings, music, and the like.. Everything was clean and well maintained. The only negative thing I have to say is that no one should ever have to pay $10 for 2 hot dogs and 2 waters. Bring your own snacks! I would recommend this zoo to anyone.”

Old Cowtown Museum
Jun 2, 2006 by Fred from Lansing, MI

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • Cool buildings.
  • Not enough rein actors.

“I wouldn't waste time visiting this attraction. I was there during the week and, while the town was kind of cool, there were only three re-in actors; a guy in the camp, one printing newspapers and a woman dressed as a saloon girl in the tavern. It was more of a ghost town than a cowtown. Save your money.”

Stagg Hill Golf Club Pro Shop
Mar 27, 2006 by Drew from Manhattan

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Great greens fees, only 12.50 if you walk at twilight 2:30 pm.
  • Lots of hardpan, very crowded In nice weather.

“Stag Hill is an excellent course for the price you pay. The fairways are well maintained and are mostly lush zoysa. The course is good for beginners but the greens can be tricky to read as some are shaded by large trees while others are not. This course is also playable for the shorter hitters, and is extremely rewarding for the bombers if fairly accurate.”

Stagg Hill Golf Club Pro Shop
Nov 9, 2005 by Paul from Derby, Kansas

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • The layout of the course is great. You can get out on some of the holes and not see anyone else.
  • Some of the rough is sparse.

“Stagg Hill Golf Club is a great course for the beginner or the expert alike. The course is engulfed in a forest of huge mature trees. Would recomend this course to anyone travelling to Manhattan.”
