T-Bowl Newington
Jul 29, 2009 by Sarah from MARYLAND

Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5

  • It was air conditioned.
  • The air conditioning smelt like body odor.

“It was very nice but smelled kind of bad. Good for families that are smelly.”

Sally's Apizza
Dec 17, 2008 by R

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Good pizza if you have the patience of Buddha.
  • Incredibly dirty, rude staff, awful service, disgusting place, long wait.

“A horrific experience! Visited Sally's for the second and last time last night. There was no line and we were seated promptly. I ordered a medium mozzarella pie after 10 minutes of trying to get the waiter's attention. Then the wait began. 1 hr & 15 minutes later, still no pizza! Sally's is a dump. I am all for old charm & tradition but don't care for this filthy dirty place. I am sure the health department hasn't stopped by in many years. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with these morons who will treat you like a second class citizen. I don't understand the hype or why anyone would deal with all the aggravation just for a pizza. Plenty of other great brick oven options in New Haven. Try Bar or Pepe's up the street. I can not recommend to you enough to avoid this awful place.”

Hospital Of St Raphael
Oct 25, 2008 by linda from madison

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • We left alive.
  • People need to be fired. staff lies, staff goes to war with family. disgusting.

“Snippy, unbending and uncompassionate. Nursing supervisor took nurse's side (who was straight out lying) against the family. No offer of patient relations intervention. Hospital is dying from lack of care for those who pay the bills. Never again! Go to a real hospital. Yale is right down the street.”

Shennecossett Golf Course
May 17, 2008 by David from Blacksburg, VA.

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Classic 110 year old golf course, great course conditions.
  • None.

“The golf course is a challenging, but fair design. Great old Donald Ross design with nice holes on the shore of Long Island Sound & Thames River. It has a seaside links look and plays nicely from the whites, and much harder than the yardage from the blues. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Par Four in the clubhouse has great food too. This course was just awarded the #1 public course in Ct. by the PGA too. I can't wait to come back next year with a group.”

Lake Compounce Lp
Feb 10, 2008 by Person with the face from Bristol

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • I liked the helpful, polite employees.
  • Nothing about this park is bad!

“This park is truly amazing! The employees are really hot and are friendly, funny, nice, polite, and helpful. You don't have to worry about getting dehydrated, because they have free drinks. Also, the rides are fantastic and make you want to stay the entire day. What are you waiting for? Get off your butt and get down there!”

Louis' Lunch
Dec 29, 2007 by JoAnn from Brooklyn, Staten Island

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • The place was charming.
  • Service could not have been ruder.

“I heard wonderful things about Louis' lunch, so I was quite excited to eat there. The service was most unfriendly. The food was a hunk of chop meat on white toast. The flavor, bland. I tried to ask for salt and pepper, but was informed "don't even ask". To say I was disappointed is an understatement.”

The Orchards Golf Course
May 17, 2007 by John from Stratford

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6

  • Easy course for starters - Apples are free.
  • Too slow for the motivated player.

“The Orchards is a short 9 hole course with a par of 32. With only a couple of opportunities to pull out a driver I'd call this course a good place to practice your irons and short game, or a great place to go for a father-son round. Catering to a mixed crowd with a large contingent of retirement age folks, play can slow down a bit so maintenance is a virtue. Expect to spend about 2.5 hours on the course if there's a crowd.”

Midstate Services Llc
May 9, 2007 by Judy Edge from Cheshire CT

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Everything was positive, from the care, the nurses, doctor and the convenience of parking and getting appointments.
  • Cannot think of any.

“Our son received his chemotherapy treatment for cancer there and they were great to him. The nurses were wonderful, friendly, upbeat, on time with his treatments, everything was clean, and the added convenience of nearby parking made it easy when you had to go everyday for weeks. We cannot say enough good things about his doctor, Dr. Gerard Fumo. He was thorough, caring, made us feel it was alright to get a second opinion and very cooperative in sending his tests and paperwork to another doctor. We felt reassured that he was getting the right treatment and at times went out of his way to get information for Greg on his condition. We also felt that his treatment was done in record time. ”

Tweed New Haven Airport
Mar 29, 2007 by Mike from Hamden CT

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Easy in and out.
  • No jet service, no restaurant, tiny terminal.

“Tweed new haven airport is useful if you don't mind that you are not flying on a jet. Now with the nonstop Baltimore flights on pan am and the nonstop Philadelphia flights on USAir and USAir¿s new lower prices from tweed, it is completely worth it; driving right in, parking, and walking immediately to the gate and plan. If you don't mind any jets (since delta left) tweed makes sense.”

Mitchell College
Mar 22, 2007 by Chris from New Milford

Overall Rating: 4 User Rating Score: 4

  • Nothing.
  • Every thing.

“This school is the worst attempt at a higher education program. Yes they have a small private school, with a decent academic program and a lot of hands on learning but the student body are a sack of un-intelligent, mentally enrapt, animals. You¿d be surprised how depressing campus life can get, especially when every where you go it looks like they freed the animals from the zoo. ”

Sikorsky Memorial Airport
Jan 6, 2007 by John from Stratford

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Friendly service.
  • Car rental inconvenience.

“I flew out of Bridgeport on a business trip to Atlanta, gad. The captain of my company's gulf stream was very experienced, and the staff at Bridgeport was jovial and extremely helpful upon my arrival. I recommend Bridgeport to all local flyers and business corporations, you will not be disappointed.”

Hospital Of St Raphael
Sep 19, 2006 by Patricia from Orange, CT

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Friendly kindness of personnel.
  • George St. Garage is a little weird to exit from.

“Today I went as an outpatient to get a follow-up mammogram. Christina, the technician who worked with me, could not have been kinder or more considerate when glitches occurred: first the computer malfunctioned in the room we were using, then there was a delay in getting the doctor to look at the images. I was starting to worry I would miss an appointment I had. Christina took me to a phone so I could call those waiting for me, and when I was finally able to leave, she provided pad for a tender area on me. Just a very compassionate & professional young woman”

Mansfield Drive-In
Jul 11, 2006 by Ruth from Willimantic, CT.

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • Good price if you take a car load in.
  • People/children who are not courteous.

“If it weren't for rude people and children who are unruly, going to a drive-in could be a fun family experience. But I am afraid courtesy is a thing of the past. My experience at the Mansfield Drive in was unfortunate. I would watch a movie at home or somewhere else before I went back to all the noise!”

Earthplace
Jun 14, 2006 by Daniel from Trumbull

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Perfect, fun spot to learn about nature and our environment.
  • You have to check their website for directions. Not enough signs on the main roads.

“Great place. Some nice trails to walk. Try the swamp trail. They have a number of raptors including two beautiful bald eagles. In the building, for a small charge, they also have a great interactive area called Nature place. Several great dioramas are there. They even have a small theater that was showing a movie all about bugs. The stuffed mounts of birds and mammals are pretty awesome. A great day trip. ”

Mansfield Drive-In
May 20, 2006 by Joan from Waterford

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • It was fun to take little one to play in playground.
  • Wish the play area had more and more away from woods.

“It is so wonderful to still have a drive-in to take the family to. Took my kids when they were young and two years ago took my little grandson. This year and soon hope to bring my great grand-daughter who is three. My grand son was in awed to be able to sit in our RV outside and watch movies. I feel it is a great experience that some day he & she will be able to tell their children about. Thank You for still being there.”

Cinerom Movie Plex
May 16, 2006 by Amy from Thomaston

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Plays the movies I want to see.
  • Everything.

“This movie theater is very poorly run by the very young staff. I am always disappointed when I go to this theater unfortunately it's the only one around. It's dirty they run out of basic things like butter for popcorn or coke their prices are way to high. Service is absolutely horrible They could care less if you were there or not. It's sometimes very dirty. It's just not what I remember growing up and going to that movie theater was like. It wasn't that long ago I am only 30 So take a chance or not.”

Peabody Museum of Natural History
Apr 7, 2005 by Aaron W . from Fairfield, CT

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Fun for the whole family
  • none

“I love taking my daughter. They have lots of dinosaurs, meteors, plants, etc. A great natural history museum that you can easily spend hours in. It's a new haven landmark that you should visit at least once. They also have revolving exhibits that change a few times per year. Just saw a great exhibit on Macchu Picchu. (Did I spell that right?)”

Bartlett Arboretum Association
Mar 10, 2005 by Michael M . from Stamford, CT

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Great collection of conifers. Pleasant and well-maintained nature trails.
  • Spooky visitor's center (could be a pro for the ghost hunter in you).

“This is a great spot for a quiet summer lunch amongst North Stamford's natural wonder. Originally a private research facility founded by Dr. Francis A. Bartlett, this site is now managed by the University of Connecticut. Great collection of nature trails. Beware the visitor's center -- Bartlett's old house... it's haunted!

The Arboretum's official site is actually - http://bartlett.arboretum.uconn.edu/index.html”

Keeler Tavern Museum
Jan 19, 2005 by Brett K . from Ridgefield, CT

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Perfect Ridgefield Experience
  • Hours of operation are limited

“This beautiful historical building and grounds are located right on Ridgefield's famous Main Street. This is one of the area's most interesting buildings and is a great place to visit if you want a taste of the local history and culture. The local resident's work as volunteers and dress up in old new England style dress" and give guided tours of the Tavern and the grounds. One of the coolest things to see is the cannon ball lodged in the side of the tavern from Battle of Ridgefield. The following quote comes from their Web site: "On April 27. 1777 after the Battle of Ridgefield during the Revolutionary War”

Danbury Railway Museum, Inc.
Dec 18, 2004 by Tom G . from Ridgefield

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Lots of equipment
  • Many items are not yet restored.

“The museum is in a former railroad station and has two model train displays in the station, as well as a number of historical photographs and displays. Outside in the yard, there is a good variety of rolling stock and diesel locomotives. It's a special treat to visit during the spring railfair weekend, when various activities are available for young and old.”
