Jungle Jim's Playlands Of Arizona, Inc
Oct 4, 2008 by Kristen from phoenix

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Food, jungle Jim, rides, games.
  • Maybe needs to update rides.

“I thought this place was a fun little place to take my daughter and nephew. They had a blast! The rides there were ok and could use new rides but they were not that bad or dirty. They were well maintained and the staff would get you in the ride as soon as they could. When we went there was maybe 4 staff assisting with rides, so there was no wait at all. We were going again very soon. For a good, little, fun place to take your kids, I would recommend this place. The food was great too!”

Uptown 3 Theater
May 26, 2008 by Nancy from Sierra Vista, az.9

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • None.

“I do go to both Theaters in Sierra Vista regularly to see 1-3 Movies a week. While the big theater at the mall is the newest theater, I prefer the "feel" of the smaller 3-film theater. It has the most comfortable seats by far, I has all the necessary concessions. It is clean, comfortable and friendly. It's like a Mom & Pop atmosphere. We go to an early evening show time & enjoy their sausages, & have them for our dinner, popcorn, & soda for our dinner on those evenings. Yummy. Also of interest is the fact that they weren't having the most desirable movies when we started going there, with a very small attendance. We liked the theater and the managers so tried to keep going there to help keep them in business. Now we see a great increase in attendance and recent releases. I guess we weren't the only ones with these opinions!”

Sedona Super Vue Theater
Apr 8, 2008 by Tammy from Gig Harbor

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Beautiful Views!
  • Danger of falling.

“Have climbed 2 sides of Bell Rock. Everything is provided on Bell Rock! My first climb was unintentional. We had just stopped to take pictures and before you know it we were all the way up the rock with no water. We got part way up and my companion was wishing that he had some sun glasses. We rounded a corner and there they were: sunglasses lying on a ledge. We continued some more trying to figure out how to get further up, when around a corner came a native American man who offered to guide us further up the rock. We got almost to the top and discovered that we were thirsty. At that point, another party of climbers rounded the corner and offered us some water. When I got to the top, I looked and felt 10 years younger! Everything is provided on Bell Rock!.”

Tucson Greyhound Park
Mar 21, 2008 by Lacefullone

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • There are people trying to help the dogs after they are done racing.
  • The industry breeds so many dogs, 10,000 greyhounds die a year despite rescue efforts.

“Poorly maintained, ghetto track plagued by scandal and animal right violations. Do not go here- icky place in "the rough part of town" Not what you want nice tourists seeing, and as a nice tourist, you don't want any part of this place. It's an embarrassment to the community. The Tucson track is one of the worst in the country- this is where dogs go to die-or disappear in the desert with their ears cut off. You bet, they die.”

Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza
Jan 12, 2008 by Sharon Weiss from Stevensville, Md

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Beautiful park, acknowledgement of all aspects of our countries history.
  • Lack of extensive information of each exhibit area with photos from either all or the majority of exhibits statues.

“I was very impressed with this park. It had memorials for all of our (the US) conflicts & wars. It recognized not only the people of these battles but also included the K-9's that have given their lives in the line. The park is well maintained & there is plenty of room to walk around for hours reading the many tablets of history. The sculptures are beautiful & extremely life like. It is like a giant time capsule that is left open for all to see. I found this park by chance. I wish there were more information with photos of all of the exhibits available.”

  • The pitch to attend sales presentation.

“Good experience, wish we'd had time to do more than one trail. Only negative: when purchasing ticket, low key sales pitch for a free ride if you attend a (high pressure!) Sales presentation for a local time share company. Our advice: pay the price and avoid the presentation. Other than that, a good, fun time, well worth the price. Go and enjoy.”

Advanced Urgent Care
Sep 24, 2007 by Elizabeth from Tempe, AZ

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • The front desk staff was very nice.
  • The place was dirty, scary, and did not address my concerns.

“Do not go here! I was horrified by the service I received at this center. I waited more than two hours to speak to a male doctor who was clearly very uncomfortable examining me or discussing the symptoms of my "female troubles." Refusing to make eye contact or do any tests after he found a lump, he prescribed an antibiotic and told me that hopefully it will go away. When I questioned this, he told me that maybe it is hormonal and left the room. The nurse tried to touch me with the same gloves that she had entered the room wearing, and after my examination, saved her used gloves on the counter rather than throwing them away. The waiting and examination rooms needed cleaning, and the bathroom rivaled that of a busy Wal-Mart for filth. There are multiple urgent care centers in this area. Please choose a different one if you are in need of medical care on a Saturday!”

“We arrived at this park in 2004. We were only going to stay for a week. It turned out we liked the park and the friendly people so much we decided to buy a permanent 29ft tenament and leave it there and return each year. We find there is so much to do in the park and also it is so close to all amenities. i.e.: airport, hospital, flea market, restaurants, and grocery stores to mention a few.”

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • None.
  • Dirty, not enough staff.

“Limited rides which are very dirty and not maintained well. Many of the bump cars were broken and sitting in middle of car area. We had to wait for staff to show up at a ride if we wanted to ride. Same person was handling many different rides so there was a wait. There were no more than 20 kids there (12 in our group) and still there was not enough staff. No birthday party going on over the weekend? Something is seriously wrong with this place. Staff didn't seem to care if your child was old enough to ride on a particular ride. I saw little kids on rides where only 42" and above were allowed. Anyway, I got home and was checking their food inspection rating and saw this comment. "Luncheon meats dated in January not discarded" and this comment was in march! They were selling two months old meat? I want to throw up so bad. Please don't take your kids to this place.”

Biosphere 2
Mar 20, 2007 by Joyce from Dallas

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Beauty, good guide.
  • Parts have been allowed to degrade, like the ocean/salt marsh. Lots of walking and steps, hard on elderly knees.

“I thought it was fascinating. Our guide had been an employee when the big experiment was started, and he gave us details about the building process, how the biosphere was sealed off, what materials were used. It is a mistake to think of the project as a failure. As batman's butler said, why do we fall? To learn how to get up." Even though the biosphere did not succeed at its goal, a lot was learned about ecosystems. Also about people cooped up together for a long time. As a science fiction reader, I think the knowledge is important if we ever try to set up sealed cities on some planet. The building is beautiful. The various environments are fascinating. The system to control the air pressure without letting in any outside air was ingenious, if a little spooky to tour. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you like science fiction. A friend of mine suggested that if a group of people went together and bought it, as a co-op, it would make a great retirement village!”

Bell Rock
Oct 28, 2006 by Vilas from Phoenix

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Great climb and great views from mid-top.
  • For new comers need to have directions on how to reach the top.

“Good place to visit. I love it. You don't have too many trails to cover, just couple of them. The trail is ok; however climbing up the hill is exciting. Going up is not so difficult, however while coming down (only at few places) some people might have to sit on their bums (still not so risky). Unfortunately I couldn't go to top as from the n-west (near to 89a) end after reaching certain point you can't climb the ~8ft wall. Not sure if there is way from other end (and if you come from other end don't think to climb down from opposite end as the 8 ft wall can be climbed down only if someone is there to give you support from below. Also sometimes the directions are not clear at the mid and upper portion of the hill (they have rocks piled up for directions at the bottom). If you climb from new (near to 89a) you have to just go straight up (unless it¿s difficult, in which case try some other way). Also I couldn't experience to so called vortex energy: Anyways the views from top are quiet beautiful. ”

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Fun atmosphere and well-kept.
  • Holes in bowling balls wrong size for my fingers.

“This bowling alley, summed up in one word, is COOL. The facilities all have a retro-space feel to them, made of durable plastics. The food is good for bowling fare, I had the chicken strips and the fries, and I ate the whole thing. The staff is friendly and helpful and everything is kept up pretty well. Try the evening Cosmic Bowling, with lights and strange music videos playing. Makes for an interesting party atmosphere. The only complaint was that even if I did find the right size ball, the holes were either way too small or way too big for my fingers to fit through. All in all, a really fun experience.”

Tombstones Historama
Aug 6, 2006 by Robert Scherling from Los Angeles, CA

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • The most historical spot in Tombstone, AZ.
  • Its very hot in southern Arizona in the summer and the show seating is in the sun.

“The OK Corral in Tombstone, AZ is the site of the famous Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. A map drawn by Wyatt Earp himself shows where the gunfighters stood on October 26, 1881. Life-sized moving figures explain the gunfight. There is also a boarding house and photo gallery next to the gunfight site displaying photographs of 1880s Tombstone and the Apache Geronimo taken by a local photographer. We saw Doc Holiday's room in the boarding house. At 2pm every day the Gunfight at the OK Corral is re-enacted. The show is aimed at families and includes a safe gun demonstration and several silly skits before the actual powerful reenactment of the gunfight. After the show, they let us take our photo with the Earps and Doc Holiday, Next door we saw Tombstone's Historama with a moving diorama and video telling the history of Tombstone narrated by actor Vincent Price. Our ticket also included a copy of the original 1881 Tombstone Epitaph newspaper with the reports of the Gunfight. ”

  • Southern Arizona is HOT in the summer.

“The O.K. Corral is the famous gunfight site where Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Virgil and Morgan Earp fought the Clantons and McLaurys on October 26, 1881. You can "Walk Where They Fell" on the very spot where the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral began. There is also a display of over 100 1880s photographs of Tombstone and the Apache Geronimo taken by C.S. Fly whose Photographic Gallery is next to the gunfight site. You can also learn the story of Tombstone at Tombstone's Historama, an audio-video presentation narrated by

Vincent Price. Every day at 2 pm the gunfight is reenacted. Show tickets are only $2 and he show is aimed a the younger set. You can also purchase a reprint of the 1881 newspaper reports of the gunfight in the Tombstone Epitaph. This is the event that made Tombstone famous and should not be missed.”

Sun Valley High School

  • All around fantastic school with great opportunity.
  • I haven't seen anything negative.

“Awesome school! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The school isn't like Scottsdale schools like Desert Mountain that sit back and watch your child fail. They step-up and help them to succeed, not only while attending but even after graduation they offer to help students with resumes or advice and even ask them to come visit and let them know how they're doing. Several students received scholarships that the school offers and others the school helped them to receive scholarships from other sources.

This school is fantastic and I highly recommend it for anyone but don't believe me, call and talk to them yourself. I find myself asking where they were when I was in school.
