Slobodan
Aug 3, 2009 by eleanor from seattle

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • I could, several years ago, actually find a small original I could afford, framed in a small dark cabinet door which allowed the blues to glow and the blue-eyed cat to loom matter-of-factly over a boy.
  • The shop is difficult to re-find a year later on a hot July day. Hardly has to do with the artist, now does it!

“The man, the music, the mode - what a find to stumble onto Slobodan's small shop across the street, oops! Eglise in Ol Nice. He has a most pleasant style. I give him a hearty 10 for what he does.”

  • Nothing.
  • Not clean.

“The worst hostel we have been to. People were really unfriendly and only spoke French, bathrooms and showers were really not clean at all.”

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Interesting holes with lots of D Day history.
  • Price.

“Pleasant golf course, quite hilly so best to have a buggy! 3 loops of 9 holes. Interesting holes overlooking Port en Bessin, a little expensive though. Holes named after WW2 and D Day important people with photo's of named people visiting course. Good condition and welcoming clubhouse. A must if you are in the area.”

Opera Garnier
May 10, 2009 by Wendy from Kitchener

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Beautiful views inside and outside.
  • Crowded and the main theater was the least interesting part.

“The only problem was the amount of people passing through. Although there were rumors of a lake beneath, there was very little water, or that's what we're told. The public was not permitted below. Even if the theater was unaccessible, which sometimes is when preparing for, or during a show, I would recommend it.”

Cathedrale Saint-Sauveur
Apr 6, 2008 by Shannon

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Interesting and different.
  • Unheated In winter.

“Nothing like the Notre Dame of Paris, Cathedrale de Saint-Saveur Is actually a bit awkward In design. The additions to the cathedral spanned centuries and can be traced as you walk around thanks to the architecture.”

  • Marionettes, architecture.
  • Limited attractions.

“The Museum Is pretty small and therefore hosts a limited number of Items, but the marionettes and general atmosphere of the old architecture make It worth seeing. Plus, It Is pretty cheap so If you have some free time I suggest It.”

Avenue des Champs-Elysees
Dec 19, 2007 by Barbara from Gold HIll OR

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • Food.
  • Pigeons.

“The avenue is heavily populated with people and pigeons! I never tire of window shopping on the avenue. You'll find cafes from McDonalds to upscale. And at the end, climbing the Arc De Triomphe is a triumph of its own! There is a "lift" to the top, but walking the steps is much more fun and challenging. Remember, the bathroom is at the top!”

  • It looked magnificent.
  • Smelled really rotten.

Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2
Jun 1, 2007 by margaret from adelaide south australia

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • One of my favorite cities.
  • Got lost last time to our hotel.

“Traveling to Paris in December with my 20yr old daughter. flying into Charles De Gale at 6.30am on a Wednesday morning. I am seeking information regarding the most efficient way to center of Paris to our hotel. Should we use the blue vans (48hour booking and door to door) or would a taxi be best. Which would be the most efficient at that time of the day, and the price for a taxi.”

Jardin des Plantes (Le)
Apr 29, 2007 by Robert from San Diego

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Y people.
  • People having in public.

“It was beautiful, but I would not recommend taking your children there. My wife and I saw four different couples in the grass doing the "no pants-dance". It turned me on, but my wife and kids didn't like it. I recommend it to single, horny guys.”

Basilique de Fourviere
Mar 4, 2007 by mick from queanbyan

  • It is ok I guess but there should be more information.
  • It doesn¿t even say what Lyon is known for.

“It doesn¿t say what Lyon is known for! How lame!”

Au Pied dans l'Plat
Oct 21, 2006 by Guy from Caracas

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere.
  • A bit loud. Better if you don't understand all they are saying.

“Crazy place, raucous humor, ribald songs, great atmosphere. The door is about four feet above floor level, and you enter by stepping directly onto a long table where lots of people are sitting and eating and yelling. They take time off from singing their ribald songs to voice risque comments on the ladies form and whistle and shout at the newcomers. You get more than you can eat. Pretty tasty by Lyon standards, unbelievable anywhere else. Lots of laughter and singing and shouting until late into the night, with plenty of wine. Also outrageously and unabashedly politically incorrect. An experience you will remember. Not for A retentive persons. At least, that's the way it used to be when I was a student at the Beaux Arts. I wouldn't be surprised if they have sobered up and cleaned up their act since those long gone days. But I would be greatly disappointed. Worth checking.”

Chateau de Versailles
Oct 20, 2006 by Peggy from Baltimore,Md

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • I loved the hall of mirrors I was incredible.
  • Not enough time to explore the gardens completely. Next time I would go for a full day.

“My visit to Versailles was amazing. When you first walk into the hall of mirrors it is breathtaking. There is so much to see that I feel it would be impossible to appreciate everything in on visit. Don't forget to look at the painted ceilings, they are beautiful. Since I just returned from France about three weeks ago, my memories are still fresh in my mind. In addition, my hundreds of photos help. A hint, if possible please use a digital camera without a flash. The pictures turned out great.”

Palais de la Mediterranee
Jul 1, 2006 by John Smith

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Nice Atmosphere.
  • Low maximum betting amount.

“The casino is quite charming, with a big variety of slot machines, roulette and poker. Unfortunately, there is only one roulette (2 tables, and the roulette is quite different from the usual American, English or French one), and the maximum betting amount is 400 Euro, which is quite low, considering the casino lies in a very wealthy area. Other than that, the bar is great, the atmosphere, sounds, lights, personnel is extremely well presented. Good experience.”

Musee d'Orsay
Jun 8, 2006 by William from Aurora

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Great collection of Impressionist painting and other arts.
  • Rude security are so Parisian.

“I learned about this museum when I was studying Impressionist paintings. Many of them were labeled as the collection of this museum. The collection contains much more than just the Impressionist paintings. The building itself is also a wonderful renovation, a proper mix of old and new. The three giant clocks on/in the building are fantastic. Get there early before opening to avoid the long line.”

  • A real credit to Historical Architechure, BREATHTAKING!
  • NONE. JUST VIST IT!

“Ok, this is not the real Arc de Triumphe, but just to stand beneath it, gives you a real sense of what French History is all about.”
