Nyepi Holy Day

• The island is a magical place and would love to revisit.
• Can't think of a thing.

“All I can say is that whatever you do make sure you get to the airport the night if flying out of the country on Nyepi day! I attempted the trip to Denpasar on Nyepi day and as a tourist thought I'd be fine. Various streets are policed by beautifully dressed Balinese men and when they found me wondering to find a taxi, they fined me an amount (can't remember how much as this happened in 1994) and taken to a home stay. All very board line adventurous. I managed to go a standby flight the next day.”
