Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • So big, very modern and has a huge variety of shops and stuff.
  • Hard to go back to a shop you liked if you aren't sure where it was.

“It is wonderful with great shopping. So many mobile phones! Many little things that most people like. But as someone has already said it is hard to go back to a great shop (especially if it was a mobile phone one) because there are so many.”

Jim Thompson's House and Museum
Mar 15, 2005 by Annabel c . from Sydney australia

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • An oasis in Bangkok. Antiques and history, the house is beautiful the cafe has great food and drinks and the shop full of gems.
  • Sometimes hard to understand the english by tour guide

“I go here every trip and I go often to Bangkok. It is peace and quiet amongst the chaos of Bangkok. Jim Thompson's history is fascinating and the thought of an American in Thailand working in the Thai Silk industry and living in this beautiful house full of history and antiques and on one of the canals (klungs) is a drawcard for me. The cafe has great food and drinks and the shop is full of wonderful gifts of the highest quality. It is a really lovely place to visit when you are feeling tired of the noise and crowds of this city. They have a guided tour though the english pronunciaton is variable. But there is doesn't seem to matter.”

  • Everything available - leather, silver, electrical
  • Hard to backtrack and find shop if you want to return

“Great fun place to take the kids, wonderful silver shops, handbags and leather goods. The escalators are worth standing under just to look up... looks like a ant colony from the top.”
