With more than 25,000 Tulsans employed in the local aerospace industry, you'd expect Tulsa International Airport to be an exemplary airport - and for the most part it is. The airport is served by 10 major airlines like United, Southwest and Delta, and several charter airlines offering more than 3 million travelers each year over 80 daily departures including almost 20 nonstop flights. Nonstop flights to Chicago, Houston and Dallas-Ft.Worth have the most daily departures. The airport is medium-sized and relatively modern with two concourses extending from a central main terminal. It's located 10 minutes northeast of downtown Tulsa, Okla., making it a convenient gateway to Tulsa, a city with a unique blend of southern charm and western swagger.
