San Angelo Regional Airport8618 Terminal Cir, San Angelo, TXWeb: Visit this site » San Angelo Regional Airport / Mathis Field is the only commercial airport in the Concho Valley of west Texas. The airport is served by American Eagle and Continental Airlines offering daily, nonstop flights to Houston Bush Intercontinental and Dallas/Ft. Worth. The airport is located approximately eight miles southwest of San Angelo's central business district and within the city limits. John Schwab Terminal, a 20,000 square foot building with four gates, is named after the airport manager who oversaw the airport until his retirement in 1996. The airport itself is named for San Angelo native, Jack Mathis, the first aviator in World War II who was awarded the Medal of Honor.
