Seattle Tacoma International

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, more commonly known as Sea-Tac Airport, is located between its two namesake cities in Washington's Puget Sound region. The airport is a hub for Alaska Airlines and is served by over 25 other domestic and international airlines. From Sea-Tac, you can fly nonstop to over 50 destinations in the U.S. and 15 international destinations including Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia. The busy airport consists of a main terminal with four concourses and two satellite terminals. The satellite terminals are linked to the main terminal by an efficient underground train system. To accommodate the area's surging growth, the airport is in the midst of a multi-year capital improvement project that's scheduled for completion in 2010, so be prepared to encounter construction zones until then. As part of this project, a completely renovated Concourse A was opened in the summer of 2004. The formerly old and cramped concourse was expanded from seven to fourteen gates and features an arrivals hall with a stunning 70-foot high wall of glass. Art features prominently in the new concourse and throughout the airport. You can get current exhibit locations from the directional signs on the esplanade behind the ticket counters in the main terminal.
